4 for atmosphere as for most of our time we were the only table. I imagine when busier the atmosphere is great. Albi was fantastic, food was immense. Huge portions and super tasty. Glad we came, definitely would recommend

The food was absolutely amazing huge portions and quick service as well lovely options to choose from great drink and desserts the only thing I would say is we came around 5:30 so that made us the only one in the restaurant so it was a little awkward the amount of attention we got but the gentlemen that’s greeted us at the door was lovely and attentive. Beautiful interior and great music and lighting

A small, stylish Italian place along the northern end of the Watford high street, with both indoor and outdoor seating perfect for watching the world go by. It was quiet when I went in and the staff were friendly and prompt. The food is great here, the Bruschetta and Penne Pesto being what I had. Definitely stop by here if you’re in Watford.

It was a delightful Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the meal but every dish was delicious and well presented. Unfortunately having ordered sea bass for the main we were told that there wasn't any, however we both had the risotto mariscos which had a lovely assessment of seafood and is highly recommended and the panna cota a firm favourite. There weren't many diners at that time, however the staff were attentive and polite. I would definitely visit again

The food is delicious, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

This is a proper italian authentic restaurant, the pizzas are proper, the pasta al dente, the king prawns amazing, the tiramisu is top noth, the service is friendly and welcoming. I give it 150 out of 100. Highly recommend it.

Me and my partner went for a meal out and it was absolutely lovely. The service was delightful. I had the lobster linguine and it was incredible!!! Will definitely be returning!

Had the lamb chops, amazing meal.

One of the best pastas napoli I’ve ever had in my life. Great tiramisu and bruschetta with real, high grade olive oil. You can taste the quality of ingredients in food and the love that was put into preparation. I will definitely return to taste rest of the menu.

Lovely friendly restaurant and a delicious meal. Our bread starter was really tasty. Then I had tuna and husband had carbonara. Both excellent. Finished with ice cream dessert. Reasonable price and great tasting.

The team are really friendly and the food is amazing. This is my best restaurant in Watford. Definitely worth a try.

Had lunch here today, starters and mains all excellent, I recommend the Polpette alla Diavola, staff were great, definitely going again.

Lovely food, and service that really stands out in Watford. I've dined in most restaurants around the centre and found the service here attentive good quality and friendly. This stands out from the crowd.

We went for a quiet dinner and were really impressed. We walked in and we were greeted warmly. Decor and ambience is chilled and contemporary. Drinks were bought quickly, as was food. Staff were lovely and menu choice was vast. We opted for pizza, sides (you must try crispy zucchini) and bresaola Con rucola. Home-made tiramisu was definitely grandma’s recipe so you must try it. A quiet evening turned into a really special one

We absolutely love this little restaurant , it's become our favourite place to eat in Watford. The atmosphere is always good, the staff and the service are impeccable,......hats off to the kitchen staff for always getting it right :) you do an amazing job. Every dish we have ordered has always been spot on!! The staff are so attentive and will do anything to make your visit a good & happy one. The espresso martini's are amazing......need to get you doing porn star martini's :) X

Service was OK, food was OK but that is about all I can say. I wouldn't not go again but I wouldn't rush back there either.

Pre-booked group so service seemed a bit slow. Nice ambience (not noisy) and convenient location. Good food with plenty of choice.

This is the best restaurant in Watford by far, We have been coming here since it was the Barracuda and we had always loved it, we were a bit concerned when Barracuda moved, but we had no need to worry, the food if anything is better prepared by a top class young chef and served by welcoming friendly staff. The fillet steak is first class and I would say as good if not better the the vastly more expensive Prime restaurant. We have tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. I would urge you to try it you will not be disappointed.

Had the lamb chops and my daughter had the rib eye steak. We always have ours rare and was cooked to perfection and extremely delicious. The service was excellent 👌

Absolutely lovely little gem. Very calming, the food and menu is simple but the depth of flavour is incredible. We paired our food with the house wine which went down a treat, the restaurant and facilities were clean and the staff were very welcoming. All this with a whining 3 year old who became very silent when her food was served so thumb up all around. Hope to see this place again 🙏

Food was amazing, as was the service. We had three courses and they were all so nice. The mozzarella on my starter was creamy and the tomato and avo were so fresh. We all enjoyed our mains, one of our party had the seafood risotto which they loved and the other dishes were as tasty. would 100% recommend, just a shame we live so far away!!

I booked the restaurant for our work Christmas’s lunch and I am so pleased that I chose Il Pellegrino. There were plenty of dishes to choose from and we were offered both the set menu and the a la carte. The food was delicious and the house wine was equally as good. We enjoyed a great service and highly recommend this restaurant for a visit.

Came in on a Monday night at about 830 and had the place largely to myself. Had a Bistecca alla Fiorentina medium as recommended by the server and highly recommend it. The meat was tender and flavourful and the peppercorn sauce had a nice strong flavour and they weren't stingy with the portions. The fries that came with it were excellent as well!

This was the second time we've been to Il Pellegrino. A must-go for quality Italian food and cosy atmosphere. Service was fast and nice... We had really nice time ❤️

I’ve been to Italy, and this is the best Italian food I’ve had, mains were perfect as were the starters, the waiter we had was amazing and the chefs clearly know what they are doing, 10/10.

We were in Watford for a trip to see family and stumbled upon this restaurant. What a great surprise - the atmosphere was lovely, the food was divine and most of all the service was second to none. Our server, Rez, was simply brilliant and catered to our every need. The pizza was stunning and the pasta dishes were just delicious. We finished the night off with deserts and complementary after dinner drinks. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.

I've been there for dinner last weekend. Altough the restaurant is in a convenient location and the staff were welcoming, the food is not great and the wine is disappointing. I would NOT recommend.

We had a great family meal here last night and thoroughly recommend it. My only criticism would be its quite a noisy environment, but there’s not much you can do about that in a small space

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious. The service is excellent so what else can you want?! We booked the Italian restaurant across the street but it was very crowded and busy. My friends and I wanted to catch up over dinner so didn’t feel that was the place for us. However, we walked in Pellegrino and had the best evening and on top of all this the family story behind this wonderful restaurant is heartwarming 💖 Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Absolutely perfect experience, the food was amazing and especially since it was just one guy that was serving everybody in that restarunt I had a margarita pizza which was Lovely The ice cream was so nice and the guy was joking around with everybody. Overall, really good experience definitely. Recommend it for people that love Italian foods.

Didn't get what I was looking for. I needed a diabetes test I was referred to my GP but I struggle getting an appointment so opted for boots but didn't get the service.

Happened upon this restaurant for an after work catch up. We were very happy that we did. Very tasty veal escalope and lamb shank, great service and nice ambience, not to mention excellent value for money. Will definitely return.

Blink and you may miss it by the bridge but inside it’s a small slice of greatness. Great food, flavours and service. Portions are generous but not OTT so no waste. Drinks mixed properly too- with an Aperil coming out the right colour! Our go to every time and very reasonably priced

This is seriously a garbage pizza. Not only is it uncooked but uncut, I’ve never seen such a thing and it has now turned into a “bowl” where the components are to be eaten separately.

Visited for a birthday dinner with family. The food was amazing, some of the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. The waiter arranged a birthday cake for our birthday boy without request which is incredibly thoughtful and excellent service. Favourite moment: rightfully criticising one of our party for wanting parmesan on his tuna. Thank you!

Interesting menu tempted us to try this place. we were not disappointed. Excellent welcome and table service. faultless presentation and quality of food and house wine. A very satisfying dining experience for two with wine at under £80. We will be back.

Great quality Italian food in Watford. The pizza was so good we ordered one more. They cater for customers well and seems like a family run business. The staff could have been a bit more polite but they weren't rude either. Will visit again for sure.

Can't recommend enough - we had a short stay in Watford and chose to come here for a small family dinner. The staff were so accommodating and polite. Very nice service, very tasty food, fresh and fast. I had bruschetta and pasta with seafood, both very tasty and the portions are okay, you won't stay hungry. We were there three times in 6 days, that says it all. You should make a reservation on the weekend, there is also a delivery service, but I haven't tested it.

Wanted to order a four cheese pizza, but to our surprise they don't do that. So ordered another which was just okey. There are other Italian restaurants near by which have better pizza. On a positive note, they have a kids menu for £9 which was well liked by our 10 year old. Can't comment about their other food as we only had pizza.
