Fratelli Authentic Italian in Watford

Amazing food and outstanding customer service!! Definitely our most favorite local Italian restaurant.

First time there. Had to wait ages for drinks and food. Not many staff on but wasn't that busy. Food mediocre, accompanying salad looked wilted and poor. Presentation bit poor. After our plate of main cleared no waiter returned to ask if wanted desert or more drinks. Waited forty minutes then eventually got waiters attention to bring bill. Three mains and two glasses of wine and a juice £75. Should of taken off £7 service charge as was poor service. Won't be returning.

Drilled good food, and the most important thing is that the service is even better and the attention for the customers and its attention, it is always careful for us is Stefania! And it can be seen in everything he does !! 🥂🍹🍸🍷

Pasta was amazing I had the sea food and was the best sea food pasta I’ve ever had from an Italian restaurant. Great portion and staff were so amazing. Only thing is the chocolate soufflé wasn’t gooey but the pistachio ball and chocolate one was amazing. Will 1000% come again and recommend to friends !

Omgoodness what a little gem in the heat of Watford. Fabulous service and superb food. Had the white bait, calves liver and then prawn pasta and Nonas torte simply divine. Would absolutely recommend

Had calamari, salmon and tiramasu. Lovely food, amazing value and great staff. Visiting from the North east england for the harry potter studio and we wanted to eat at a family restaurant, instead of a chain. It was well worth it. Two 3 course meals and 3 drinks for less than £90. Brilliant value!

Amazing, both food and service! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Showed a real interest in making sure we were happy and enjoyed the food. Garlic king prawn starter was superb and pizza was very nice too. Very busy but service was still speedy and will definitely be back if I am in the area.

A stylish and casual restaurant along the northern strip of Watford’s High street, this is a great place to try some Italian dishes. I recommend the Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, it’s delicious and very filling.

Wonderful dinner, tastes very authentic Italian food, ordered soup of the day, mussels, seafood pasta and king prawn, all of them are very nice, but only king prawn is a bit unworthy. Other than that, all the staff service and the environment are excellent 👍🏼

We love this place, friendly attentive service, always lovely, yummy food whilst being very affordable! House wines also great value. It's a regular spot for me with friends and family and will continue to dine here too! X

We stopped in for lunch having a craving for pasta. Fratelli didn't disappoint at all! In fact we were pleasantly surprised. From the outside it seemed a little 'snobby' and like a very expensive place, but the menu was varied and prices were reasonable. The ambience was great and the American country music on play was surprising but it made the place feel festive and we enjoyed our experience tremendously. The food was pretty good....freshly prepared as we ordered and very tasty. We both had the 2-course set lunch for £12.90. The portion sizes were good and we left totally stuffed...and even had some to take home for leftovers. The service was excellent - Tia was charming, conversational and warm. She helped make our overall dining experience more memorable...and enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Not Italian food .. was served a carbonara that looked like spaghetti in white sauce that tasted of flour and egg with slices up ham sprinkled on it. Was absolutely taken away by the fact that an Italian restaurant butchered Italian food that way. If you don’t know any better , you might like it. My friend’s plates of dinner also looked diabolical and like it has come out of the microwave. If you want something like this but miles better just go to zizzis ..

Great food, amazing service and the works are kind with a happy and good environment

I am a regular customer as I live close by the restaurant. The food is always spot-on and good value for money. But my main reason for posting this review is the level of service offered by the always friendly and competent staff. Unfortunately I have been ill a few times during the year and find the food delivery companies often unreliable and problematic. One phone call directly to the restaurant results in the staff taking my order and delivering the food personally to my home. The food arrives in double quick time and always hot. An absolute lifesaver when you are not well enough to leave your home. Fratelli in Watford is highly recommended.

We came here for lunch before a trip to The theatre. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and so lovely with our children. The food was amazing, the pasta and pizza tasted so fresh and the portion sizes were excellent. The prices were very reasonable too. We would highly recommend this restaurant and look forwards to going back soon.

Always come here for lunch whenever I'm in Watford town center. Food is amazing, service & vibe are too. Never had a negative experience. Tables are immaculate every time, service is always prompt but never rushed. Menu is perfect, plenty of choice but not fussy. Some restaurants have too many dishes to try and please everyone which leads to waste. Pasta, Pizza, Meat and Fish dishes perfectly cooked! I've tried them all. Would give 6 stars if I could. Thoroughly recommend. PS great lunch deals some weekdays. DO IT!

Our first visit to this wonderful place for early dinner and to catch up with a great friend after 5 years away. The resturant atmosphere is superb, excellent food, top class service....loved everything about it. Will certainly be back and RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE.

We visited Fratellis on a busy Saturday evening following a disappointing experience at another Italian restaurant opposite who kept us waiting for our pre booked table then tried to cram us into a tight space so we decided to leave. The warm welcome and service we received was outstanding. We were a table of 6 including elderly grandparents and teenager. The food was delicious and possibly the best prawn pasta ever. The restaurant was busy and buzzy yet the staff were so attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. First visit to Fratellis as was a fan of previous restaurant Zincos and wasn’t sure how this would compare however was not disappointed

Always is a pleasure to have a meal here. Matters, who is the waiter offcourse, but most of the time the food and service are perfect.

Come here frequently for work lunches. They have a great lunchtime offer. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Never had a bad meal here 😋 Highly recommend the lasagne

Not cheap but very tasty crispy pizza's. A little noisy but that depends who's visiting I suppose. Parking may be a problem for some but Sainsbury's allow free parking for 2 hours. Incidentally we are all vegetarians. Well worth a visit.

The ravioli with spinach and ricotta here is as delicious as the one I ate in Italy on holiday. Pasta al pollo was very tasty and the creamy chicken and mushroom sauce was fantastic. The service is always so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant. Grazie Fratelli

We enjoyed our visit. The food was very tasty. It was a perfect evening to sit outside. I ended up mixing my broccoli with the lasagna. Fun little yummy twist trying to get my veg in for the day. Cheers!

Oh my dear God if I could it would be zero lord bless anyone I pray for you that chooses to give these racist money grabbing volatile people your custom time and money as you will need alot of strength will power to hold back and take the disgusting abuse you get from the Manger son and father boss who brings you down degrading you as a human being controlling your use of costume on what you spend. As I am only a young vulnerable woman with special needs an disabilities who only goes out so often an thought to come here an from the moment i sat down i felt made uncomfortable by the behaviour an attuide from the Manger who I've displayed a pic of has he was madly deeply out of control with his temperament and way of bad costumer service with the way he was using bad language swearing words was aggressive with his manner an approach of speaking which seemed shockingly unbearable which at first made another table of girls shocked in disgust as they weren't happy to let me have a drink without paying for food on top as well which at the time i went for a quiet drink then see how i felt with the atmosphere before ordering anything else but I'm afraid this male individual unbelievably crossed way out of line of his profession Duty towards paying customer i refused to be forced into spending our money on what they wanted and chose so i canceled and refused to take my drink an request a refund and to speak to the manager which he at the time quote as he was but as he was so verbally aggressive at the time i wanted to speak to someone else more karma so eventually another male came across and spoke to me which seemed to be the gentleman's father I the boss of the restaurant he was just as bad but if not worse so i left with my money and integrity and morals and respect I shall not give my money to people that forces me to spend on what they want in a way of blackmailing and verbally abusing me into giving them my custom. take my money gracefully and respect him as a customer or they loose customer business and customers respect I've never gone to anywhere and being sworn at to made feel uncomfortable being abusively controlled in using my money and told I had to buy a particular item to be respected as a customer I can only apologise tothe next people who give them costum keep ur money go else were The wetherspoons is better well mannerd an respect your custom an dont control how amd what you spend your money just happy you give them money and custom

We have eaten here many times before, it wasn't always perfect but food was always decent,and service always ok,but this time food was pretty bad(apart from breaded prawns starter,which was actually very nice). My wife's starter (Goat cheese on toast,which she always orders when we go there) didn't look nothing like before (compare two pictures I attached),toast was soggy,goat cheese wasn't cooked properly (cold inside and not crispy on top),salad underneath looked like it was 3 days old,there wasn't enough dressing and no parmesan,like someone just thrown all ingredients together on the plate.For mains we ordered Fratelli salad (which I usually order there) and beef lasagne (which we never tried there before). Salad came with less ingredients than it use to,egg looked like it was in the fridge from few days ago,there wasn't much tuna in it,and it was pretty small altogether. Lasagne (picture attached) was crispy on the outside,but inside it wasn't hot at all,mince beef didn't look or taste like mince beef,it was tiny portion and seriously I've had better from ready meals section in any supermarket. There was nothing Authentic or Italian about food we were served,we ate most of it because we were hungry,but we left still hungry. We probably won't be going there again for a long time, management might want to look into this as it affects their business,or they can choose to ignore it and let their business go downhill. I forgot to mention it was on Wednesday early afternoon,so the place was absolutely dead,and I'm sure whoever was cooking had enough time to prepare food correctly. Only good part was service and cold beer,can't fault them on this.

They should remove "authentic Italian" from their name. They don't know even know how to spell Italian food names. The menu is full of errors. The recipes are totally wrong. The one in the picture attached should be a "pollo alla valdostana". It couldn't be more wrong. (Google it yourself) If you are selling Italian food and you are not Italian at least have a decency of Google what you are selling. I'm leaving 2 stars because the food was wrong and also badly cooked but the service was decent.

Food was fantastic, probably the best spaghetti bolognese I've eaten in at least 10 years. The service was brilliant and the staff were friendly. The restaurant was busy with a lot of satisfied couples and families. Surprisingly good overall and I will definitely eat there again.

My family, friends & my dogs love this place. The food is always fresh & the staff are super lovely!! It’s casual and dog friendly seating outside under cover. You can park for free for 2hrs in Sainsburys which is a 2 min walk away.

Have ordered from them a few times, some times it's fine but today the pasta was disgusting, inedible. Can't do anything about it on deliveroo.

After leaving for 30 minutes we were not helped. Busy and little attention to customers.
