Had a great experience at Watford Dosa. The food had a very authentic taste and the service was pretty good. Value for money.

Very small place but superb dosa. Went there with a friend today for lunch, he'd not had dosa before, but I have both in this country and in India and I have to say the masala dosa I had was really good with a nice crispness to the edges. Only down side is just one small table outside and 4-5 seats along a counter inside - though if you could take your trays to the seating upstairs, that would be great.

I'm a regular at most dosa places, and hands down this is one of the best I've had in Watford / London. Absolutely fantastic flavours and service. Also next to my gym 😅

We ordered some food today for a small party and the guests couldn’t stop complimenting it! The portions were very generous and the food flavorful- quite a few said it reminded them of the food back in India. Customer service is excellent- would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be ordering again.

i was craving a good dosa so i decided to give this place a visit! i ordered the paneer dosa, which was flavourful and filling! it’s located in the middle of a market food court, not chic/fancy but does the job!

Fantastic vadai and uttapam in a very unpretentious setting. I think they do a lot of business from deliveries, but I'd recommend turning up in person so the food is still hot and crispy.

Watford Dosa serves delicious authentic South Indian dishes made fresh to order. We ate at the one in Watford food market. The service was great and the food even better - thank you! The ghee dosa was delicious and crispy. I highly recommend the cauliflower Manchurian 😋

Delicious and hot south indian vegetarian food - better than any place I have had recently. Very good service for my takeaway. While the area is nice with lots of restaurants and places to sit out and eat, the restaurant front itself is small, like others, and better suited for take away (collection). Lots of vegetarian options, including mock non-veg.

My friend found a great place for late-night snacks. They’re really good with special diets and the service is super nice and caring. I’d definitely recommend it! 💕 We had: Veg noodles 1x idli w/sambar (catered to dietary requirements) 1x idli w/sambar (regular) Manchurian Bonus - all dishes made from scratch!!!

This place is an amazing find for anyone looking for genuince South Indian food made by a South Indian family. The couple at work have the true homely touch for all South Indian food they prepare. I have tried the following dishes so far and will go again. 1. Masala Dosa (Pretty good). 2. Sambhar Vadai (Absolutely 5 star. Pretty much the best in the world that I've had so far). 3. Cauliflower Manchurian. (Spicy! Order when you're sure). 4. Schezchuan fried rice (Spicy! Order when you're sure). There's nearby parking at Sainsbury's huge parking log in the centre of Watford so you can park there and walk down Watford Parade and find Watford Dosa nestled in the units under the bridge. As you enter, Watford dosa will be on your left. It is a super-cozy place so a family of 3-4 can manage to squeeze in or a small table outside can accommodate up to 4 adults. Their main appeal is probably take-away and deliveries but if you want to enjoy South Indian food, you already know you want to have it as soon as it has been prepared. There's also plenty of seating upstairs (Picnic bench type) so you can do a takeaway and eat right upstairs (20 steps up) but you'll be better off having it on the ground floor. Enjoy.

Lovely and delicious Indian food in a small market stall. Watford Dosa isn’t the flashiest place to eat, but the quality and care for the food is fantastic. I had two samosas and a ghee dosa. It was all delicious. The dosa is different than the type I know- there wasn’t potato curry inside, and it wasn’t as crispy, but it was tasty. The owners/chefs are friendly and provide good service. The dine-in section is small, but the market has a lot of outdoor seating as well. The food was quick but not blistering fast, just something to keep in mind. The prices are fair- I paid about £12 and was quite full.

Delicious food!!! I have tried masala dosa, vadai, veg biryani, uttapam which were all amazing, very generous quantity and prices are great too. The owner of this place is also very lovely.

We were 7 people but we didn’t wait long for our table that’s good although customer service was very disappointing the host was rude with pointing fingers to customer tables and food wasn’t hot, feels like microwaved noodles. Honestly we not happy with customer service.

I highly recommend this place, nice atmosphere, friendly staff always there to help, freshly made food nice and tasty plus the food portion are a decent amount filling at least two people. LOVED IT!!

First time here, vegetarian food, great food and price. The kids loved it too. I had Idli and sambar for lunch, it was perfect for the freezing weather! The kids had dosas. Great services and friendly owners. I would definitely recommend.

I was searching for a good vegetarian restaurant, came across Watford dosa. The lady was so welcoming, she gave fresh vada and idli, the food is amazing. The taste is authentic. Loved the food quality and taste. Definitely coming back to this place. The service is excellent.

Great service and tasty south indian food, Staff is very friendly and helpful, Tried dosa, idly, veg uttapam and Manchurian, all were very good in taste and authentic, sambhar, Rasam and chutneys were also delicious. Well located in high street market, it small shop but one can eat in watford market sitting area as well. Love to visit again.

The owner was really helpful and helped us first timers choose well. I can’t wait to return. The Cauliflower Manchurian will be on my next lunchtime order for sure.

First I bought dosa from watford dosa shop. Dosa with sambar and coconut and tomato chutney. It's really good tasty. After long time, I have tasted Tamil Nadu style food. Really good

Very nice food! We had Onion Bajji and Manchurian Cauliflower. Both were very wonderful. The texture was really soft and crispy.

Takes much longer than expected at a market stall— maybe made from scratch? Thankfully it’s all worth the wait. The samosas are huge and come with four pieces — definitely not snack-sizes XD Perfectly crispy with flavorful veggies and softened potato pieces, and a nice kick of spiciness. Dosa is also larger than the picture suggested. Not the crispy thin version but more like a soft bubbly pancake, which is also lovely. I’ve never tried paneer outside curry, so it does appear like a milder version of halloumi to me. Ordered veggie biryani to share with my vegan friend. Beautifully spiced. Recommended but call to order if you are in a hurry.

Indian vegetarian restaurant on Watford High Street serving South indian food and Chinese . Friendly, polite family staff . Dosas were good and crispy as we expected, especially cheese 🧀 dosa. Dosa were a good size and soft. Sambar and chutnies were tasty south Indian and Indochinese selection we order noodles 🍜 with Manchurian it was very delicious 🤤 and Spicy we love it. Overall a good restaurant with Proper Indian Taste 👅

Visited this place for the second time recently. We had good food when we visited for the first time. But unfortunately, this time we had worst experience. We ordered for vada and paddu and waited for at least 15 mins. When we didn’t get our food for 15 mins, we asked again. Found that they had made vadas and had kept but didn’t gave us. As they were cold, we asked for hot vadas. They finally after 5 more minutes gave us the vadas. But now also they didn’t gave us paddu. I am assuming no one took our order seriously. Food is good in taste but I would not go back as this is not the service I would expect. There should be value of time as well

5stars for tasty take away food and very reasonable prices. Had the pooris with potatoe curry (best I've had in London so far), cauliflower Manchurian, paniyaram (this was the first I've tried and was so tasty with the chutneys) and the paneer butter masala (more tomato and onion base than other butter masalas but I preferred it that way). I wish they had sambhar with the sides but otherwise can't fault it. Almost 5star for the food and service

When we think about celebrations, Watford Dosa is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding

The dosa is a delight. The pancake itself is laced with herbs bringing out a subtle flavour that compliments the potato filling, which is fresh and not too oily. The sambar is superb, so fresh with clean flavours and this is flanked by two great chutneys. Leaves me wanting more every time, glad I found this one. Paneer was good and cauliflower bites a nice touch

Wonderful must try.It had excellent homemade and authentic taste. We went to the restraunt at it's closing time but they gave us the food. I have ordered 3 dosas and One portion of idli. Quantity of saber is very less it's seems like it's for only one dosa . whole food is also tasteless and cold . Food ordered @ around 8:30 pm and delivered cold @ 10:30 pm .

Loved our starters of Chilli Paneer and Chilli Idli., very good sized portions for startes. The paneer butter masala was really tasty. Due to the dosa being for home delivery it had gone soggy, so not crisps as one would expect. We are eager to try other dishes as there is so much to choose from. Give this gem of a place a try, prices are reasonable.

I am vegetarian so I ordered twice already and portions are big, the food is healthy and for sure I will order more times in the future. My fav until now is cauliflower manchurian. I will try more dishes without any doubt. You might get lost in the night if you dont know the town like me. They are located at New Watford Market and entrance is below the highway. I had ordered via Uber Eats, and they had incorrectly given a bag with some wrong items. Got in touch with the restaurant, and they apologised and immediately sent one of their staff to deliver the right items within a few minutes of me calling, even left me the wrong items as complimentary. Very good customer service to sort this immediately which is very important to me. Food quality and portion sizes were good, and felt these were freshly cooked and tasty with the right spice levels.

I ordered paneer dosa, rice & idli. My expectations were high and I was very disappointed with it. The paneer dosa was literally plain & the idli were soggy. Not worth the price. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again.
