The best restaurants in Orsett Thurrock East of England

Best Sunday lunch I have had in years!! All food was amazing. Roast beef tender and perfectly cooked. Yorkshire and roasties perfect. Cauliflower cheese best I ever had and veg cooked just enough. Beautifully presented. Had lemon tart which was not on Sunday menu but on specials board for weekdays but luckily I was told I could have it. Gorgeous with raspberry sorbet. Lovely calm atmosphere and staff lovely. Definitely go again when I visit my friend in stanford le hope.

Friendly staff and good food. Affordable too

Only spent a couple of nights for the rooms, didn’t actually eat in the pub (pricey) but the breakfast served in the Ostlers attached was very good with a great variety of options. The ground floor room we had was lovely, very comfortable bed, home made biscuits from the kitchen, beautiful walk in shower. Very clean. Close to family so very handy as they could pick us up and 5 minutes away. Would certainly stay again and the pub and main restaurant, we were told by family who had eaten there, was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely Pub, friendly Staff, delicious food, Great Atmosphere, Dog Friendly, Nothing is too much trouble, If you need help in any way the Staff are happy to help, Lots of Entertainment planned for the year ahead- advertised on Large TV - which also shows sports

Visited here today with 3 friends. The food was lovely and plentiful. The service was good but a tad slow. Friendly and would highly recommend. We will be back.

My friend and I enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Orset Hall last Friday. The sandwiches and cakes were all freshly made, the non stop coffee and tea were a welcome bonus. Although the location and dinningbareawere attractive,

Great staff lovely pub nice people

Ordered via website for delivery, and then waited for around an hour and a half, called them to ask where it is, only to be told they don't deliver and that it wasn't their fault repeatedly. Delivery is an option on the site, so why lie when we came and collected it? Bad customer service, and where the food was left for so long, it wasn't enjoyable. 1 star for very bad customer service. Edit: Business is trying to blame a third party delivery service, even though everything was ordered via their own website. Their FAQ even states they accept cash on delivery so they must deliver. Bad customer service still, not willing to take blame.

This small pub has really turned it around. A few months ago I went in there and the food was inedible and the serving were very small. However I came here recently and it is quite honestly amazing. It is definitely not the food that you’d expect from any pub in Essex. They make awesome food and have a big menu with a new and very nice decoration and very kind staff. Additionally we went there multiple times and the food was constiently good with everything on the menu spot on. Would highly recommend this pub for everyone stopping by.

This is by far our favourite Indian restaurant. We visit here as often as what we can, either just the two of us or with a group of friends. The staff are friendly and attentive. They always make us feel welcome. The food is outstanding and the portions are generous. The free drink at the end of our meal was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We can highly recommend Voujon Orsett, it is well worth a visit.

Staff so incompetent unable to scan bar code on the app second time within two weeks. Make a bar code bigger in the app? Train staff?? Get rid of the app???

This is the second time I’ve been to this venue this year and on both occasions we had a great experience. On this occasion my daughter held her engagement party here and from the planning stage right through to paying the bill, everyone we encountered was amazing. Particular thanks go to Lucia for her on point planning of the event, the chefs for executing such a wonderful menu (the stuffed Yorkshire puddings and fish and chip cones were very good) and Gary and Lucy for their wonderful efficient bar service on the night.

Went for the carvery on Sunday afternoon. Absolutely fantastic. Great food and plenty of it!! Trevor and the team really smashed it out of the park.
