I would like to take the opportunity to thank an exceptional staff at the café, Nikki for her patience in helping me go through a hard time by giving her undivided attention.

Perfect place for meeting friends. Relaxing, friendly atmosphere. Staff fantastic and welcoming.

Serving staff were nice but as for the food was very disappointed, my friend and I both had the Mezze , she had the chicken I had the vegan/vegetarian version , it was described as having mushrooms on a skewer , I had no mushrooms but did have one piece of onion, one piece of courgette, 2 pieces peppers. My friend asked the waitress about it and she came back with 1 mushroom on a separate plate , both these meals are charged at £12 so I think it's appalling that I had no mushrooms and then only one, also my skewer was very small in length compared to the meat version! Obviously this cafe isn't interested in serving up decent food for vegetarians and I will not be going again or recommending it to anyone else. Shame on you Cafe Sartoria

Been here a few times for brunch and lunch. Lovely place. Tastefully decorated. Good delicious food. Found the staff helpful and friendly. If you're in a hurry it's not the place to go this is not a criticism by the way. It's a place to catch up with friends and family and chill. It's a very relaxed atmosphere which I love. Food was lovely; service was poor. Bits of cutlery missing, food orders incorrect, and I almost wore my dinner home as the plate wasn't handed to me properly. A bit of a mixed bag re. staff attitude to serving the public. One young lady really smiley and welcoming, the other not so much. A shame really as the food was delicious.

Met with my family today, there were 6 of us, food was lovely, but the service was quite poor. Soup starters with rolls, no knives to spread the butter, 2 rolls missing and the soups were wrong, plus all served up at different times. Lunch which was x4 roasts and x2 fish meals, I asked specifically if one roast had just carrots plus another portion of carrots, it came with everything on the plate, no additional carrots. The waitress said she will be back with them, but that never happened. I had to go and find someone for the condiments as we weren't offered any. No knives issued prior to meal, we had to wait until after all food was served. The girls who took our order were lovely and polite but it's like they had no idea how waitressing worked. I really do not like giving poor reviews but I couldn't give them a good one based on my observations. A real shame as the food was really good.

This cafe is nice and cosy to visit with a friendly atmosphere. Staff seemed friendly, and the decor was clean and seemed quite stylish and new. Lots of tasty choices. Felt relaxed and will definitely be returning soon.

Lots of reviews saying this place is quiet… there is a reason for that! I Sat at the counter for a full 5 minutes and was totally ignored by not one but two members of staff, not even a quick smile or polite welcome. Unadventurous and preposterously priced menu… sausage roll £5 let me say that again, FIVE POUNDS for a sausage roll!! Coffee was bitter and burned. #avoid.

Had to wait 40 mins for food, baguettes... not overly busy. Food nice would go again but only if got plenty of time.

Lovely cafe, we enjoy the relaxed surroundings and selection of food and drinks. Perfect for a catch up with family and friends over lunch or tea and cake. Friendly and helpful staff too.

We needed a quick lunch and popped into the Sartoria. As it was near Christmas we expected it to be heaving with customers. In fact it was nice and quite. We ordered scampi and chips sat in comfy chairs and awaited our order. It arrived hot, plenty of it and delicious. Staff were very helpful and smiling. Would definitely come again.

The Café is in beautiful surroundings, but stuck away at the back with no decent views and lacks character.

We had a coffee and a beer shandy. Very expensive, almost £9. Coffee was ok. Pleasant atmosphere. Unlikely to visit again at this was comparable with city price.

Had a good fish finger sandwich which was tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tables were cleared quickly as people left. Seemed strange seeing lots of people in dressing gowns they were using the Spa that was on the floor below.

My favourite coffee shop in the area! I come her for coffee, breakfast, lunch, to meet friends, family or just chill out on my own! The staff are friendly and efficient, the decor is lovely and it really is a great place to relax and spend time out enjoying good coffee and food!

Pleasant surroundings. Reasonable selection of food a bit on the pricey side. Been there twice with friends, once just for coffee and a chat, staff don't hassle you to buy food if you don't want it. Second time had food, nice and fresh but was told the wrong soup of the day, still tasty though. Will definitely be going back at some point. Nice place to meet up with friends for a coffee rather than Lakeside all the time.

Waited 15 minutes for 2 lattes not enough staff. Shame! Very nice coffee when it came.

Very nice surroundings with seating at either tables or on sofas and armchairs, which were very comfortable. Although we only had a drink the menu looked good offering a selection of breakfasts, snacks and light lunches with a small children's menu. The staff were very polite and friendly. Would like to go back and eat next time.

Brilliant place for a nice drink

Big warning if you are thinking of eating here. My family and I ate dinner here the day before my sister in-laws wedding, and half the food came out still partially frozen. The onion rings were literally still a frozen block of ice and the chips were half raw. There is clearly some serious quality control issues in this kitchen sending out uncooked food. This place is a breeding ground for food poisoning which would have been disastrous before a big wedding. The staff were good at managing the situation but sending out food that is not cooked is awful.
