We visited on Saturday evening and pre booked. The restaurant is lovely inside, and the menu has lots of choices, and as a vegetarian, I was spoilt. The service was excellent and food was first class. We would definitely recommend and return. The lady was very good when we went to leave a tip and she pointed out its a 12.5 % service charge.

We booked the upstairs room for a birthday party. We had the fixed 4 course menu. This was excellent and suited all dietary needs. The service was excellent and the food really good and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this venue.

The food is 4* or more however a family dinner at a restaurant needs more than the food On Friday evening the Maitre D' was in a very obvious sour mood, his manner towards staff and ourselves as customers was abrupt, a bit intimidating and almost discourteous. I had suggested The Shish as our venue because it has good reviews. Really disappointed by the bullying tone of the maitre d'. I felt embarassed by the atmosphere that this created for our family visitors. A large non-itemized bill was presented at the end of the meal. The maitre d' seemed very put out when I requested an itemized bill. More than £20.00 had been 'automatically' added in service charges! The young lad who was serving was polite and helpful, but this was completely clouded by his line manager's impatient and hectoring stance towards his team and our family- his customers. Upsetting, and we won't be coming back.

The Masala Bowl team were amazing as I hosted my Xmas party . They allocated me the whole top floor of the restaurant. The food, cocktails were sublime and we loved Sanjay's DJ grooves. A gem of a restaurant. Absolutely amazing food, so fresh tasty full of flavour, freshly cooked. Staff very attentive and accommodating. The best tasting Thai meal I have had in my travels.

From the outside it looks a quiet old pub ,But go in at it totally changes to a Busy friendly cosy place to be !! Went in Saturday night for a few drinks and was blown away how busy it was with a good mix of all ages ,then Sunday night for food and wasn't disappointed the Sunday evening lunch was Amazing and 1 of the best I've ever had !! Definitely go back if staying in the area again !!

We are from the USA and are visiting family for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we went to the pub. It had a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Arun, the owner, provided excellent service.
