Simply amazing . As a Turk and kebab lover I can easily say the best kebab around London . Friendly staff , very clean premises and reasonable prices . What else can you ask for ! Keep it up boys !

As soon as i entered the shop, I was welcomed with love and kindness, i had a lovely interaction with the workers, and the food was very delicious.

I always rave about this place. I love there food. Their chips are the best you can get. Always fresh and super crispy (probably terrible for your health). Unfortunately we had a takeaway last night and it was really salty. Hopefully it's just a blip! Staff are always helpful and friendly. I like watching them cook over the BBQ through the window.

This gem of a kebab shop is an absolute delight, and seems to be better than itself every passing year. Tender and delicious lamb and chicken, a custom home made chili sauce, carefully tended glowing charcoals, producing the most exquisite kebabs and grills. The staff are cool, and exceedingly skilled, this place must surely be the very best kebab house and grill for many miles around.

Love this Turkish Takeaway. We generally tend to order the set menus which are great value - the meat is tender, good quality and cooked to perfection on the barbecue. The donor meat is good too (especially the chicken). We always look forward to ordering from here.

Love visiting Mangals with Rickmansworth Cricket Club. They always look after us, with our large orders never being a let down. All the food is freshly prepared in front of you, and tastes great.

Pretty decent food. But the staff attitude is bad. If you go and buy a big order, they are cool. But if you go and order just a portion of chips they will start talking between themselves, not sure what they were saying but for sure they were saying that either I don’t have money or people don’t have money. The guy barely listened to me that I want some sauces. Well I hope you guys will do good, but we are not coming to your place again.

Last night my husband got food poisoning from this place - he was up all night with vomiting and suffering with diarrhea! Not recommended to go here and I will never purchase from them again. I have ordered take away a few times and I have noticed a steady deterioration in the quality of their food and portion sizes. Rice is lumpy and all the meat tastes the same. Would.give them zero stars if I could! Update: The owners incorrectly state it takes 24h for food poisoning but it can take a min of 6h.

£10.99 for a small tasteless kebab!? This is probably the worst tasteless kebab I have ever had in my life. I feel sorry for the people of Rickmansworth! The place was full of travellers which sums up this place.

Ordered food charge me a lot of money, opened the bag , very small portion, no bred, no spoons, no tissues, call them and the answer in verse funny English that they give us salads, and you should ask for bred and everything else, will never use the again. Very rude

such nice people, always working hard and making sure you get the best experience. their customer service was amazing such a sweet family run vibe in there. and in terms of food i’m never disappointed!! portion sizes are always bang on never any leftovers. i always go for a chicken shish- it comes on pitta bread- and chips with salad on side the sauce that gets left on the pitta is amazing and the chicken is always so soft and tender. highly recommend as a great takeaways spot!!

This is my 10 year review. If you look, I did the first review on this establishment on trip advisor. I've been coming here regularly ever since. Quality and freshness is unsurpassed, still cooked on charcoal, and the menu hasn't deviated - except for the price. This is where I'm somewhat disappointed. The prices have skyrocketed- and portions smaller. The set meal 'A' used to be £12.50, but is now £30. I understand that inflation is affecting everyone, but the value proposition is somewhat diminished when portion sizes go down along side the price hikes. I'll still be coming here, but perhaps less often.

I saw the doner kebab from afar and wanted to try it because I realized it was real doner. It wasn't one of those frozen doner kebabs like in central London. We immediately started chatting with Alparslan and he wanted to buy me one, I tried it and I gave everyone around me a bite and everyone wanted to eat. As a Turk I can say this is the best doner kebab I've had in the UK. Thank you Alparslan and well done 💫

Bad experience, very rude Bought 3 wraps and they handle the food with bare hands, the guy was sticking his fingers in the wrap when making it, I asked them why they don't wear gloves, the answer was "my friend, we never wear gloves, people have allergies at latex", seriously? On top of all this, £34 for 3 takeaway wraps with 4 cubes of chicken and a bit of salad, this place is a joke! Never again

Great turkish food. I advise you to order the mixed grill. The chicken shish melts in your mouth and compliments the garlic sauce very well. The only two bits to improve on for me: Service - this can be improved and staff can be more friendly, I appreciate they are busy but good customer service should always be maintained l. Seating area - I would really like it if they had space to sit down and eat they only have 4 pop up chairs. Owner please look for more seating arrangements.

Came here as the Mangal I usually go to closed early for some reason. Prices are extortionate for what you’re getting and food is below average at best and horrendous at worst. No flavour whatsoever and extremely bland. Cant believe I just got charged around £12 for food which majority of went into the bin. If you’re going to charge extortionate prices, atleast make an effort to make the food you cook delicious and fresh to eat. My meal felt as though it was reheated. Just hoping to god I don’t get food poisoning as I have read a similar review with the same outcome. I would definitely avoid this place and would not recommend. And yes I do have the correct Mangal so please do not insult me by responding with that.

I don’t know why this place inspires so much loyalty, it had a 1 star out of 5 hygiene rating until recently and every time i’ve eaten here (three times in the last two years) it’s made me unwell. They can’t get an order correct when made over the phone and what kind of kebab shop doesn’t do cheesy chips. Also, 12.99 for a chicken wrap that gave me food poisoning? What are your prices 🤡🤡🤡🤡 Edit: of course you act like i’ve gone to the ‘wrong’ mangal, i live on the road your shops on, i’m reviewing the right shop.

Originally from the London borough of haringey aka the home of Turkish food outside of Turkey. For this reason I consider my standards to be super high when it comes to Turkish cuisine. No word of a lie this may just be the best I’ve had. Prices are good too. Their mixed grill is £49.99. In London you’re paying about £65 at Kervan or gokyuzu. If you’re local to Rickmansworth, it’s a must! The complimentary chicken wings were the star of the show. Banging chilli sauce too

I travel up and down the country all year for work. My go-to dinner if I can't make it home is a kebab. I can't describe how good the mixed grill was here. I didn't even use any of my garlic mayo or chilli sauce as I didn't want to mask any of the flavours. Its a 3 hour round trip from home to Mangal Express, and I intend on making the trip specifically just to get another mixed grill. BEST KEBAB EVER!!!

Had my first mixed kebab here, and it blew me away. They do PROPER lamb donner from pieces of meat and not the minced cheap stuff you get at other places. Everything seemed high quality, the meat was super tasty, the chilli sauce was really nice and rich with herbs, even the Pita bread tasted like real bread toasted on charcoal and not cardboard. You can pay by card which again is a plus. I paid £12.99 for a large mixed donner and a drink, which is obviously expensive BUT if you want a treat or something delicious… I would say try this place out. I properly cleaned the takeaway box, nothing left. Highly recommended!

I took my wife to this spot for lunch today and we were delighted to have such lovely food and fabulous service. All the ingredients were very fresh and of the highest quality. The portions were perfect. We were served by one of the owners who is a remarkable man and he provided the highest level of hospitality that I have ever had in ol blighty. We will definitely be returning and can't say enough good things about our experience at this place and the delicious food we thoroughly enjoyed.

Their main grill was broken when I visited this place, workman where their trying to fix it so wasn't able to get what I went in for.

So I had mixed grill today, considering that the portion price is £12.99, I expected better. The whole point of buying mixed grill is to get as much meat variety as possible. It was clearly advertised that you will get quiet few different types of meat plus pita bread and salad. What made me quiet furious was that instead of them filling the take away container fully with meat, the have filled half of the container with rice then also with extra big pieces of vegetables. So in the end instead of a full container of mixed grill I received not even half of the meat in the container. I have never asked for rice and nor was it advertised same goes for the big pieces of veg. I just hate when these doggy restaurant owners think that we are too stupid to notice. My advice to anyone is: Find please where they will look after you well. NOT THIS ONE!
