Maurizio's in Three Rivers

Sunday lunch at Maurizios . My first visit. A starter pizza was excellent, the side salad too. The pastas portions were generous but very average. Given a pack of spaghetti and a bottle of sauce, I am sure I could have done just as well The atmosphere was spoilt by very shouty diners close by making it almost impossible to speak. We did not stay long and were glad when we had finished our meal and could escape the din. The inconsiderate behavior of customers is not the fault of the restaurant, but they should try to keep a lid on such bad behavior and seat larger parties at the far end of the restaurant leaving small groups to enjoy their meal in peace. I will return one day for their pizzas and salads .

This family run restaurant has been here for many years and is still as good as ever. Nothing pretentious, just very good tasty food at sensible prices. Easy parking in the carpark at the rear. I didn't take any photos as I was too busy eating!

Every time I come to visit our family there must always be a visit to Maurizio’s. As always warmly welcomed. Tonight we were blessed with Maurizio, Christian and Mahida, top service. Food is delicious and portions very generous. Another great night. Missed you Alessia.

Food was good, price a little bit high

Atmosphere ok Food Bland and tasteless, no matter how much seasoning I put on, still had no flavour. Pasta was hard. Service let's it down more,the white and indian waitress that served us today, extremely rude, lack any Costomer Service. Definitely not worth 19% Service charge and the 1 srar rating. Do not rate. Will not go again.

First time at this restaurant. We were seated upstairs. It was nice and breezy with windows open. The downstairs has more tables and is warmer due to double doors. Main dishes were priced £12-15 with starters at £6 approx. Liked the portions which are generous. Food was simple, hearty Italian. Will come back again.

Love having dinner at this place, large proportions and reasonable priced.

Upon our arrival at the restaurant, it was noticeably bustling. Nevertheless, we received a warm greeting. For starters, we shared calamari and garlic bread. My son opted for pizza while I enjoyed the tagliatelle, which was wonderful. The serving size of my dish was quite generous, as evident from the photo.

We were a massive group and booked a private table upstairs. We got first class service from the young man attending us. The food was simply point on. Considering we were such a big group and everyone had different tastes etc not one person was disappointed! Simply the best Italian I have had in ages! Looking forward to going again.

I walked in for lunch on a saturday and was greeted politefully and promptly by the friendly staff. The restaurant is informal but polished and well-kept. I ordered the pasta carbonara with pancetta, the vitello milanese with spaghetti pomodoro, and homemade tiramisu, all of which were exquisitely tasty. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Maurizio’s is the best Italian in Rickmansworth. A vast menu that extends through the paper menu and have many specials and are always happy to accommodate any request. All meat and fish are fresh and delicious. Pastas are amazing and the chicken Milanese has been my most ordered dish over my 20 years of visiting. Alessia and Maurizio are extremely friendly and are the reason I have come back often over the last 20 years…without fail. Best Italian food around, great wine selection and desserts. Will not disappoint!! An institution of Rickmansworth and have sent many of my friends and family to this place.

A very good place for your favourite Italian food, desert & wine. Pleasent staff give good service in an agreeable Italianate decor. Just go there to find out for yourself.

Great pizzas and really nice food

The pizzas are above average but the staff is rude and racist! They have an ethnicity bias! They will serve you but if you ain’t British or Italian they have a bad attitude and won’t even smile while talking. Just an angry expression! Not going here again!!

7 of us. We didn't book but we still had a delightful welcome to Maurizios. They did needed the table back within a ceratin time and we were well served and they were very proffessional.We didn't feel rushed. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. You won't be dissappointed!

Ate here on 4th March 2023. Place is buzzy and has a nice ambience. Service staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't as good as we were expecting based on other reviews. Our starters were good but two of our party had the calves liver as their main. This was off the specials board. It wasn't very good. It came as chunks of liver in a watery onion gravy. We ate it and paid for it. but we didn't enjoy it. We mentioned it to the staff but didn't really get a reaction. We wouldn't have the liver again. My wife ate cannelloni and wasn't wild about that either. If we go again we'll stick to pizza and pasta. In our experience this is a fun place but the food we had was more 3 stars than 5 stars.

Great pizza, great pasta and love the calamari. Service is always pleasant and your treated more like family than just a customer. The owner and head chef even comes out to make sure you’ve enjoyed everything and food is up to satisfaction. Highly recommend if in the area. Oh and don’t forget to try the tiramisu

I am always sceptical on reviews for Italian restaurants, even when rated highly, but on this occasion this place lived up to its mark. This was like a reminder for me of the days in the past, of home made food, when visiting family in Sicily. The seafood linguine, ravioli and breaded veal were large in portion size too, all rounded off with homemade tiramisu and amaretto ice cream. All in all an enjoyable meal with good friendly service from Alessia and Christian.

Not been here before, just wanted somewhere different for lunch while in Rickmansworth and we found this lovely Italian. Greater warmly by Silvio who gave wonderful service throughout our lunch. The menu was varied including specials. Our food was amazing and plentiful. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

We popped in here for dinner having not booked in advance, and had a really warm welcome. The food was delicious, one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. Very generous portion sizes so it was good value for money. I'll definitely go back and would highly recommend!

Walk in. There’s one family eating. All tables are empty. It’s fully booked they said. Went to eat elsewhere and walked back and saw it was still empty an hour later. Good luck to them. I won’t be trying again.

This was a really significant evening. Took my Mum out to treat her this evening, it has been a hard year for our Family so this was quite an important evening for me. Firstly you simply cannot rate polite,kind,informative staff highly enough. The red wine (something I'm reasonably versed in thanks to an Uncle who lived on vineyards) was lovely. Great starter, a good main course and for dessert a homemade tiramisu which was tasty. What you pay for you get. I Highly recommend this place for something that counts.

I read the good reviews and travelled from N. London to meet a friend who lives in the area. The food was great (didn't try the wine as driving 😕) and the staff were wonderful - there when you need something but not pestering. 5* experience at 4* prices. Highly recommended and will be going back again.

This is the best Italian restaurant in rickmanworth I have been going to this restaurant for the past 4 an half year, staff are fantastic they treat you like family and the food is amazing.

Family run restaurant with amazing food and amazing bigger hearts. They have been part of the community for so long and feeding generations of families in the local area. As well as raising money to support the local community. Short summary Atmosphere - welcoming and homely environment. Staff and management - super friendly and helpful. Kid friendly - yes and most dishes come in small sizes. Menu and range selection - large selection of delicious classics authentic Italian dishes with the fleshly homemade touch with amazingly fresh ingredients. Recommend to friends and family - yes Cleanliness - yes Note - book in advance a very popular place with locals. Portion sizes are very big and if you can’t finish them you can take it away.

Had some takeaway pizza at the new hair salon across the street from Maurizio and it was absolutely beautiful. Thin crust. Flavourful. Authentic. Yummy.

Foods nice, local family run business so good atmosphere but the accoustics in this place are some of the worst I've ever experienced. You could be sat a foot away from someone on a half busy Tues and not be able to hear them talk. I don't know what it is but it's impossible to converse without shouting.
