Absolutely brilliant pub with great food and superb service. Sid looked after us all night and we will be back soon.

Had an amazing dinner at white bear today .Really loved the chicken momos and tandoori chicken Naan was super soft and yummy .In addition also brought papadom and WB special fried rice which also tasted good. Evening times are really busy, better to book table before you go and limited parking space inside the restaurant area.

Delicious curry. Easy to navigate website. Prompt delivery of hot food at the time requested.

I went here on a Sunday evening for a few drinks and a meal,they have a great menu serving a great choice of Asian and English dish at great prices,I had fish and chips which was very good and al the dishes I saw being served looked very good which explained why it was very busy and the service was very good.

Put gluten containing food on the plate when it had been made quite clear gluten free was required. This pub has always been rubbish, going back decades. Won't ever return.

I was one of a group of over 30 (arriving in smaller groups ) who are doing a charity walk along the Grand Union canal. We all decided, independently, to eat at the White Bear last night. We ALL had fantastic meals, served by calm and efficient staff. One of the most authentic meals I have had Simply superb Thank you to all involved at the pub

Great restaurant. From the looks it feels like a tranditional pub, the food served is indian style. We have been there a couple of evenings while staying in town for some refrshing beers/ciders and delicious meels. Service was great and pricses far below what we have expected. All in all a perfect location.

Had the most amazing food delivered to my home. The customer service is amazing with the manager calling me to make sure I was happy with the food. Will definitely use again.

Just had beer. Not an amazing selection of drinks but the food smells good. Will come back for food but really hope they get some different Ale and also craft beer to try

Had a take away last night which was disappointing to say the least . Nothing special for the price and way too much salt , not convinced the lamb curry was lamb at all tasted more like beef also asked for poppadoms which never materialised . It's left me with terrible flatulence which my wife is not at all happy about and going swimming with my daughter was concerning . The takeaway experience is not nearly as good as eating in .

Great Indian menu at sensible prices with a few English pub dishes as well. Not a massive Pub vibe at least not on a quiet night in the week.

TBH we ordered spicy dishes, and they were really, but the following morning was nightmare 😫 can't complain... a bit high on salt though. Great place, lots of parking, easy to reach , very friendly staff

This is not your usual Bangladeshi curry house swimming in oil and full of sugar. This is stunning food with a varied, original menu. Best curry for miles around. Always great food and great service. Top tip - get a load of starters to share with others, and maybe just a couple of mains.

Absolutely fantastic food!!!!! But it was very expensive for how many was eating. If your not feeling the pinch, definitely try it out 💯

Service is 5* when they are not so busy

Food was as good as we remembered. Service was a bit hit and miss and needs improving. Didn’t detract too much from our enjoyment of the evening.

Tastey authentic curries and Good size portions makes it excellent value. Good service. Prices of beer are reasonable too. 05/12/23 update - Kebabs have too much red colouring and not enough of the kebab authentic taste. Achari Lamb had a lovely sauce but felt as the coriander and cumin powder if allowed to cook more would make this good dish very very good. The peppered potatoes were good. The chicken wings were good.

The white bear has been my go-to pub in Rickmansworth for a number of years now, not only for the atmosphere and top beer selection, their food is genuinely above and beyond. The head chef is extremely talented, if you’re a fan of authentic nepalese food trust me you will love this place. The staff are all extremely friendly and can’t do enough for you. Look no further for authentic Nepalese food with a classic pub feel.

The manager and the server seejan were very kind and took care of us very nicely. Would recommend highly this place.

Had the mixed grill, butter chicken and rogan josh. Mixy was average, butter chicken was nice and lamb rogan josh was average.

Really tasty food. I'm not a big Indian food person but this one was really good and prices are quite reasonable too

Did my birthday here - table was for almost 20 people. Food was decent with good portion sizes, and the best thing was they kept everyone on separate bills and you could pay at the time of order so with a group of this size, there was no need to worry about working out the bill at the end. Paneer chilli was a bit disappointing but the bhajiya was really nice, as was the masala mogo.

Good Indian food in a pub atmosphere

Friendly staff and lovely Nepalese curry dishes. Prices about average. Plenty of tables away from the main bar area so you can be more secluded and have more of a restaurant feel. I don't recall how flat the entry from car park is but it didn't have steps. Disabled bay right outside pub entrance from car park.

Brilliant. Bar staff really friendly and went to the trouble to make sure that barrels where changed when the beer we wanted was finished. Food was amazing, recommend the sizzler. Definitely the best in the area

Popular pub with a decent Nepalese menu.

Probably one of the best Indian I've had in years cooked to perfection. Lot's of flavours not spicey as i asked for mild dishes but if your in that area and want a great meal definitely worth a visit. Friendly staff it wasn't busy as it was a Tuesday night.

Food nice. Atmosphere good. But expensive and toilets too small and have been dirty on my last 2 visits - probably because they were busy, but they should check them more often - a lot of water over floor (hopefully blown there from the hand drier), bin full, plastic 'glasses' in cubicle, no toilet paper.

Absolutely hands down the best curry I've had 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 just a shame I live a a hundred and fifty miles away 😭 but definitely visit you again if we come back down with work 🙏

Excellent food and friendly service

Excellent service for our congregation of 20+ having buffet Indian food. Food is pretty good and plentiful. It wont eclipse your fave Indian if you are a lover of Indian food but its very palatable. Just 2 waiters kept us hydrated very efficiently.

We only had a drink but nice to be able to sit outside by the water.

Best Indian takeaway around. May be a little pricier than other restaurants but you can tell the quality of the meat and produce is much better and worth every penny.

Nice friendly staff, while we were eating they were very attentive, asking if we needed more drinks etc.. On first view of the menu I thought a little pricey but the food portions were huge (I had Shish/seekh kebab) took half home with me.

First time here and we were really impressed. A great menu with some unusual options and a lot of variety. The portion sizes were very generous and everything we ordered tasted great. They also had Mogo which you usually only find in authentic Indian cuisine.

Wow! Is all we can say about this place. Food was so tasty. And portion sizes were huge. Staff were so friendly and accomated us so professionally. I recommend the Lal Mas for the spice lovers. And the Rogan Josh for the mild lovers. We will be back!
