Rustic historic pub, very friendly service, great food at reasonable prices. All four of a party of four left happy. A serendipitous find for us day trippers.

Great lunch, really nice sandwich’s and the staff were all very friendly

The taste was great. The only problem was that there were two real ales only.

The best pub for atmosphere and place to relax for Easter .Bookings needed but has outside and covered area if u would like something to eat .

What a great place for a party. All our guests commented on how nice the venue was and the food went down a treat. Thanks especially to the young lady taking drinks orders. Such a nice happy person who was appreciated by all our guests. We would recommend The Feathers to anyone needing somewhere for an event.

We were having a lovely lunch - food was great, waitress very helpful and on point. It wasn’t until we were patiently waiting for our waitress to come back so we could ask for my daughters ice cream for her kids meal deal that the mood suddenly changed. The manager walked past and said ‘oh, are you staying for dinner?’ - looking at us as if we had overstayed our welcome. Our table was booked for another sitting in 1.5 hours time, and the rest of the restaurant was empty. We still hadn’t had our plates cleared and were keen to order another round of drinks. Oh, AND WE WERE STILL WAITING FOR THE REST OF OUR ORDER. Needless to say, we got the ice cream to go. Asked for our bill. Left no tip. And walked out. Not sure we will be going back. Oh, and there are no baby change facilities. Just a dirty bathroom floor.

Great both inside and out, good job the do table service when busy. Good food too!

Had our second Christmas office lunch here today. Wonderful service, value and the food was amazing. Only fault was there was too much. Great place and atmosphere all year round.

Would highly recommend the fish and chips - the doombar batter on the fish was exceptional. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Feathers Saturday early evening, food was delicious and staff attentive. Loved the music mix that was playing. Thanks so much to the manager who kindly called us a cab. Will definitely be back.

Went for lunch with work and honestly the moment you stepped in your greeting kindly and friendly and ask you where you’re sitting we said we wanted to go in the garden and they said what drinks do you want? We bring them out to you and then bought a menu out. The service was on point garden was lovely and entire day and the food was amazing and highly recommend the Pinot.lol

Spent a wonderful afternoon in the Feathers. Roast dinner was 10/10 and fantastic service from Victoria and the team!

I want to thank The Feathers for helping me throw a surprise 70th birthday for my mum last Saturday. I had the most amazing experience. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the night special. We hired out the wing which is beautifully decorated, cosy and was everything you could ask for in a birthday venue. The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect. Mum was absolutely over the moon, and so were all our guests. They have been talking non stop since about how amazing the night was. Thankyou again, I can't wait for the next event.

I have had many an enjoyable meal here with friends, family, and as a couple. On this occasion, I had the burger, and it was good, i think their mains and roasts pip it. The portion sizes are generous, so try and leave room for the scrumptious desserts. The service is unfalteringly good. Lovely, cosy pub that has an old feel to it and a great atmosphere. We always enjoy coming here.

First visit for Sunday Roast, most definitely won’t be our last. We live in Weybridge and our friends in Harpenden so looked for somewhere equal distance and The Feathers won. Service is exceptional, food is amazing, we loved it 😊

Fantastic Sunday roast. We've been to a few places over the last 6 months but this was by far the best. Quality and quantity and great window table.

Disappointing burger. Dry bun, overcooked burger. Staff were fine and atmosphere was ok

The place is a little dark for my liking, but the food is top notch. My main issue is that I could only pick one item from the menu. There were a lot of things that I wanted to try.

Another great meal at The Feathers, with some brilliant new dishes on the menu, the pork & prunes were excellent, as was the chicken curry.. As always, the entire team was friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning soon to try some of the other new menu items.

This a very good pub and restaurant that serves a great range of food and drinks at reasonable prices and the service is very good with plenty of staff,there is very good relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating both outside and inside,the amazing old building is very historic,there is some free car parking nearby or it's about a 15 minutes walk to the train station.

I have been to the Feathers for xmas dinner for so many years, but sadly, this year, the service was not that great. Food still fantastic!!

There’s far too many positive words to describe the whole entire experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you say goodbye at the Feathers! Amazing menu, that caters for everybody… the service is 10/10 every time, staff are such wonderful people. Will continue to be my favorite place for even more years to come! A true credit to Rickmansworth!

The best pub in Rickmansworth and beyond! I couldn’t recommend it enough! Service, food, atmosphere the list goes on…. An amazing experience every time! The Feathers is a credit to the local area! We turned up without booking but received lovely welcoming and great table service. Food was delicious and beautifully served, my daughter was happy with her cauliflower cheese as a side ( we had Sunday roast). Veggie roast is really tasty, burger too, so well done to Chefs! Welcoming atmosphere, thanks to Sandra, Ted and Victoria 👏 as well as rest of the team at The Feathers.

Booked a meal here as a group of 9 in the evening. Food arrived together perfectly cooked, and despite being busy table service was excellent getting us drinks. There is a free car park behind the pub. Highly recommend.

From the outside it looks a quiet old pub ,But go in at it totally changes to a Busy friendly cosy place to be !! Went in Saturday night for a few drinks and was blown away how busy it was with a good mix of all ages ,then Sunday night for food and wasn't disappointed the Sunday evening lunch was Amazing and 1 of the best I've ever had !! Definitely go back if staying in the area again !!

Really lovely evening. We were a large party and the pre event email exchanges were efficient, friendly and helpful. On the night, the service was excellent - (Lily was a superstar with our orders!) and food was lovely. Great restaurant/pub - highly recommend.

Everything was excellent. Couldn't believe how busy is was for a Wednesday night. Sat in one of the outside pods which was lovely. Service was fabulous, food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent.

Last weekend 21 of us celebrated a 70th birthday in the wing. From booking to setting up on the day was very well organised. Victoria had everything was set up for when we arrived, The room looked lovely when it was all dressed. Ted who was our server did an amazing job looking after us throughout the afternoon. The food was delicious!! Thank you to Victoria and all the Feathers team for making my mums surprise party fabulous.

An excellent lunch in a traditional pub

Arrived at 12:30 for our booking at 1 being at pub we thought we could turn up for a drink before hand the manger on was quite abrupt and said table service only we were shown to a table that was bar stools which we was not told before hand as the table wasn’t appropriate for us as we had someone with a disability with us so they showed us to a table and was told we had to be out by 2pm service was good and at a normal pace. We had been offered dessert and the manager came over to remind us we had to be out by 2pm so we then couldn’t have a dessert which was something we all wanted but couldn’t have I understand Sundays are a busy day for a pub but I personally wouldn’t recommend it as it felt rushed as soon as we got there we had to be out I WILL NOT BE BACK!!

Table booked for 13:00. Arrived at 12:30 for a drink prior to eating. Told table service only so was seated at our table so I could have a drink. Instantly informed we had to be out by 14:00 as table was booked for next customers. I thought this was very rude. If we had had a starter, main and desert this wouldn’t have been enough time. Only had a main and at a casual speed and we were reminded that we had until 14:00 again. Food was nice, serving staff were nice. I WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGIAN and I will not recommend.

Depends what you want, it's not a pub but a restaurant with a bar that serves drinks. Hardly anywhere to sit if you do just want a drink.

It's not around the corner, we have to travel here, yet we keep coming back, a couple of times per year. In brief, that says enough. We always enjoy the meals at the feathers.

Charismatic pub, and lovely atmosphere. Only downside was a long wait after asking for the bill twice, we seemed to have been forgotten. But otherwise a lovely place.

Had a lovely roast dinner as always with all the sides shared between 2 (Pigs in Blankets, Creamed Leeks (v) & Cauliflower Cheese (v) ). The creamed leeks are my favourite. I had the sticky toffee waffles for dessert, which were AMAZING! The time before this I had the Nutella Gnocchi (Mini Nutella filled doughnuts), which was probably one of the nicest desserts I have ever eaten 😋 It's very dog friendly here 🐾. If it's a bit cold outside but still want to sit outdoors, they have areas undercover and blankets available. They also have a separate area available for hire for private gatherings. Highly recommend this pub 😁

Family birthday celebration. Children in party, noted on booking, booked to eat outside non smoking area, table we were given was a higher table, not suitable for young children due to height and high benches. Uncomfortable for adults too. Reserved table was really dirty when we were shown to it, gravy puddles, spilt drinks, sticky lumps and bits of veg, tables need to be cleaned before customers seated! Busy day, service friendly but slow and didn't follow up whether food was okay once we'd been served. Food was very very disappointing, sea bass and burger fine but not outstanding, roast beef awful, beef like shoe leather over cooked and tough, roast potatoes hard, broccoli almost raw, horseradish sauce weirdly sweet. Manager took one roast beef off the bill after I raised the issue, he did offer alternative but the rest of party had finished eating by then- no one had come to check whether food was okay before then. Kids roasts were huge on small plates so difficult for children to eat without food falling off plates, need bigger plates for the portions served! Sadly disappointing. I don't think we'd go for Sunday lunch there again, but went for midweek lunch recently and food was great. Consistency required!

Massively popular pub, packed out and "buzzing" on a Saturday night. Enormous beer garden and a great hireable room and private bar for those special functions. The staff went to great lengths to make it a memorable evening.

Excellent burgers, great beer garden with fantastic table service. Be wise to reserve a table for larger groups, especially if the weather isn't to good as not all the outdoor seating is covered.

A great pub with a large sunny outside, friendly staff but the food was mixed. Sunday toast was great but the cod and chips were terrible, possibly the worst I’ve ever had in a pub. The fish was small and severely over cooked and the chips undercooked and tasteless. Should have sent it back.

We've had lunch here several times. Always had good quality food,well prepared and friendly service. All nice and clean too. Nice large outdoor seating area at the back too.

Lovely old pub, well presented outdoor area with plenty of attention to details, like sheepskin to sit on. Most of the food was delicious, but the roast lamb was a over cooked, and not juicy, but the king pawns, cod and deserts were excellent.

Heard so much about the place so booked to visit. Those with dogs they are allowed only in bar area or outside. Average decor. Pretty crowded might be the sunshine. The lady who served us was amazing and we added tip hence. Panko squid starter was one to try and pie was told was good. Rest all dishes were extremely average.

Unexpectedly nice food with big portions and a nice atmosphere. Great garden which was not too loud.

We had our first date at The Feathers, so it only seemed right to have our engagement party in the private barn (The Wing) with all our friends and family. We hired in a private DJ for the evening and had the most incredible night full of food and drink with the Feather's team running the outside bar and being on hand for whatever we needed. We were able to get in early to set up (balloon arches and decorations galore) and we were so lucky to have been able to celebrate with our nearest and dearest in a place that meant an awful lot to us as a couple. A big thanks to Victoria and the team - you guys are ace.

Very nice pub in Rickmansworth. It was a lovely day so we st in the huge beer garden which was beautiful. Seating areas had been thought of for for smokers non smokers dog owners sun worshippers and those wanting a bit of shade. No running in and out of the pub to place orders or order drinks. The Feathers gives full table service. The staff were all efficient and pleasant and the food was delicious. Good public car park to rear which is free for up to 4 hours.

Nice bar, good food and great selection of beers, wines, spirits and other drinks. A little pricey but acceptable.

Sat at a table for two which had no reservation tile on it. Our drinks order was taken pretty swiftly allswell as our food order. After about 10/15 mins I was asked to relocate as the customers waiting at the bar were ready to be seated, where we sat down. Each table I looked at had reserved tiles on them and kept on looking with absolutely no luck. I asked a staff member for some help to find somewhere to sit and enjoy our drinks and food. She was incredibly helpful and I took all my belongings and then my partners (he was outside having a cigarette). I found that the customer service was wasn’t particularly pro-active nor attentive. Drinks were fine, my lime soda was dreadful and not even a full glass! My doom bar battered cod and chips were poor as the fish was unfortunately chewy in texture (not the best I’ve ever eaten) for £16.90 I was far from impressed! There were 6/7 tables with reservations so unsure as to why without being so busy the customer service wasn’t that attentive. As someone who has worked in a variety of sectors over the years I’ve never felt so unimportant or appreciated as a customer on what was a seemingly popular and lovely establishment! Could honestly do better in a positive way that makes customers feel welcomed and valued, it’ll go a long way.

Had a really superb lunch in this fabulous pub/restaurant. Great to try new dishes and their wraps and sandwiches at lunchtime were spot on. Leave some room for the incredible waffles !!

Was recommended this establishment. We were direced to our table straight away, however It took over half an hour for our order to be taken (including drinks). I ordered chicken pie and mash. The pie was watery the mash was really dry. The young staff were polite enough, but all looked a bit overwhelmed.

Excellent haddock risotto. Attentive and friendly service. A nice, very cozy pub.

Nice low-ceiling and beamed pub. Dog friendly. Decent Guinness. Live music on the night I last visited. Excellent beer garden. Visited last night again. Unfortunately the Guinness was dreadful, as experienced by a number of my group including myself. Poured into a frozen glass.

Was busy but food and service great, I had chilli cheese burger which was superb, I was hungry and it went down a treat yum yum.

In my opinion it is one of the best pubs in the area consistently delivering good food, drinks and service. Great outside sitting area also for warmer evenings set away from the road. Picturesque location by the church and pub like interiors.

Nicest pub in Rickmansworth and great history for the past five hundred years. Cosy inside and old pub atmosphere is very nice with plenty of seating both inside and out. Dog friendly and great menu. On our last visit the bar service was much too slow for how many staff work here, need more staff behind the bar. Sat outside and would have liked to sit in the sun but all the umbrella's are up... would be much better if they weren't out until it actually gets hot... otherwise we will be back on our next walk through Ricky.
