We had our first date at The Feathers, so it only seemed right to have our engagement party in the private barn (The Wing) with all our friends and family. We hired in a private DJ for the evening and had the most incredible night full of food and drink with the Feather's team running the outside bar and being on hand for whatever we needed. We were able to get in early to set up (balloon arches and decorations galore) and we were so lucky to have been able to celebrate with our nearest and dearest in a place that meant an awful lot to us as a couple. A big thanks to Victoria and the team - you guys are ace.

Very nice pub in Rickmansworth. It was a lovely day so we st in the huge beer garden which was beautiful. Seating areas had been thought of for for smokers non smokers dog owners sun worshippers and those wanting a bit of shade. No running in and out of the pub to place orders or order drinks. The Feathers gives full table service. The staff were all efficient and pleasant and the food was delicious. Good public car park to rear which is free for up to 4 hours.

Sat at a table for two which had no reservation tile on it. Our drinks order was taken pretty swiftly allswell as our food order. After about 10/15 mins I was asked to relocate as the customers waiting at the bar were ready to be seated, where we sat down. Each table I looked at had reserved tiles on them and kept on looking with absolutely no luck. I asked a staff member for some help to find somewhere to sit and enjoy our drinks and food. She was incredibly helpful and I took all my belongings and then my partners (he was outside having a cigarette). I found that the customer service was wasn’t particularly pro-active nor attentive. Drinks were fine, my lime soda was dreadful and not even a full glass! My doom bar battered cod and chips were poor as the fish was unfortunately chewy in texture (not the best I’ve ever eaten) for £16.90 I was far from impressed! There were 6/7 tables with reservations so unsure as to why without being so busy the customer service wasn’t that attentive. As someone who has worked in a variety of sectors over the years I’ve never felt so unimportant or appreciated as a customer on what was a seemingly popular and lovely establishment! Could honestly do better in a positive way that makes customers feel welcomed and valued, it’ll go a long way.

Nicest pub in Rickmansworth and great history for the past five hundred years. Cosy inside and old pub atmosphere is very nice with plenty of seating both inside and out. Dog friendly and great menu. On our last visit the bar service was much too slow for how many staff work here, need more staff behind the bar. Sat outside and would have liked to sit in the sun but all the umbrella's are up... would be much better if they weren't out until it actually gets hot... otherwise we will be back on our next walk through Ricky.

If I can zero star it I would, I am absolutely livid at the fact I have come here with family to celebrate a birthday, we had my 8 and half month old son with us and there is no baby changing facilities on site, they have high chairs here and a kids menu and no baby changing facilities, my son filled his nappy to a point it was over his arms, legs, hands, I asked to speak to a manager and they said if we have a towel they have somewhere we can use which we did so they gave us a step behind a coded door on a rough floor in the freezing, I can't not even begin to explain how angry I am, we are a party of 11 people and none of us will be retuning and we will be telling our friends the same, Chole the manager was not helpful and when I asked for the emailed address of the owener to complain she the avoided us untill we left and was asked to leave as it was gone 8pm and over 21's, we left our family in the pub to carry on the birthday celebration without us

I ate this pub on 22 March 2024. Firstly it was very difficult to find.It was very busy was shown to a table in a crowded bar & not the restaurant. Food was ok but peas were horrible watery and seemed to be frozen peas on top of mushy peas. Really couldn't hear yourself talk had to shout as it was too noisy. After we finished main course was then asked if we wanted to move to the restaurant. Service was slow but servers were polite. Would not go there again and would not recommend unless you are a youngster e.g between the age of 18-30.

Discover a charming countryside pub nestled in a delightful village, radiating a warm and enchanting ambiance. Picture this: an awe-inspiring beer garden that will leave you breathless, coupled with service that's nothing short of stellar. As for the cuisine, I must say it's among the finest I've had in recent memory. If you're on the hunt for a pub where every aspect—clientele, staff, food, and ambiance—sparkles with a five-star glow, look no further. Oh, and did I mention it's dog-friendly? As if that weren't enough, let me underscore just how exceptional the food is here. Trust me, everyone's on the same page—it's unparalleled. Count me in as a returning patron to this heart-warming pub, especially when the allure of a Sunday roast comes into play. Cheers to a truly delightful experience that checks all the boxes! 🌟🐾

Booked a table for my birthday midweek for 4. It's a lovely quaint old pub, very cosy and was quite busy for midweek. The staff were very attentive and helpful with questions on the menu. We had a selection of starters, which were all delicious(panko squid sticks, crab dip, leek & potato soup, oil & balsamic with bread), and the mains were just as delicious (pork collar, classic beefburger with extra bacon & cheese, macaroni cheese with chilli beef & jalapenos and gammon, egg & chips...although the gammon was a little dry) I would highly recommend this pub/ restaurant and will definitely visit again.

The Feathers, Rickmansworth Just literally got back from a works Xmas lunch at this fabulous pub. 3 car parks all within walking distance. After paying the charge & walking to the pub, on a freezing cold day, we entered the pub. As soon as we walked in, you feel the warmth from the fire, the smell of the food & was greeted by a friendly staff member who immediately booked all 13 of us in. (We had previously booked & preordered) Our drinks were all delivered to our table & our food was served in no time (Some of us had to shoot off). I had the salmon, potatoes & puréed leeks, it was cooked to perfection. They guys all had festive burgers & a couple of vegetarian options. Extremely friendly & knowledgeable staff, excellent facilities & the garden looked amazing. Plenty of benches & 2 enclosed areas with fluffy seats & heating. I even saw some doggy bowels, so I’m assuming dogs are welcome too. Just wish I lived closer! Thank you so much for looking after us all. From The Martin-Baker boys & girl!

The venue itself was modern, stylish, and like being on holiday. The staff was amazing, friendly, and accomadating. The food ingredient quality was very high, but that's where it ends. Nothing was seasoned from the burgers to the battered fish. The pulled beef topping in the chilli cheese burger was beef with a can of tomatoes mixed with it. The same topping was used in the mac and cheese, which was watery and flavourless. The fish in the fish chips was o e of the top 5 worst I have had. The batter was dense and a dark brown, saturated with oil. Raw in the inside of the fish. It also tasted like beer itself. Could be caused by badly proportioned batter or old oil.

The food ok, very nicely presented but not really well seasoned. Fish and chips very oily and beer battered fish had definitely too much of flour and was felt dense. And probably my fault as I didn’t read menu properly, but I was surprised not to have mashy peas and tartare sauce with the fish. Though coleslow was tasty. Overall good experience, good portions. I asked if I can take a menu with me then I choose to sit on a corner at the restaurant side where a long table was set up but I only needed for one in the corner by the window table, as I look back a waiter was already behind me and offered to moved the long table and split it. I sat and started to choose from the menu. Then a waiter approached to asked my drink order. I didn't have the drink menu with me when I sat down, the waiter started to walk to the bar and tried to get it for me but I already know what I'd like to order. Gin and Tonic served on a proper balloon glass complete with a garnish of dried berries. As I look at their menu, I could say that it's been created carefully and really have a good selections, it is unique dishes specially the mac and cheese and the salad section. I choose the superflat bread salad that made of humus, rocket salad, roasted pepper, courgette, confit tomato, leeks, kale, brown rice, quinoa, broad beans, red onion, balsamic glaze and feta cheese.Sound deliciously healthy right? I added up the smoked salmon and crushed avocado to make it even more healthier. I requested to put the flat bread on the side. This salad is out of this world; all the texture and taste of each ingredients is playing inside my mouth. I truelly enjoyed it. I never had anything closer to the goodness of this kind of salad. I was really full but then I saw a creme brulle cheese cake so I got curious and asked the young waitress about the texture of it because it sound like infused but I was wondering if it's too soft texture of creme brulle or the texture of cheese cake. She then went and asked the kitchen and went back with an answer and said its more of a cheese cake soft texture rather than the brulle but because I love cheesecake I ordered it anyway eventhough I am too full. When it arrived the size is perfect and my palate has been fooled because I can taste it like a creme brulle but then I could taste the texture of a cheesecake. Now I get it; It's a cheese cake that has a taste of creme brulle. Amazing I had the taste of two in one. I would recommend the place, the food and the ambience. The restaurant got slowly busy and there's a large group as well that dine in. Shame that I did not have the chance to try and relax outside their garden table. It would be good but I ran out of time. I went there for an early dinner and to meet somebody who owns a dog but couldn't make it. Yes! the place is pet friendly perhaps by the beer garden, well maybe next time. The service is excellent. Tried to asked if they could charged my phone before I eat my dinner ( worried that it might go flat and I won't be able to call an uber) and got it back when I finished my dinner. Well I could not even mentioned the name of the young lady who served me, she have an excellent customer skills and great hospitality. They truly do what they said... "They will look after you."

As usual, varied menu with great choice of English classics, in a lovely setting with good beer and garden surroundings. Best pub in Ricky for a meal out.
