The best restaurants in Tendring East of England

Just a plaice really. Popped here whilst we stayed at Parkdean. Great and quick service, fully staffed and very friendly, the food was great too. Faultless.

Heerlijk geslapen in een kamer met eigen badkamer. In de bar de hartstikke leuke zwarte retriever, genaamd Bella, ontmoet. Ze zat heel gezellig op een barkruk. Helaas geen ontbijt. Dan maar aan boord van de Stena Line gegeten.

Went to try Roast Dinner at the three jays as we hadn't been since the new ownership. The Dinner was small, not very hot and a basic and bland Roast dinner. Dinner a nans (But not as good)

Absolutely brilliant very nice place to eat only stop for a cup of tea. Really enjoyed the food

A good selection of sandwiches & cakes, & not the cheapest place. A BIG thumbs down as it is CARD only, hence the 1 star rating. We should always have the option of cash!! I will not be returning!!

Went to buy a bed ordered through them then they had one on display cheaper. Asked if we could have that as they originally said they did not have any in stock. When we complained the owner and his wife got rude and cancelled our order. I would never use them again. Found a better place up at stansted called you’re furnished much better quality and a lot cheaper. AVOID FORD BARNS at al cost as there plain rude

An amazing place to get a Chinese meal from. The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious and quick to collect. They've now become our new go-to Chinese takeaway! Thank you and see you all soon.

If allowed i would have given this place a zero. Worst place I've ever been to. Not family friendly. ..customers sticking their tongues down each other throats in front of young kids and older ppl. Person in charge/manager/owner pretty much laugh in my face when I ask him to speak to them and further told me its a public place and the customers are longterm customers. Not for people of colour as you will be treated as 2 class citizen by owner/manager or whoever is in charge. The food was very bland and cheap quality too.

Nice little cafe friendly staff nice portions of the breakfast nice coffee can get really busy good selection on the menu only down side is cash only and catering sausages I would pay £1 more for a good pork sausage

Didn’t get what I asked for - asked for a half pounder I got a quarter pounder, I also asked for a Coke Zero and ended up with a full fat coke. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue either my order

Overpriced on the cod and chips portion was small and frozen chips from a bag fish was ok should have gone somewhere else.

Staff were so helpful & friendly, dogs were allowed in the back room & given water & sausages. Food is cooked fresh, tastes lovely and the prices are very reasonable

The food at the Ocean diner is filling, large and tasteful. In a whole it complimented for Clacton Piers poor experience. It is basic food but at least it is fresh and filling!

untidy cafe,no customers. eatable, not good, overpriced cafe owner always sitting outside,leaves to young men to run.

Had some decent meals from here of late but not tonight, chicken vindaloo was a few bits of chicken one small piece of potato in a very watery sauce that was hardly madras hot. Very disappointing. Wife had Rogan, which she said lacked flavour not value for money
