The food and the events held there are so much fun quiz nights, barbecue nights/lunch times with great DJ and music across the board soul funk jazz and everything between . Lovley way to meet the locals wile having so much fun . Last but least Good food and drinks at fair prices. ❤️

Wow. Lamb Roast was unreal. We paid extra for some cauliflower cheese, plenty to share between 2, it was soooo yummy. Yorkies and veg were all fresh and fairly portioned. We managed to eat everything but was stuffed! Can’t believe this gem is down the road from us and this is the first time we’ve visited after a friends recommendation. Will definitely be back!!!

Visited for Sunday Lunch with family. When we arrived table was being cleaned after last customer, we were 10 minutes early. Charming young lady saw us to our table, gave us our menu and when we were seated came and took our drinks order. Service was, prompt and efficient. Roast dinner surpassed expectations large Yorkshire puddings , good roast potatoes and good selection of vegetables, swede, carrots, broccoli and green beans. We also had sides of cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips and pigs in blankets. One of our party had roast pork and said the crackling was perfect. The beef and turkey were also good. We had a sponge pudding for dessert with custard which didn’t disappoint. This was an enjoyable Sunday lunch where we were able to chat in a pleasant environment and were not hurried. Recently I have eaten here regularly but this is the first Sunday Lunch I’ve had here for a while.

We popped in for a Sunday roast for the first time since the pub went under new management last year. WOW! The best roast dinner I’ve had in a restaurant ever. The meat was tender, the potatoes were perfectly crisp, the gravy was out of this world. I opted for a side of cauliflower cheese, which was delicious. The service was amazing too, lovely friendly staff who couldn’t have done more for us. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back.

Was recommended this place by my brother. We are here on holiday and wanted a nice Indian to go to. The location of this restaurant you wouldn't expect to see a restaurant hidden there. Once inside it is clean and modern. The waiters are young and trendy and very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was very busy which is a good sign. We ordered the set meal for 4, not only was it presented well, it was tasty and lots of it. Will definitely return here when we are next down from London. Good value for money!

Food here is excellent. We had Sunday lunch. The pork came with a lovely piece of crackling. Very good choice of menu. Staff were very chatty and friendly, although the owners came across as the opposite, quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. The downside is the prices, although still reasonable compared to other local restaurants, are quite a bit higher than given on their website. Many people on here say their online prices need to be updated. I will definitely be going back, and will mention the online prices on my return.

We had dinner at Maffia's during a recent stay in Holland on Sea. Our starters of crab and smoked duck were both tasty but not too large to spoil our appetites. For our mains my husband had a beautiful fillet of halibut in a mussel and cream sauce and I had lobster thermidor with hand made chips. I enjoyed my lobster so much that I pinched the spoon used to serve my husband's vegetables so that I didn't miss a drop of the lovely cheesy sauce and the chips were to die for! We happily finished up with desserts of a blackberry infused creme brulee and lemon cheesecake which were also delicious. Based on our dining experience I would recommend this restaurant as offering a good selection of well cooked bistro style dishes.

Had a takeaway this evening and it was awful. We have had food from this restaurant before and it was always nice so decided to have a treat for my 73rd birthday. I had a king prawn butterfly and it was totally tasteless and stale, followed by lamb passanda and god knows what happened there , lamb no flavour and not as tender as it used to be and the passanda sauce horrid. Not to mention the saag paneer which looked like a green mess. I’ve never had an Indian meal this bad before. I am so disappointed as the food from here was always great until now. Hubby had Raj special Biryani and the veg curry that came with it was a pot of oil and no taste to the main Biryani

As always we had a great time at Lifehouse staying overnight and had a fantastic evening meal and breakfast. We had scallops to start which were exceptional. Duck ragu and Skate for main, again cooked to perfection and the most fabulous pear dessert! Cannot wait to visit again!!!
