The best restaurants in Walton Tendring East of England

Family day out at Walton Pier. After feeling peckish, we decided to walk a couple of minutes along the sea front to the Colonnade kiosk where we were served by the lovely Claire and Charley. We decided to go for the freshly made doughnuts and were not disappointed! No where in this location does it better! Friendly, great value for money and beautiful location onlooking the sea. Highly recommend

Went for first time today. Had the roast beef dinner but unfortunately couldn't eat the meat as it was so tough. Could hardly cut let alone eat it. Yorkshire also tough. My partner had same problem. Also we had to share a small portion of veg. Should have realised when we arrived that we were not going to have a good experience as at 1.30pm there was no one else in the restaurant and it was a Sunday. Needless to say will not go again.

Ordered a meal / food for 6 of us Highly recommend picking up (quoted 25 mins) vs delivery (quoted 1 hour 20 mins) Good food, quick to cook and pick up appreciate that Ordering was a little slow due to our reception on mobile Food itself was hot, plentiful and well cooked Recommend the sweet and sour chicken balls, beef dishes as well Not sure how much MSG is used, but food tasted good, both currys and sweet / sour was flavoursome

My friend and I had a great experience having food from this cafe. The staff were very friendly and the food was very delicious. The ambiance and the cleanliness of the cafe deserves special mention:)

What they don't tell schools on educational visits, is they don't accept kids debit cards. Not sure if it's they don't accept Mastercard. 🤔

Great staff very very friendly. Food was absolutely perfect.Good menu selection and good selection of drinks . Very good prices for the food. Good views if the sea. Will definitely be back

£7 for a small bottle of rose wine had tap water instead barmaid not bothered avoid this place we didnt even bother to look at the food menu take out another mortgage, came here 2 years ago wouldnt botber again

Actually had a Cream Tea for our family of 8. Called in earlier in the week, so booked in advance. Extrememly friendly and helpful. Full choice of teas, kids has amazing choice of milk shakes (extra), the scones were still warm! Bsy everytime we went past, so clearly popular - in itself a recommendation, as there are MANY places to eat in the village.

Service was good just a shame the food wasn't up to standard. The chicken was tiny and the pitta bread was Rock hard. Definitely wouldn't order again

Had a walk from Frinton to Walton during which my phone died. Wanted to eat and drink and spend money in the Queens head but they refused to let me charge my phone claiming it might blow their whole electrics. I found this rather strange. We decided to go elsewhere as the lady was unfriendly and rude about it. We went to a pub round the corner where they were happy for our custom and welcomed us warmly.
