I recently have moved to the area and was recommended to Maffia’s and I was not disappointed- the first time was for a Sunday roast and was so good that we had our family Christmas dinner here and was amazing! Been back today for a Sunday with a couple out of the area and they are giving 10/10

Amazing food and alway a warm friendly welcome.....lovely location. Also a bonus,they have a licence!!👍👍👍no better place to spend some time,winter or summer.....

This is the second time we have been here and the service is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is delicious. I think this place is worth visiting and we'll worth the money. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness and look forward to seeing you again when we are next down here. :-)

Had a good family & friends time in their events room.

Booked afternoon tea for four. Food arrived one hour late and sandwiches so stale they were hard. We complained and the waitress was indifferent to our complaint. The waiter. However was very sympathetic and embarrassed by the very poor quality of the food. I must add at this point another table left all their sandwiches!!! We booked this for a friend’s birthday…. What a celebration. We will NEVER set foot in this hotel again! We walked out!

Firstly, i have to say, i have just come on here to leave a review and i am shocked at some of the previous reviews. My wife and i have just returned home from a wonderful evening at The Mayflower. This isn't our first time here but i forgot to leave a review the last time, but this time this place blew us away and i had to. The food and service this evening was top drawer, Jack and Pheobe were rushed off their feet this evening, but handled the restaurant like true professionals with a constant smile on their faces and a professionalism that would put other restaurants to shame. I am only sorry i couldn't meet the chefs and thank them too, as the food was out of this world. This is without doubt THE chinese eat in restaurant in the Clacton/Holland area. Thank you so much guys, we will be returning again and again.

Food here is excellent. We had Sunday lunch. The pork came with a lovely piece of crackling. Very good choice of menu. Staff were very chatty and friendly, although the owners came across as the opposite, quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. The downside is the prices, although still reasonable compared to other local restaurants, are quite a bit higher than given on their website. Many people on here say their online prices need to be updated. I will definitely be going back, and will mention the online prices on my return.

First time as a family of 9 that we have eaten out on Christmas Day and it was absolutely amazing. The food was second to none plus lovely staff. Highly recommend

Stopped here on my way to London today, amazing coffee and brilliant service. I took a lot of time to pick what I wanted but the girl and the lad there were very accommodating to me. The coffee was made perfectly, better than any of the high street chains like costa and Starbucks. I must praise them for their service as well, not sure on their names but it was the blonde girl and the lad with the black hair. Will definitely be coming back.
