After reading about this bakery in the local paper I made a special trip to see what the bread is like. WOW! The best Portuguese Custard Tart I have ever eaten! There were amazing little quiches as well….to say nothing of the Rosemary Focaccia! What a find.. Worth the trip.

I've ordered from the Bury St. Edmunds branch for many years. Never disappointed. Only one time a problem with the order which was replaced super-swiftly. Tonight's order arrived really fast. Polite and smiley delivery person. Pizza cooked perfectly, just the right amount of toppings. Crust light, thin and crispy. Piping hot. And after eight cookies, OMG a gooey delight.

What a surprise. In the middle of rolling Suffoilk countryside is the Wyken Estate where the owners have added a pizza cafe to their well established restaurant, vineyard and farming estate. A few weeks ago we visited the cafe and enjoyed very good home made pizzas and salad together with wine from the estate. Afterwards we walked down the meal with a visit to the picturesque garden of Wyken House, an attractive 17th century building with pargetted exterior walls. If you are in the locality its worth a visit. Pizzas are served Wednesday to Sundays 10am to 5pm although times may change in the winter so check.

Best burger I’ve had in a long while! Was really filling and tasty. Definitely be back when I’m in the area next.

What a friendly spot to stop for a simple lunch or a delicious homemade slice of cake or a scone! Perfect for coeliacs, too, with two choices of GF cake even though we arrived later on Saturday afternoon, which is the end of the week for this delightful cafe. We were served an enormous slice of Lemon and white chocolate cake and a bowl of hot Pea and Mint Soup, a coffee and a steaming china mug of tea, all for £9.50. But the value was actually in the lovely conversation we had with the ladies serving. If you have a chance, and are feeling peckish, I'd definitely drop in.
