Attended here last night for the Star Wars Unlimited prerelease event. I have to say the staff was very friendly throughout the event. Loved the tab system for food and drinks and the decor and atmosphere was perfect. Also the music was right on point for me. For my first time attending an event in store it was brilliant will be definitely be returning again.

My wife and I played games and eat panninis, cake and drank. We played Pylos and Patchwork, each for 2 players, and it was great fun. They have about 600 games. The staff were very helpful in helping us know the costs and also the rules of the games,😀 Highly recommended.

We stumbled in here midday on the weekend and managed to get a window seat. It was a really busy and great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and had expertise in most of the games. They were fantastic at talking us through the game before we played and made sure we had a good understanding. Great experience!

Only really go in to shop for new cards and sleeves but the staff is always nice and helpful!

Excellent fun, Tom was very helpful introducing us to a few games and we had a great time. Highly recommend even if you've never played a card/board game.

The staff were horrible they didn't help me when I was stuck on a game and were so holiday. Second of all they played very loud music on purpose to annoy me and when I asked them politely if they could turn it down they just laughed and ignored me. Don't come here it is a horrible place to come and definitely wouldn't recommend it

First time going to the cafe last night 30/3/24. Was there for a little tournament style pokemon tcg for the chance to win a temporal force's booster box. Sadly I did not win 😞,but I had so much fun sore some familar faces and made some Ben friends. The staff were great friendly. The food was really good and at a fair price. I took £15 and got myself 2 drinks and a panini and still had change. Look forward to seeing you again soon

Love this Place! Staff are great! Happy to explain any board games to you and teach you.how to play. Great friendly atomsphere. Drinks are amazing. Food is pretty small portions though. Definitely dont miss this place if you come to Bury St Edmunds.

My partner and I have played in a number of Board Game Cafe and without doubt, the staff in Shuffle are the friendliest and most knowledgeable we have encountered, this is what made the experience really stand out for us. Aside from that, the Cafe is well stocked with a great range of games, clean and well located. We had some lunch/snacks and were very impressed with the cost and standard. Well done Shuffle, keep up the fantastic work and we look forward to visiting you again 👌🏻

Have attended a few board game cafes over the years, and this one really stood out for me in terms of its professionalism, engagement and the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and, unlike some other venues I have visited, the games were all in excellent nick (no missing parts) and the cafe felt extremely clean and in good repair. There were loads of choices of games and I particularly liked the simple clear organisation of the games on offer. This made it really easy for my son and I to identify and play a variety of different games, without spending ages hunting through stacks (unlike the convoluted organisational arrangements I have seen elsewhere). My 8-year-old also rated their kids' chocolate as outstanding! The food choice was limited, but good (better this way than overreaching and falling flat). We live in London and so are unlikely to return here but if we were closer, I would not hesitate to return. Had a really lovely afternoon here. Thanks guys!

What a lovely place to take friends and / or family. Fantastic atmosphere, warm and welcoming. They guys have a great knowledge of a lot of games and all the patience to teach you. We didn't eat here, so I couldn't rate the food, but everything else was spot on. I bought the game shown in the photo as we loved it and got hooked, they had it for sale in the shop.

Lovely place. When we arrived we were greeted by Chris who made an excellent recommendation for a 2 player game, Century Spice Road, then he very clearly and quickly explained the rules. Tip: Bury has free parking on Tuesday after 3 right around the corner, although if travelling specially do phone ahead and book in case there is a tournament on. We arrived before it started so we had plenty of time but it would have been different if we had come later.

We spent a lovely lunch time here (on a day that was meant to be rainy but wasn't, but hey). Food was good and a nice selection of drinks. Staff are really helpful with picking out boardgames if you're after something specific, ooh and the muffins were great!

Superb spot in Bury. Staff are really knowledgeable about all the games in their extensive library and actively engage with customers to teach. The range of games is incredible, from small 10min quick learns to epic sagas that take hours to learn and play. Every time we've been we've ended up staying longer than expected as the food and drink are so good you don't want to leave. Events are really well attended and get booked up quickly. Booking for table time highly recommended as it can be busy.

I've been to a few board game cafés and this one is the best. They do charge you a small amount to play, but it's worth it. Their choice of board games is vast and immaculate, I've never found anything missing or damaged. On top of that the staff are so helpful, it is clear they are interested in the job and can teach you on most the board games, as well as give a great recommendation. If you're ever with a group of people and want to get them into board games, this is the place!

Genuinely the most wholesome experience I have had in years. Incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff who obviously love being there. Went as a TOTAL novice of most board games (standard thing aside) and had an absolute blast with two friends whilst enjoying delicious cocktails. I would love it if they'd expand their evening menu a fraction but I totally know why they're keeping things simple as they are all about the games and it was such a pleasure. So wonderful to see the broad demographic that visited and to be a part of that crowd. Very very welcoming. I will 100% be back. Nice one, folks! ☮️🩷

We loved our visit. Tom our Games Guru was fab at helping us learn the rules and even stayed with us to help on a couple of live rounds. They had a mind blowing selection of games, with help, we narrowed it down to four! The drink and food menu had a great selection of items- Inc kids options- the food was fresh and a great size. The atmosphere was both buzzy and calm. Couldn’t think of a nicer way to celebrate Fathers Day weekend. We will be back for more with our 7&9 year old boys. Fab concept- perfectly executed 👍

Had a brilliant time. Staff were helpful and ready to help you out with rules of games, saving you spending ages reading all the rules. Will definitely be back again. A slightly larger range of beers would be fantastic.

Me and my BF had a lovely afternoon here. Joash was super friendly and helpful during out visit. The atmosphere was super warm, chill and friendly - better than the board games cafes I've visited in London. We were able to browse all the games we wanted before sitting down and paying for our time slot. Drink and playtime was great cost we paid £18 for 3 drinks and our game time. Games were fun and had all pieces there that we needed. They also have a fun selection of games you can buy too.

I visit this establishment regularly. The entire Staff I'd amazing. Always a comfortable atmosphere, the food and drinks are delicious. Their Chia Latte is the best I've ever had.

The people are lovely and welcoming, the vibe is great and relaxed, the music is brilliant, and the food is to die for! Great selection of board games and staff are willing to explain the games and help you along if needed. Definitely get the breadsticks and houmous, and the mango chilli smoothie - will be visiting again - excited for dnd evening!

Popped in for a coffee and some family fun on a gloomy afternoon. Staff were brilliant, and there was such a great mix of games being played (from a full-on DnD campaign to a spirited game of Articulate!) by people of all ages. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time here. The staff is friendly and helped pick out a game for our party to play together. They have a wide variety of games to play and a welcoming atmosphere.

Great place with wonderful staff-id suggest they could do a membership (like monthly or yearly subscription for regular customers).

Happy with food but not quite sure that we have to give tips for just having lunch there. Food cost about £21. No game. However, cafe waiter actively asked us to pay tips and £3.24 was added to the bill was a bit too much. In the end our bill was more than £24. What we are not happy is the amount added in without my agreement. :(

An outstanding second visit to my new favourite spot to chill and have fun. The team at shuffle are exceptional at what they do. Excellent customer service, and recommendations of what games to play. Their knowledge of their huge game library is extremely impressive, happy to teach you the rules of the game. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. The food isn’t necessarily cheap, but I wouldn’t call it expensive either - it is however fantastic. A cheaper evening out than the cinema and in my opinion 10 times the fun. Visit and you won’t regret it. Just let them know when you’re coming so they reserve you a table (avoid disappointment) can’t wait to visit for a third time very soon!

Absolutely outstanding, would give more stars if i could! The range of gamesbon offer here is absolutely insane. The staff are knowledgeable in the rules of all the 400+ games and are friendly and willing to help get you rolling fast so you can play. They assisted in finding games suitable for play for 3yrs and up and made the experience very pleasant. Food service and quality puts this place high on my list of places to got for a great time and lunch. Great place for all ages

every town should have atleast one of these, finally somewhere that focuses on just having a relaxing time, there's amazing coffee, cocktails if you want them and pretty much any board game you can think of.

Thank you to the staff at the shuffle board cafe for hosting my sons 11th birthday party today. The most attentive staff taught all of the kids new games.. and the coffee was great too. There’s a place in Cambridge that this place just completely blows out of the water. The folks here are perfectly selected as they’re passionate about board games and helping people enjoy them. I’ve come here over several times in the past month, and can firmly say I will continue visiting. So grateful a place like this is here.

I've been to Shuffle a few times now and had a great time with each visit. The staff are super helpful, have an encyclopedic knowledge of the games, and are friendly and attentive. They're more than happy to play a round or two with you to get up to speed with the game or just leave you too it if you'd prefer. The Games library is large. Offering plenty of variety which will meet anyone's taste. The cost to access the library is inexpensive and gives you access to all the games available. The food and drink selection is good, offering some interesting alternatives to your normal Cafe selections. I've found the coffee to be very good. A comfortable atmosphere, suitable for anyone, families, friends, young, old etc. They also provide a small library of games that are available for purchase. A really great addition to Bury St Edmunds.

I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons at Shuffle for a few weeks now and it is such a warm, friendly atmosphere to game in. Impressive and comprehensive selection of board games, too!

Massively selection of games to play (that’s continued to grow each time I’ve visited!) Staff are really friendly and knowledgable and can recommend a new game for you to try based on things you already like. Awesome selection of drinks (the smoothies are delicious) and yummy food. I’m dragging everyone I know here!

Plenty of games, helpful staff. Food on the expensive side but was good. Went just after opening so was quiet and plenty of space. Staff spent time explaining games and did the same for other visitors. The low review is because whilst we were the only people the staff were speaking to one another behind counter. One spoke about wanting to get to know a female customer better (H*****t), lamenting they were single and that the only reason they were in the job was to meet women, complaining there was only 1 female they worked with. And then self correcting that they were in the job to meet customers, customers as their colleagues reaction showed it was inappropriate conversation I felt very uncomfortable and was there with my young son. You could also overhear conversations about £3k being stuck in a contract. I didn’t know how to handle the situation and as someone with hidden disabilities and female I would not feel comfortable recommending solo women going.

What a brilliant place to spend an afternoon! Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff who will happily walk you through the huge selection and variety of games, the food is absolutely wonderful and the coffee is hands down the best coffee I've ever had. 🤌🏻 The team is also very accomodating and good with children, and have a selection of games suitable for young ones. High chairs also available.

Myself and 4 others visited from Cambridge and it was well worth the visit ! The board game selection was exemplary, with choices for all types and player number. The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the rules. They demonstrated excellent knowledge of a range of board games and were able to make recommendations. We played three games and enjoyed them all immensely and I am excited to come again.

Beautiful café! This is exactly what Bury St Edmunds needs. Such a relaxed environment to chill with a coffee (or even a beer!) and play some games with friends. Staff are very friendly and definitely know their board games! Will definitely be returning!!

If you want a different night out check this place out great food and drinks including decent craft beer plus more games than you could ever play .. if you wanna go old school theres monopoly and connect four but just ask any of the staff what you should play and they will help you pick something you have never heard of before then teach you how to play

Wow, what a café! A great selection of coffee, soft drink and alcohol paired with an incredible library of games. The staff are super knowledgeable and welcoming. The tables are top notch and a bit quirky! My 'new' favourite place to chill!
