A great end to the night with my partner. The small plates and boards were absolutely delicious and just the right size for us both. We were checked in on and looked after incredibly well. My partner Ryan asked for recommendations based on the type of wine he enjoyed and was given three options that he loved. The general vibe was very cosy and relaxed and we were offered the chance to move from the high tables to the sofa area once any were free, although we were very happy where we were!

Another visit to BSE and another visit here - in fact it was our first stopping point after check in at the hotel. We really love the decor, the staff and also the range on very interesting wines by the glass that allows you explore something totally different from lesser known wine countries should you choose. Totally recommend

This place is a hidden jewel for anyone who appreciates a great drink and a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visit was the interaction with Lewis. His expertise and knowledge of cocktails were truly impressive. He not only prepared some of the best cocktails I've ever had but also shared fascinating insights about each drink. Lewis’s passion for mixology is evident, and his friendly demeanor makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Whether you're a cocktail aficionado or new to the world of mixed drinks, Lewis is the person to see. The lighting and decor contribute to a warm and intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed evening out. The Wine Cellar is a must-visit for anyone in Bury St Edmunds looking for a refined yet comfortable place to enjoy excellent drinks and company. The combination of Lewis’s cocktail mastery, the fantastic ambiance, and the kind-hearted people makes The Wine Cellar stand out as a top-notch destination. I highly recommend The Wine Cellar for an evening of superb cocktails and engaging company. It’s a place where each visit feels special, thanks to the skilled staff and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and let Lewis surprise you with a cocktail masterpiece!

Have visited here several times now during the day, both solo, and with my partner. The Wine Cellar is a relaxing, chilled environment and a great spot for people watching, or just a bit of down time with some quality drinks. The range of wines is extensive, but more importantly Brad and Lewis really know their stuff. If you're not sure what to have, they will guide you and listen to any preferences you may have. Invariably this results in a great wine being served. I would also add that the pair of them make great conversation when its quiet as well, but that is not to say they aren't attentive when busy. Its a pleasure to watch these guys work serving customers the way they do - They clearly enjoy their jobs and that shows in the overall experience. They deserve every success with their business.

Although we live near Bury St Edmunds we rarely make it into town of an evening, so we didn't actually know this place existed until we wandered past it on a busy Saturday night. Fortunately they had a table and we got to enjoy a few drinks in the lovely relaxed atmosphere. It's a real gem, with an extensive wine list (many by the glass), small plate food and lovely staff. We'll definitely return!

A new addition to Bury St Edmunds since our last visit and wow what a great addition, exceptional knowledgeable and friendly staff, a great wine list with some more unusual wines to trey and an awful lot available by the glass. Superb classy decor and the charcuterie was pretty damn good too! So good we went back both days of our visit!

We absolutely love visiting The Wine Cellar! Great vibes, great music, and lovely food and wine. The owner Bradley is extremely knowledgeable about the wines that they serve and it’s always such an interesting selection! (Can’t believe there’s another review on here complaining about no freebies…?! Sorry, what??) Can’t recommend this place highly enough and looking forward to our next visit!

We went for pre drinks and nibbles before going to the Apex. There were five of us. We had drinks and nibbles and when we asked for the bill the manager came and asked how we felt about our first visit. My daughter in law suggested that it would have been nice if they had offered complimentary nibbles while we waited for our food instead of charging £3 per tiny pot. He replied rather rudely that if he did this he would have to put up the price of his food. Rather sad because of course we will give this feedback to all our family and friends.

We were excited to find an authentic Greek cafe and not disappointed with our find!! We had Gyros and a pie. The salad that accompanied them both was delicious. The tsatziki was yummy. We stocked up on some goodies to take home. Lovely staff

A rainy day so I had lunch at the Haven. A very healthy and tasty tuna jacket with a simple fresh salad and a pot of Yorkshire tea. Friendly staff and a very popular place. Best of all, by eating here you are supporting St Nicholas Hospice.

Christian cafe. Lovely people. It was a bit awkward as no background music and I was the only one there. But did talk to the staff in the end and they were very friendly. Lovely building. Yummy food and very reasonable.
