Absolutely beautiful gem of a place you won't be disappointed. Friendly professional and staff who are simply wonderful. Just had a delicious cheese and tomato sandwich with side salad. That was perfect. They have a good and varied menu but pleased they have traditional snacks as well. The garden area is beautiful and so peaceful too. Friendly locals and huge car park.

Nice place feels like vintage & with friends you can have chilled beers while seated outside surroundings with natural beauty. Must place to try with family ,friends and try their Sunday roast ,I haven't tried but heard about them alots regarding Sunday roast.
We had a fairly extensive delivery. It was late and the driver did not expect to be paid in cash as we had been instructed to do. Contrary to a promise (on the 'phone) it included no complementary desserts.
Worst, and potentially dangerous, a chicken dish contained uncooked chicken. The piece was raw, red, and could not be cut through with a dining knife.
We e-mailed Nonno, with a photograph of the uncooked chicken , as a courtesy to them, and expected a most urgent response to a serious complaint about a dish that could have resulted in severe food poisoning. We received no response.
Great Sunday lunch, great staff and atmosphere. Have already booked again for a Saturday night. Recently moved to the area so will definitely make the most of this very welcoming pub/ restaurant
Half of duck - dry and tasteless
Rest of meal looked as if everything cooked in same sauce.
Disappointed as it used to be our favourite but we won’t be returning. Suggest avoiding
We stopped here for lunch and what a find. Lovely friendly staff and amazing food. Everything was lovely and fresh and the house wine was good too. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.
This isn’t a tradition Italian restaurants everything is burnt to a crisp
Mid placed orders
Being that it’s the only restaurant in St Albans that’s dead over the the festive period speaks volumes
Absolutely brilliant service. Very kind people and the food was excellent!
Sometimes we fancy Chinese food other times just a simple fish and chips both options are delicious. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so.
food up to usual nando’s standard, but came here on 14th may 2025 at around 1pm - manager or main server was condescending when we asked for our allergy order to be marked as an allergy order as he believed that it wouldn’t be an issue given what we were ordering- for reference it’s a gluten allergy and cross contamination could be an issue- he refused to even just mark it as allergy to let the kitchen know, then suggested he couldn’t serve us if we were ‘unsure’ - essentially if we pushed for it to be allergy marked he wouldn’t serve us… all in all ruined this dining experience and felt insecure about the food, which was a shame given we are big fans of nando’s recently, please make sure staff are helpful and sympathetic about allergies in future 🙏
Dog friendly. Friendly staff and lovely coffee.
Nice sofa/soft seating (but limited) downstairs. Get a seat by the window and watch the world go by. Larger seating area and toilets are upstairs. Accessible toilet is downstairs just past the cashier area.
Pub open all day, from 10 for coffe moring Mon, Wed, Fri. Servibg Landlord and Bass but may change. Earnestly seeking a chef to serve food like they used to do.
