Nonno's Pizza in St Albans

Ordered from here by mistake as they classify themselves top of google search but we wanted Zio’s pizzeria in Harpenden instead. When the pizza arrived it had not smell of a nice pizza and when we opened the cardboard box it was from one cardboard from another cardboard box. It was tasteless , insipid, cold and crunchy like a biscuit 😂🤦‍♀️ Please stop thinking you know how to make pizza. I know my pizza from miles I’m from south of Italy half hour from Naples.Stick to what you know.

We popped in without having made a booking. Friendly waiters , our pizzas were full of toppings and the mixed salad was lovely and fresh.

Enjoyed a quick lunch here yesterday, we sat outside and everything was just perfect. Waiter could not have been more attentive and helpful. Food and drinks were delicious, pizza was as good as any we have had in Italy. Enjoyed every moment and mouthful, we will be going back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Thank you

best Italian pizza and Pasta Harpenden branch noon's pizza Salads, starters, pizzas, risotto. The best I’ve had in the U.K. for a long time. So good that I’ll be dinning in as soon as I can get

Ordered a single pizza from this company and got a call asking where I was. Tried to direct the driver but all he kept saying when asked where he was - “In the street”. I walked up and down ‘The Street’ in the rain and couldn’t find him. Terrible communication. Will not be using again.

Truly a sweet little find in Harpenden high street with seating outside and in even though set up as a takeaway. Stopped off for a small bite and coffees. Friendly staff and got seated inside near the wood fire oven for the warmth as crisp outside. The food was prepared in front of us and was good. Did ask for cappuccino but got filter coffees but did not mind. Whole selection of pizzas and pastas as well as mains to choose from. Usual hot and cold choice of drinks. Prices were reasonable

Food was excellent as always. As well as the quality of the food, the portion size is very generous. Will definitely order again.

Failed to deliver our pizza. After more than an hours wait I rang to find out They then blamed me for not answering But turns out they took it to the wrong address No real apology Really poor service

Such a huge choice of pizzas (and pastas and other food) - so delicious. The guys who run Nonno's are so friendly and welcoming. House white is good. And the tiramisu is ♥️. Thanks for the treat. It's on my order next time. I've had take away and eaten there - just brilliant

Order online for home delivery. Live quite a distance away so it took about an hour as indicated. All I can say is that it was well worth the wait! Everything and I mean everything was delicious. Salads, starters, pizzas, risotto. The best I’ve had in the U.K. for a long time. So good that I’ll be dinning in as soon as I can get a table.

I've been here twice for coffee now and found the staff to be polite and welcoming, and the coffee awesome

Collected two pizzas tonight both piping hot lovely bases and fresh toppings. Well worth the price; will be back I'm sure

Not a great pizza , very very dry dough base , little topping and lack of taste .. for a wood fire this was very poor . Pizza … one of the easiest things to make but this company needs some lessons .

We have eaten in twice at Nonno’s and have been impressed both times, with the service and the food. Whilst there is more seating at the Wheathampstead branch (Harpenden only really has one table for 4), we prefer the intimacy and smaller setting. Very informal and relaxed. Try it and see.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour . So I ordered two pizza’s for a total of £35 (yes, not cheap) through Deliveroo. It showed that my order would be delivered in 25-30 minutes but I was not allowed to track the rider. After 50 minutes I called the pizzeria, he said it was on its way… the journey is max 10 minutes. After a further 20 minutes I rang again and was told it was on its way…. After a further 30 minutes I rang again- no answer. I try to cancel the order but am not allowed as it says that my order is on its way. 2 hours have passed i get deliveroo involved they say order is on its way - max 10 minutes. I say that it shows it has been delivered and it is not true, but they promise that the pizza is on its way. After a further 1 hour I ask both restaurant and Deliveroo for a full refund as the pizza has not been delivered and is apparently still “on its way” and I am told by both no, as the pizza is on its way. At this point I am £35 poorer, starving and beyond frustrated. Poor service Deliveroo be ashamed of yourselves, I will ring bank tomorrow and stop payment, and to Nonnos Pizza, you lied out right for three hours I have CCTV to prove it was never delivered. Do not use

I ordered pizzas from here and they presented their delivery time as 10 minutes. It took 50. So they claimed 10 minutes had been the prep time, which isn’t true. They then claimed it was on the way, which also wasn’t true. The delivery driver said it took 5 minutes directly from the restaurant. Don’t order from people who misrepresent their service in order to beat competitors. Not ok.

This review is not about the food. It is about ordering via Deliveroo and how the restaurant manage using that service. My order eventually arrived 60 minutes later than advertised (Deliveroo app told me delivery time would be 10 minutes). Throughout this 60 minute wait,...

Always friendly service and food is very nice. I’ve ordered several deliveries and the arrive hot. Tonight will be a challenge given the storms we are having.

The greasiest pizza I have had in years, the pepperoni is the spicy thick cut type & the cheese is exceptionally heavy & fatty, the irony is that I tried this as I thought it would be a healthier option than Papa johns or Dominos....

Had takeaway lady night. So yummy. Will definitely have again. Freshly cooked and so full of toppings we needed cutlery to eat it. Fast delivery too.

Popped in for lunch on the outside table. Friendly staff, pizzas & calzone were fantastic. Pizza as it should be, tasty, crust just right thickness and melt in mouth. A little slice of Italy on the high street, not surprising really as the chef is...

We tried this new restaurant for takeaway. All four of us had different dishes, pizza, calzone and some other main meals. All were excellent quality and big portions. It’s not the cheapest place but it is restaurant quality food. Very friendly service when we collected....
