This is a cafe inside of a Sainsbury's (stevenage branch) , today they aren't selling toasties because they have "run out of cheese". I guess nobody can be bothered to walk over to the cheese aisle? Ridiculous to run out of ingriedients when they're inside a supermarket.

Excellent cafe. Carluccio's cafe in Sainsbury's is really nice unlike the Carluccio's at Sainsbury's London Colney. They refuse to provide full cream milk and even refused to give me a glass of water. At this Carluccio's there's a very nice manageress, good coffee and soft seats too. The milk options start with full fat which is a marked change from the cafe in Sainsbury's at London Colney and other cafes nowadays. The Store is good too, as is the parking.

Bought a Large latte, hazelnut frappe and 2 ham & cheese toasties. The toasties were lovely and hot, cheese melting and lovely toasted bread. Could of had just a bit more ham.in rather than the half a slice. Lappe was ok. I asked for the hazelnut frappe with NO cream. Watched it being made and just stopped the assistant putting cream on top, but she had already put a squirt on. No apology or offer to make a new one. Couldnt tell it was a hazelnut frappe as it has so much chocolate sauce it it was more like a chocolate one. So sickly l left it after 4 mouthfuls ... £17.40 in total. Definitely not worth it

Nice smallish cafe just inside the front entrance of Sainsbury’s which provides a useful haven to have a decent coffee and something maybe to have with it. Considering its location it seemed reasonably peaceful, the staff seemed nice and attentive, the menu is what you’d expect in a coffee shop along with similar things to eat and the coffee is rather good. A really nice feature within a supermarket.

I came in to order afternoon tea for two but only had one scone so I got that but I think the name should be changed to cream tea as that is what it is not afternoon tea as there are no sandwhichs or cake as a normal afternoon tea has . Also had ham egg and chips which was nice very good customer service very good with my mum who has dementia and cleand the table and replaced my tea when I spilt it . Overall a nice place to eat with the view of the river there is room for improvement some of the food I witnessed comeing out of the kitchen looked slightly over cooked and another customer commented that the fish was over cooked and the batter was hard

Terrible service waited 10 minutes for takeaway latte and served several people who were behind me before I asked what was taking so long, didn’t apologise. Staff seem like they don’t know what they are doing.

Was in there at 9.15 am. Asked for the breakfast bacon roll deal. Was told they had run out of bacon and sausages. What? They're located inside a bloody supermarket for God's sake. How the hell can you run out of produce at 9.15. Plus the till wasn't working. Apparently computer update was required. Poor poor service. Don't think I'll go back there in a hurry. 👎👎🤬

Tried on Saturday but shocked while I was standing in the queue staff shouting people’s names from the till. Not a relaxing environment at all. Had run out of scones. Then noticed a member of staff pull her mask down to talk then same hand pressing a lid down on a takeaway cup. It might say carrluccios but not as I know it. Had to move as couple having full blown argument on table next to us

Very clean and staff are friendly. Great customer service and i didn’t feel like I was in Sainsbury’s whilst eating. Plenty of options for meat eaters and vegetarians but as someone on a plant-based diet I was limited to a vegan croissant and cherry almond cookie. As I wanted to peck at something little, that was enough for me but would love to see at least one other option (something more filling) in future!

When I saw the signs that this was opening, I was so excited. I followed their Facebook and Instagram pages and watched the progress every time I visited Sainsbury's. I even debated being late for work so that I could go as soon as they opened. But now they have opened and I've been, I'm going to Pret on Monday. The store could be any coffee shop except it has the blue colouring of Carluccios. But other than that, it just offers standard coffee shop items. The point that makes Carluccios stand out amongst other restaurants is how they cater so well for people with allergies and special diets. Here, absolutely nothing is gluten free (except the crisps). Antonio was championing gluten free years before it hit the mainstream so it's sad that this bears his name but completely ignores that. EDIT: it's great you claim to care about allergies and special diets, but actually what you're doing is exclusion. Anyone who needs a special diet isn't welcome here. You can dress that up however you like but there are multiple other coffee shops that actually want my business.

Pizza Express stopped doing my favourite, Calabrese pizza, but I found The Yard and the two pizzas I ordered last night were beautiful. The Hot One and their own Calabrese. Lovely Italian base, awesome meats, proper chillies and a little sweetness, perfect !

We ordered pizza delivery from here on a Monday and it took 45 minutes for 3 pizza to arrive and when they did it was cold. We live less and mile away, won’t be using again as this is the second time we had a bad experience with Wheathampstead nonnos
