Cheerz Pizza in St Albans

This is the second time I've ordered 3 pizzas, each with its own toppings. Each pizza has something different from what I order. They do not respond to emails about complaints

The pizza is amazing (5 star) but the customer service is horrible (1 star). We have ordered from this place atleast 10 times, each time being minimum £25. Everytime we didn't care about the customer service because it came early or everytime we called, he would be screaming down the phone saying 'it's coming brother' and that would be the end of the conversation Today, we placed an order for Iftaar, at 6 30, expecting it to arrive at 7 30pm - 8pm. 8.20pm and the pizza did not arrive so any sensible person would call and ask the status of the order. The guy who always answers the phone, said its done and that it will arrive in 3 minutes whilst screaming like usual. I said fine and ended the call. It then became 8 40pm, we haven't had our food as we were waiting now for 2 hours and the man did lie to me. I call a second time knowing that this man would be screaming down the phone so I was prepared. I call at 8.40pm, and ask him that it has been over 2 hours, you said that it will be here 17 minutes ago and he said no, he never said that the food would be here at 8.23pm and that the driver has left. I said, that we would like some compensation, he then said that the driver is outside ( he was not ), and that it's haram for me to suggest that I might not take the order. This was outrageous because I never said I would not take the order. He is very hostile in his wording and approach. I then said that it is haram to continuously lie about the driver as he was never outside our house and even when I was on the call with him for 5 minutes, the driver never once appeared outside. The food is great and that is why we use to order here, but the customer service has always been horrible. The man has always been the one answering the calls everytome we ordered. He was trying to teach me my religion because I disagreed with his approach of talking to me and started using words like 'haram' to make me try and buy the £50 order when not only has it been above 2 hours at this point, but him being very aggressive. Like I mentioned, the pizza is amazing but the customer service is horrible. As soon as you disagree with him and have to talk to that guy in charge of the calls for longer than 30 seconds, you will never want to order from this place again. Take that from someone who has been ordering here for pizza always. I have given the food a 5 star but the overall rating is a 2 because of this man. I will not order from here ever again. It is disheartening that we will never order from here again because of this man as you can never escape him.

Dodgy website and don’t get order confirmation. Received the wrong pizza and after phoning up they blamed me for an error when their website messed up. Guy on the end of the phone hung up on me after being rude and refusing to let me speak to someone else. There is no way of finding out what pizza is coming once ordered soo even if someone does make an error there is nothing that can be done. To top it off the pizza came luke warm looking like it had been sliced on fruit ninja.

Arrived just after closing time and the gentlemen was still kind enough to make me pizza. Taste was great too. Can’t fault anything.

I usually order my pizza from here and never really am disappointed. but today the pizzas were just poor! I ordered a dinner pizza, that barely had any donner on it! I would say the whole pizza had one slice cut up. so one slice had one chunk of donner. I called up to tell them this and of course nothing but rude behaviour over the phone. if you’re going to sell donner pizza, make sure it’s a donna pizza.

The best pizza ever. I tried the pepperoni pizza with vegetables add ons once and it was really amazing. Now Cheerz pizza is my only choice when i need pizza in St Albans. I was talking with a customer the other day and we started talking about food. They also said Cheerz pizza is their top choice when they need to treat themselves with a delicious food. Two days ago i thought i will give their beef burger a try and i found it also very delicious and tasty

Never again I spent almost £30 on a takeaway for my children and their cousins. We ordered the £25 mega deal. So came with 3 pizzas 2 sides and l ordered extra portion of chips. The pizzas were very bland and not very appetising. Even a simple margarita was not nice at all. I ordered two pizzas thin base and the margarita deep pan. The margarita pizza looked like it was on a thin base as well. The two sides were chicken wings which were burnt and with actual black burnt marks so the children were not able to eat these. The second side was potato wedges and same as the wings they were burnt. The chips were undercooked and full of seasoning salt. So I had to wipe off the seasoning salt and then feed the children. Absolutely disappointed with this place as I was recommended to order from here by a family member. I don’t think I will be ordering from here anymore or will be recommending this place.

VERY RUDE STAFF! No manners whatsoever and the prices outside the shop flashing in red apparently don’t exist … pizza was ok but hardly any toppings

Pizza is average but if you order for delivery be prepared to wait, you could probably make your own pizza from scratch by the time your one gets delivered

Ordered to cater for my sons birthday party. Delivered to the venue when they said it would be. Pizza was delicious. Ordered 50% more than we thought we needed but was so good that nearly all of it went. Even those who said they didn't like pizza enjoyed it. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

I've ordered several times over the past year and have always been very happy. Delivered within the hour, and the deliverer is always very friendly. Have recommended to several friends.

Rock hard wedges . BBQ sauce on pizza is saturated to the point of it being sickening . They are friendly when taking payment but as soon as you politely complain they get rude and dismissive. Horrid food

Save your money. Pizza was ok rest was so awful we had to stop eating. Chips dry and white no seasoning £4 on there oen, burgers n nuggets domt come with any chips and so your forced to spend £10 for a soggy burger and revolting under cooked dry frozen chips. . Burger soggy and falling apart as so much sauce. Stuffed mushrooms just bit of mozerlla stuffed wer the stalk is no breadcrum no seasoning nothing. Tasted old and like oil. Never complained about anything but the nuggets wer 5 quid and had nochips or anything. Unfortunately when we called the owner because the whole sorry lot came to 30 quid he was so rude and aggressive in his response he point blank refused to accept there was anything wrong. I was gentle and courtoues in how i explained what was wrong, met by ridiculous rebuffe of " your the first person to complain EVER"" we have the best chips in town. " save your money go to medgrill down the road always delicious food or to dominos.

Every time I order a pizza from here it is great the size and value is second to none. I have not found better value for money in St Albans. Very tasty hot and delicious. Many people can complain but for £13 for a 18inch pizza it’s great. What more could you ask for a very tasty pizza every time

Halfway through eating the 20” pizza, we notice a hair on one of the slices of pizza, we immediately rang the shop they said they’ll send a driver out asap, 1 hour later the drive arrived, asking for £8 for the new pizza, where he would pay the other £8 for that pizza. I don’t understand why the shop would be charging him, and i don’t know why they were expecting to take back a full pizza. Customer service 👎🏽food was okay

Have ordered from here for many years and always been satisfied, usually delicious! However, what we received tonight is disgraceful. They obviously want to close up soon so just put the pizza in for a couple of minutes. Squidgy, wet and rancid dough! Called to complain and no refund offered despite still willing to pay for the drink and wings. You have lost our custom. (Photo for consumers use. We did pick off the ham and mushrooms so you can see how undercooked the dough is) poor show guys. Will go big chain from now on, purely for the customer service

Ordered from here for years there standards slowly dropped until I was forced to find another pizza house just tried them again a year on from my last order they delivered the wrong pizza then when I rang to say they had made a mistake he told me It was my mistake. Do not order from here go to tgf or farmhouse pizza much better

Nice and simple, Covid-secure place for take away pizza, the owner assured me that all the meat (even the ham and bacon) is completely halal, reasonably priced.

We used to order from here once a week. We ordered a pizza on Monday and it was awful but we didnt complain as we usually have good pizza from them. We ordered again saturday and the base was literally mushy with grease. We called the restaurant to complain as it was literally inedible even our five year old refused to eat it. Owner was shouting and argumentative and made out we were just after free pizza. They begrudgingly sent a new one we gave both back and ordered from somewhere else. Really poor. AVOID

I have always ordered pizza from here for the past two years , I just tried to make an order and the delivery driver is who answered who can barely speak English . I had to ring for 30 mins the service is going down hill . This is why I changed my review from 5 stars to 2 stars .

Ordered 2 pizzas, one was slightly modified with additional ingredients. Paid for it. Didn't arrive as requested. Called, and was told the ticket didn't show the additional ingredients. Was promised that next time they'll get it right. In short, AVOID. They aren't making fine dining. Its pizza and other basic junk, which can be ordered anywhere on the penny. So, find your junk venue of choice, this is not it. Their systems are $hit, their service and attitude is $hit, and the only saving grace is their pizza boxes make good kindle for a fire.

Best thing about the pizza was the crust the garlic bread was like it was made by a 1 year old the onion rings where soggy and tasteless chicken wings was rather strange... best thing I say would be the bottle of tango but you get what you expect with it.

Tried to over charge.£10pizza charged me £16..on my way out I happened to check the menu ..then only took £10. Shame on this place.At times like this over charging customers.

The last time I had a cheers pizza, I vowed never to buy again as it tasted awful and they’d put their prices right up. Having family round, we’d all been to the pub and fancied a pizza so I got a 20”. It tasted nice and no problems this time. £16 for the pizza, so much better than a 15” for £20 from Dominoes!

This is the second time we have visited. Last time (which was quite a few months back) it was to order 10 large pizzas for delivery to a kids party and the service was great. The guy running the place understood that the food had to be on time and it all arrived steaming hot. He was also good at helping me decide how much to order and did not encourage me to over order. Popped in again today to grab a delicious (£7) pizza for tea and was reminded of what a friendly service it is so though I should write a quick review.

I want to give star but i cant, before this company was so good but now with the new owners they are so rude i chaged my toppings on the website and they said very rude i cant change them! I will never order again and i will not recomend you to order!

Got to say after looking at other reviews. I popped in there today (8/10/19) ordered a 10 inch pizza with 4 toppings and a bottle of water for £7 and you get a nice pot of garlic dip as well on the side and I thought the pizza was very nice and was made with fresh dough. Yes I would visit again

Should have known better than to order from here. Meat is 99% fat. Food tastes funky - to put it politely. Please order else where, it’s cheap but not cheerful.

True dons when it comes to pizzas, the people there are proper safe and I'm a regular customer of theirs and they've been good since day 1. They're genuinely nice people if you treat them like a human being (unlike some people in these reviews) Only downside is that come of their pizzas can be a little bit greasy but for the price it ain't bad. It's pretty decent. If they work on having less grease in their pizzas they should be good to go. Other than that cheerz is pretty sick

WORST PIZZA EVER!!! Ordered veggie pizzas and had some weird green slime on it, cheese tasted horrible and off. Could’ve made better pizza at home. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Just tried to order a pizza with sides an drink, for delivery and i was told to call back on another number because my phone number is with held, which I know and have ordered from them before, I normally give them my address details on the phone. its never been a issue before, right up to the other night. However tonight the young chav sounding person taking the call has said that they don`t take orders from with held numbers. I explained that I am a reguar an have been ordering from them and I always give my details of address. he was rude an said I need to call from anther phone!! Oh well, you have just lost a loyal customer, just a note of advice to the owner of Cheerz Pizza in st albans - carefull who you employ , as they have just cost you a regular customer and will no doubt lose you more, with that attitude and rudeness. As for the chav that answred the phone just now, at 7:40pm tonight which is the 7th Feb 2018 - you know who you are, you refuse to give your name but you should not be allowed to amswer the phones and take orders anyway, you are better suited to be in the back cleaning the pots an mopping the floors you rude, unprofessional and also learn how to speak english in a manner that people understand you not street lingo or like a gangster!?, dont speak like ALI G to customers! you lack in customer service skills an are ignorant, your manager should at the very least provided you with some customer service training if not sacking you by now!!, but as I said, you belong in the back cleaning the floor! you are losing the business customers. We love the 18 inch pizza with 4 toppings of your choice for £11.99. The delivery is always prompt so make sure you're not too far away from home when you're ordering. And first and foremost the pizza tastes amazing!

Pizzas are OK, not excellent but good value for money. Better option than Papa Johns. I'd recommend they invest in more quality ingredients, like good mozzarella cheese and less salt. Even if that means charging more. For cheap, downmarket pizzas made from low quality ingredients people can always go across the road. Better to raise your game higher than the competition.

It been about 6 months since I last ordered a Cheerz Pizza from the St Albans branch. The prices have gone up for a 20" by about £4 or £5. I got a 20" delivered and to be honest, it tastes like cardboard. Nothing as good as it used to taste and I'm paying much more for it. Whats happened to Cheerz Pizza?

We ordered a 20" pizza delivery the other day and were really suprised with how good it was! Such good value and unlike other pizzas (Dominos) we have had recently it actually had plenty cheese on it and very delicious toppings! We had another one tonight and we were not dissapointed, it was fantsatic! Highly recommend Cheerz Pizza St Albans :)

Disgusting pizza - found hair strands on the pizza, cheese was definitely off, it tasted horrible. Took over an hour to arrive, the delivery guy was very rude and demanded a tip (which I refused to give after such poor service). On top of that, they missed out some of my order.

The lady I spoke to was very polite and apologetic to be fair. But the order was pretty much an hour late. And it was a worry to hear they didn't exactly know where my order was when I called.

Ordered 20" - got 18" Added 15m to the delivery time to a total of 1hr. Still mananged to be 10m late.

This is the worst place in St. Albans, especially do not recommend for any Muslims, pastas were cold and taste awful. They apparently do some halal meats but they mistakenly put beef on my pizza. They initially told me they only do halal chicken but when I saw pieces of meat which did not appear to be chicken and questioned it they decided to change and say the beef is halal aswell. So there is definitely not enough care being taken when separating meats. Pizza's just taste of grease, my wife became seriously unwell from this place. Would highly recommend to steer clear of this one!!😷😷😷
