The best restaurants in Poringland with the Framinghams South Norfolk East of England

A massive thank you to Ashley and his team for all they did to ensure our daughter and her now husband had the most wonderful wedding day. I know the weather wasn’t what we wanted but that really didn’t spoil the day. Ashley ensured the pre wedding preparations and everything on the day went perfectly and most importantly that they had the chilled, relaxed day they had wished for. Ashley’s calm, organised and flexible approach is perfect and made everyone feel everything was under control and there was no need to worry about a thing. Thank you so much

I’ve been coming here for over a year since I moved to this town. Absolutely incredible with the flavours, quality of meat and ingredients. You can tell real passion comes from them making food. Always willing to go that extra mile for you, and really reasonable price considering the portion sizes and quality. Family owned and run business and they are so friendly, all of the staff are fantastic. They have a fabulous pub too I am yet to try called the dove. By far the best Indian I have ever been to.

Disappointing evening , service very slow , bread arrived after first course . Main course long wait , only 2 other tables but serving staff no where to be seen . No response from management when concern raised , go there at your peril

Didn't want to leave this review as this Chinese has been great for alot of years but tonight was nothing but disappointing phoned up to place a order for 3 people before 7 got told they were busy and could only do 8 so we arrived to collect food on time and was told by a young lad taking orders and payment that he had no idea how long the food was going to be even though we got told 8 over a hour ago he then suggested that I could cancel the order if I pleased so i asked if it had even been started cooking i got toldit hadn't even been started so they obviously give you a time and take payment when you arrive that explains being behind so much i decided to pay and wait with it getting later and later and stood outside in the cold due to no space inside because of so many other people some had been waiting over 30 mins. More orders were being taken even though they were behind which doesn't make any sense when your so far behind i ended up getting the food over 45 mins later got home to find that one order was incorrect and another item was missed completely the rice was ovecooked and chicken was nothing but tough this is terrible after having to wait nearly a hour for food you then expect the order to be correct and the food decent when you finally get it. I phoned up and spoke to the lady there and informed her of the item missing and other issues with this order to be told that she could only give a refund for the item missed if I went back there tonight to get it as it went through the till today couldn't take it off another visit there so I had to turn out again to only get a refund for the item missed and even that was hard work so all in all food was near on a hour late order was incorrect food wasn't great and staff were poor the young lads working there found it all very funny that customers were outside in the cold waiting this is now the second time this has happened over the last three visits to this Chinese I won't be returning it's more hassle than it's worth.

An evening with friends with food from the Xmas menu.Service very good especially as they were very busy. I had sea bass followed by a fruit crumble and custard for dessert.Presentation and quality of food very good and value for money lovely friendly atmosphere hope to return again soon

Quite a shabby interior, quite slow service. Food was ok though.

The water had been cut off on our visit and we got charged for bottled water ! The food is mediocre,service reasonable but it’s one of a growing number of establishments that are only interested in taking money. The word hospitality doesn’t exist.

Very nice English pub. Now run by new management but in the traditional style. Food is first class but book or be disappointed.

Booked afternoon tea with Santa for grandchildren-lovely welcome-boys enjoyed food and drinks.Santa gave age appropriate presents.Thanks to team at Highway Nursery.Would recommend.

Booked a Christmas meal, paid a deposit of £10 each for Two courses at £24.95 each. Ordered the Christmas Roast Turkey meal and it was sad to say the least. No Yorkshire pudding, gravy was lukewarm warm and almost set. Vegetables were undercooked I couldn’t even cut the huge carrot they served. Dessert was ok, but when the bill arrived they had failed to take the deposit off, after getting the revised bill, we waited ages for someone to come back with card machine, so went to the bar to pay. Sadly, not impressed with service, food or atmosphere, we were only one of three tables in the restaurant that was almost empty, so expected the service to be better.

Do not go near this place! Ordered a take away only to find lumps of chicken in veggie korma dish. Tried several times to speak to owner who wouldn't return calls. Spoke to him two weeks later and described situation. No apology and refused refund saying that he would give me another dish! Simply not good enough. The food that was edible was pretty poor too. If you're looking for a decent Indian try Dilraj in Loddon.
