The Gull Inn in South Norfolk

The water had been cut off on our visit and we got charged for bottled water ! The food is mediocre,service reasonable but it’s one of a growing number of establishments that are only interested in taking money. The word hospitality doesn’t exist.

Two burger meals ordered Very small portions One burger still raw in middle Expected more for the money, no coleslaw or salad

Really good pub food and lovely pub. Empty on Monday night which did not do this pub justice at all. Well worth a stop for food at any time.

Impromptu stop for lunch and had a warm welcome. We had our 5 month old and were given a quiet area for her to be able to roll around on her mat and nothing was too much trouble. Great food and garden looked enticing too.

Visited on a Monday evening and it was sad to the see place to empty! The food was lovely, I had pork belly, gravy came separate as requested and they also listened to other random requests I had! Waitress was in training and she was lovely, she will do well. Good selection of food and drinks and the place was lovely and clean.

Great find after trawling reviews whilst on holiday. We booked via webpage & had confirmation within 2 hrs. We were a bit early but was not an issue We asked for ground floor table due to my dads mobility & was given . We opted for the carvery- 2 meats. Really good. No long queues- food hot & lots of vegetables & good gravy. Super size yorkshires. Staff mostly friendly- not overly sparky in some cases but it was busy. Portion good & dessert fab too! If we were local then we wld definitely be regulars! Good job!

There is not a lot we can say about The Gull, It’s just awesome!! , We have been going every Sunday for the last 3 Months and recently took our Sister who has not been out of the house for 6 months owing To the loss of both her legs. She wanted to come for Sunday lunch as we can not praise Stephen, Hui for their great hospitality that is shown every week also the professionalism of the Team Sam, Carol, Jake, And the Girls. Nothing is never too much trouble and with the Food, ambiance of The Gull this is the perfect Eatery to visit. The food is always fresh, hot and plentiful, The meat is the best we have tasted, literally melts in your mouth, The desserts are to die for, if you have room after the carvery? You may think that I have exaggerated myself, but please read the negative comments in the text they are written in, Nothing is really not to much trouble, (Respect deserves Respect), Just Ask!! We visited today for my uncles birthday. I had been before but the rest of our table of 6 hadn't. We really enjoyed our carvery. The meat was cooked to perfection. I had turkey and beef brisket, succulent. My brother had gammon, said best he's had. The Yorkshire puds were huge. Roast potatoes crispy and tasty. Cauliflower cheese so cheesy. Veg both roasted and fresh also so good. The gravy, proper meat juices. Need I say more?! We cleared our plates. Thank you for a superb Sunday lunch. We will definitely come again.

We booked a table for 2 & we weren’t disappointed. My husband had the spring roll starter & said it was really tasty. For our mains i had the Asian chicken burger…the flavours were amazing…home made bread roll was really good too. My husband had the pork noodles & said he would have that again. Cheese cake & Brownie for dessert. All in all a very enjoyable evening with amazing food. We will return.

So disappointed. Went to the Gull inn last night to see Steve Treadaway. Clairvoyant. Paid £29.95 for two courses and the ‘show’ . Food was mediocre at best. And show just didn’t happen . Steve spoke to a few people, no one could ‘connect’ . No one understood anything he said. So disappointed. Then the owner said they would refund the deposit we had paid which was 10 pounds per head . So 20 pounds was taken off the bill. But they scammed everyone there out of an additional 10 pounds per head. Terrible

Baguette and salad with a pint of cider £16.95. Not exactly value for money! A nice place but not worth the money.

We purchased our new Car 6 weeks ago and hadn’t been to the Gull for awhile as wanted to go for a drive, on Sunday was our 5 visit and now become a regular Sunday lunch treat. The food quality is exceptional with a great choice of meats and vegetables to choose from. Which ever meat you try just melts in your mouth, The cauliflower cheese is just perfect. The best deserts are the chefs cheesecake and Nana pats crumble & custard, The ambience is relaxing with a choice of eating areas, The staff have always been so friendly and professional, nothing is to much trouble, and always make your visit enjoyable. With the atmosphere, staff, hosts, and food as good as this you don’t need to travel elsewhere. We travel from Lowestoft weekly and the trip is worth taking, we both thoroughly recommend The Gull to anyone who enjoys Good Food and Drinks, Thank you Glenn & John

A carvery for Father's Day, usually i dread these events but it was superb. Every part of the meal was cooked to perfection by a dedicated chef. The staff were friendly and helpful and the venue really relaxing. We didn't take the dogs, but could have done. After the totally lush meal, we took drinks or to the garden and I dozed off to the sound of the waterfall, while the family chatted on. A really lovely experience. Highly recommend The Gull.
