Stopped in for lunch after a trip to the museum. Food was fresh and delicious, and servings were huge. As a vegan I paired the salad with garlic bread, and it was so delicious. The salad was loaded with perfectly ripe avocado and fresh greens. I also had a slice of vegan chocolate cake. The portion was very good, and the cake wasn't cloying sweet. Highly recommend!

Having dined here several times and never been disappointed, Iām sad to leave this review. The food was āokā and expected standard of a pub chain such as Wetherspoons. But, it is not Wetherspoons or their prices. The steak (medium rare) - burnt on one side, chewy and covered in salt and pepper. Not a nice flavour combination! The burgers were mediocre. Chunky, home cooked chips have been replaced with overly salted thin fries. All food was over seasoned - let your customers season their food to their liking! The atmosphere was lack lustre compared to previous visits where weāve been made to feel welcome and rapport with servers good. None of this during this visit. Such a shame as it was our āgo toā for a special meal and now is overpriced and bog standard. We wonāt visit again until reviews change and wish weād seen them before booking a table for a birthday celebration.

We had delicious toasted sandwiches (cheese & ham, and cheese & pepper), richly laden with cheese, accompanied by a toasted halloumi-topped side salad. The service was very friendly and all is cooked to order. Finished off with a couple of baklava with a tasty scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very pleasant owner and the decor is simple and unpretentious. We stopped here en route down the M11 and can recommend.

Came here tonight with my son, brother and husband. We had a lovely time, the bar lady and the owner were both friendly and welcoming, my son has additional needs and was really chuffed he was allowed to play swingball and was given some ice pops! Its genuinely nice pub, glorious pizza! Friendly doggos too that enjoyed all the pets! I do think some of the recent bad reviews are terribly enough with all the things the pub's owners have gone through last year and this year, people need to be kind!

I was greeted by "we don't cater for gluten free diets". Fortunately my husband was not with me, I was out with a friend. After discussing the low risk of cross contamination for me, I was offered two main course options and a dessert. Food was good and well presented. We had to go to the bar to remind them to take our order, again to ask for a desert and again to ask for the bill. At no time were we offered another drink, such a shame as sales across the bar must be really poor. Why don't staff get trained in good service anymore š«¤
