We had delicious toasted sandwiches (cheese & ham, and cheese & pepper), richly laden with cheese, accompanied by a toasted halloumi-topped side salad. The service was very friendly and all is cooked to order. Finished off with a couple of baklava with a tasty scoop of vanilla ice cream. Very pleasant owner and the decor is simple and unpretentious. We stopped here en route down the M11 and can recommend.

We were wanting breakfast and saw the sign outside, which prompted our visit. The breakfast was lovely and we got chatting with the owner, who was very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The setting was beautiful and this place should really be enjoyed on a bright warm day, where the river can be appreciated. The setting is beautiful and you could enjoy a lovely relaxed lunch, whilst the children enjoy the play equipment. Would recommend and will be back

The toasties we had were very bland and my wife's had hardly any cheese in it. For what we got we felt the quality was poor and it was overpriced. The coffee was fine.

A great stopover & a much nicer place to take a break from a journey than a motorway service station. Outside seating is also available The cafe is in a lovely complex of small businesses with plenty of free parking and a childrens playground.

I’m gluten free so called the cafe a few days before and the man running it said he’d buy some gluten free bread for my visit. Thats going over and above! I sat by the water with my friend. We both had toasties and a side of fries which were delicious. The staff were very friendly too. The site is being developed and looks like a really quirky set of shops, a tee pee area, a cool old bus and ‘possibly’ a campsite or lodges coming in the future. Recommend!!

We stopped here for a coffee. This is a very welcoming family run cafe. The homemade baklava is outstanding. The service is excellent. It is well worth seeking out if you want to stop for coffee or a meal.

What a great find at Ickleton Barns! Relaxing area with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking a lovely pond and surrounded by local independent businesses. We have had a wonderful lunch of omelette (cooked to order & the best I’ve ever had), freshly made sandwiches, burgers, chips and tasty Backlava with coffee - served by friendly chef, Dennis and his lovely wife, Akten. We will definitely be back!

We had a much waited Sister catch up on Thursday at The Riverside Barns. Completely out the way of any busy road (even tho you can hear it behind it) Eldest Sister found out about it as her Hair Dresser moved down to the site. It is a lovely little quaint place near a pond with seating outside the Cafe & just to sit near the Pond. Plenty of other little out lets to look in also. Food was very good. All cooked fresh & the Lady & Gentleman vey nice. Topped of by a Lovely Sunny Day.

We always have a lovely breakfast when ever we visit the riverside cafe and after having not been since before the first lock down, we were not disappointed today! My husband asked for his bacon extra crispy and they cooked it to perfection. I had beans on toast and somehow the most simple of dishes tasted incredible! Really lovely polite service and just such a lovely outdoor place to relax on a Saturday morning! Also had a brilliant time exploring all the little shops in the barns. Highly recommend.

Great location and good range of food. Recommend the chilli made on site by Denis the owner and chef. During summer its a great location by the small lake. We eat here every Friday and are never disappointed.

Visited for lunch and WOW!! Decided on the omelette and it was the nicest one I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and full of my chosen fillings. Asked for a glass of water and it came in a lovely decorated bottle straight from the fridge - lovely touch!!

Booked a Sunday lunch for 2. Good service and the food was excellent. The only observation was that I could have done with a little more meat but that didn’t spoil the meal at all. Loads of vegetables and cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soft. All washed down with a splendid pint. It’s not the cheapest but it’s not the most expensive and I’d say you get good value for the cost. Very much recommend a visit.
