Incredible food…truly authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. The service was very good, low key but still attentive which I like. The waiter/ maitre d’ had to verify my daughter’s age, with ID which was awkward because she wasn’t carrying anything but they were so polite and apologetic, handled the whole thing with discretion and respect ( luckily we found a photo of her passport!) It was early evening, pre theatre, so the atmosphere was a little quiet, but I’m sure it’s livelier after 19:00. Highly recommend

Had drinks in the bar beforehand as arrived earlier than what our table was booked for. Really good service and ambiance. The food was excellent, tried things we haven’t had before and all our dishes were extremely tasty and well presented. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. A nice alternative to get away from the fast-food chains surrounding the square. A perfect first date and or business setting for those looking for something a little more up market.

Delicious food / helpful and friendly staff / excellent environment

It was our first time at the Leicester Square Kitchen, early on Saturday evening following the matinee of a play. The pre-theatre menu had a good choice of food and was very reasonably priced. The portions were generous and the food was interesting and very tasty, quite spicy but not overpowering.

I was pleasantly surprised when this restaurant was available for a short notice booking (as all other ones, near Piccadilly, were fully booked!). We liked its atmosphere, staff was very helpful and polite, Set Menu was good enough for us to enjoy it, and the main thing!!! - music sound was at a lower level, giving you opportunity to talk and not shout, as it usually happens in other restaurants! We will definitely visit this restaurant again when the occasion happens. Thank you very much!

Overdone in many ways. Music too loud (even the waitress struggled to make herself heard over it); food very hyped in flavour; portion sizes far too big for the amount recommended for ordering; service was hit-and-miss- the waitress was very good and kept us informed, but the kitchen seemed to struggle to get the food out in a timely way so we were left waiting for more half an hour with no food at one point. Very costly meal out as well (£150 for the recommended food options - 3 small plates, 2 large plates, 2 sides with 2 cocktails, 1 beer and glass of sparkling water between two people). Unlikely to return.

Excellent choice of Peruvian and Mexican dishes, beautifully presented and prepared. Very good service. Will certainly go again.

OpenTable allowed me to book the terrace but we turned up and that was closed. The restaurant was also just about empty at 2pm for our late lunch. No matter, the service was great and the food was fantastic. Will be back.

Eating at Leicester Square Kitchen is always a pleasure. Not only the staff is very welcoming but also you get to taste to the finest Mexican and Peruvian cuisine. Having eaten at Peter Street Kitchen in Manchester we were keen to try LSK , we came to celebrate my daughter's birthday . The overall service was not great , food being served when plates from previous dishes were still on the table , no one was really attentive to see if all was ok or if we needed anything, I felt like we were constantly asking for something , drinks , missing food items etc. Food however was 10/10 , no complaints at all , food was as good here as it is in Manchester. The restaurant manager probably needs to ensure there are enough staff on duty and to make sure they pay attention to their guests.

A nice restaurant to share food with friends. Sónia and her staff provided us with a wonderful evening. Janet, the lovely waitress, took good care of us. If you enjoy spicy food for sharing, this is the place to be.

Would not recommend. Staff were rude and had no interest in engaging with us. They didn’t explain menus to us, as in no sides came with dinner so our dinners simply came out as chicken with nothing else. We ordered a bottle of wine & they tried to serve us an open bottle with wine already served from it. We had to ask for a replacement bottle. Beautiful location, expensive menu but to be expected where the restaurant is.

We had an amazing meal - the food was so tasty, we enjoyed everything! Great support regarding gluten free as well. Drinks service was a little slow.

Table booked for 05.00pm for our party of 4, going on to the theatre later. We arrived on time and were shown to our table. We decided on the pre-theatre 3 course menu and service was great, took our orders and were very attentive with drinks and water. First course arrived in good time and was delicious. By this time the restaurant was beginning to get really busy and unfortunately for us the level of service nose dived. The final 2 courses took an age to arrive after continual requests to the staff. We finally left the restaurant at 06.50pm leaving us with a frantic walk to the theatre. The food was lovely but they simply did not have enough staff on to deal with the quantity of customers.

Pre Theatre menu- we were happy with the selection available. Crispy duck and pomegranate particularly agreeable as a starter. Service very attentive. Good ambience for mid- week. Restaurant presented a happy birthday plate as it was a special occasion.

Picked this for convenience as staying in hotel but meeting up with friends. Food is excellent, plenty of variety dishes to choose from and the portions are decent for sharing tapas - in particular beef skewers and calamari were good. Service was good and fairly chilled for a place right on Leicester Square, but the only disappointment was we missed a final round of cocktails to round the night off because the bar closed at 11am for cocktails (disappointing for a central London hotel)

A good place for pre-theater dinner and drinks. Very clean and a great central location on the square. Food was spicy - in a good way. We had the sparerib tacos, cauliflower and panko encrusted chicken with a few glasses of win.

Service was excellent. We started with guacamole and nachos which were delicious and not overly spicy. We ordered several small but delicious plates including tomato ceviche, street corn, steak and spicy hot asparagus (I loved the heat but my partner didn’t). Dessert we shared the dulche de leche bunuelo which was warm and sweet. Delightful staff and delicious food.

A brilliant evening, really tasty food with a nice mix of half and half menu, Mexican and Peruvian dishes. We left very well fed having enjoyed some really tasty dishes. Th service wasn't the quickest at points but they were very accommodating when we informed them of a deadline to get to a show. I would go back again for the food and ambience. Bonus the wine was great and the Picante was a real treat. They did a nice Macaroon for a birthday surprise.

Great food, efficient service. Onlybug bear was booked a month in advance & had table in front of service stand puked with dirty dishes not best outlook.

Ambience of the place is fabolous, but, the food nothing out of the ordinary. Not that many gluten free options, although they tried to change some of the plates in the menu, but if you are looking for a gluten meal, not ideal. Definitely not a Mexican / Peruvian experience. Asked for two glasses of wine which came as a dessert. Overall good experience but not coming back.

This is a hotel restaurant and they started setting other tables up for breakfast the next day while we were still having dinner. The bar closes at 2300 hrs so after dinner we were asked to go to the adjacent lounge bar… which closed at 2300 hrs too. Good food, bad set-up

I come regularly to meet friends in the west end for dinner. Probably too often as I should try other things but the food and ambience are too good. The only issue is that it is a little pricey (but not excessive) - compared say to a good Italian restaurant. May only seem like that as I am not a banker…. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely place, relaxed stylish vibe, great food - and sweet service, who knew exactly which dishes I could have/ which not, considering my intolerances.

We’d booked for lunch but ended up going back for dinner instead as it was very quiet, literally just a couple of tables dining and we wanted an atmosphere. Dinner time was much better with chilled house music playing and a buzzy atmosphere. Service was great and the food excellent however if you don’t like spicy food don’t go! Every dish was pretty hot, even the corn on the cobs but I’m sure if you asked, they’d make it more mild. We just didn’t know how spicy it would be however it was still very tasty and we enjoyed it. I haven’t been to London in a year but it seems everywhere is adding 15% service charge, even for 2 people! I found it such a spoiler to the end of a good night as despite liking the service we got, I don’t like being dictated to that I need to pay 15% on what is already expensive for what you get (even though I’m aware of London prices of course). When I said we’d like to leave our own amount they said it’s 15% or nothing, they couldn’t change it. It just causes such an awkward scene that I wish they (everywhere in London) reminded themselves we’re not in the US and tipping in the UK is at the guests discretion. Apart from this though, you will enjoy tasty Peruvian food in the heart of London’s west end.

Excellent service where nothing was a problem . All the staff from the bar tenders tThe maitre’ d , and the waiters were amazing , kind helpful and extremely polite and efficient ! They were attentive yet discreet . theybappreaped when we needed them . food was good and really enjoyed the 3 course Mel . next time Inwould try some other dishes.

The food was great honestly, I loved almost all the dishes. I didn't love the prices though, the pictures don't accurately depict the portion sizes and you might be left feeling high and dry. Order lots to feel full and get dessert too

The food gives an interesting twist on familiar dishes, but we found some of the spice too overpowering. Also we can’t understand why mains are unaccompanied nor that sides are not on the fixed price 3 course menu.

Overall was good, the food was tasty but the shrimp were the best. The place is beautiful, good ambience, good drinks and very modern. The service definitely can benefit from attention to the guests, the place wasn’t busy and this is why I highlight this part. The food, was ok, but now I understand that is in a trust area, so it explains a lot.

Ideal for groups and people who enjoy having a little bit of everything. Highlights were definitely the calamari, fish taco and street corn. Fantastic flavours and beautiful plates. The calamari was light, crispy and packed a great punch, highly recommend. The sliders were a perfect sharing size with three pieces and two perfect bites each. Everything myself and my partner had was spicy but not overwhelmingly so, and packed full of great taste. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also delicious. Service was great and we were definitely looked after. Personally the only let down was dessert, but that’s personal preference, they would suit others, beautifully presented though. All in all a great spot, fun atmosphere and fantastic food.

Genuinely the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. The staff were very welcoming and lovely throughout. The location is smack bang in the middle of leicester square. Nice music, not too loud and we could have a conversation no problem. Cocktails were delicious and fresh. Now....the food!!!! OUTSTANDING. I can not fault any of the dishes we had. The meat all fell off the bone and was delicious. The calamari was hands down the best I have ever tasted. Even the corn on the cob was mouth watering! I cannot wait to go back!

The food and set up for our group of 15 was great and a relatively good value for money. The main let down was how slow the service was. It felt like they didn't want to take our order and a lot of them were not knowledgeable. That was a slight shame but other than that, I was pleasantly surprised.

Took 30 minutes for a drinks order, 1 hour for food order to be taken. Staff just seemed to ignore us and wouldnt serve us if they 'weren't our server', would go off to find our server and they never then came. Such slow service that it ruined the meal, weren't even fully booked table-wise when we sat to eat. food was brilliant but really let us down. even getting the bill was hard !

I have been here twice now and have really enjoyed myself as well as my partner. The food is good as well as the cocktails. I wish the menu had more optioned, not loads more choice but maybe an additional page. The food is very good and well prepared and presented. I am not a fan of guacamole but I love theirs, very tasty. I would recommend to friends for sure. This is a trend, romantic place which is overall enjoyable environment. The staff were smiley, pleasant and professional for both visits our visits.

Good quality tasty food. Small portions were not an issue. Service was poor as we were not offered more drinks during the meal and they brought out the main course before clearing the previous course. Had the ribs which were great and would have expected a bowl for cleaning fingers or some wipes. Overall very good for what is a hotel restaurant. Would definitely go again.

The food was good enough - limited options for sides - my partner was hungry as the portions weren't that big! It's spicy so you need to factor that in. Service was great, it is a noisy place but great views of London Leicester Square. Good for pre theatre eats.

Absolutely love this place. Food tasty and right portion sizes. Service; attentive, friendly, super hygiene. Place marvellous. Price for food fair, for cocktails (as it’s mostly ice) & wine a pit steep. Overall we’ll be going again. It’s a lovely enjoyable experience.

Some of the most incredible food I've had at a restaurant in many many years. Service was also amazing - our waiter Athul recommended some dishes and explained the menu to us clearly before we proceeded to order. Brilliant service.

This is a lovely place to eat whilst visiting Leicester square, especially maybe for a special occasion. They have special set menus too. Caters for all dietary requirements. Their cocktails are brilliant. The food can be quite spicy so perhaps if you don't like strong tastes may not be for you.

Have been here a few times as we love the small plates of tasty dishes. This visit the service was not up to par. Drinks took a long time to come and when chased we were told the bar man was too busy making cocktails - we were waiting on glasses of wine! An apology would have been better than this excuse, if cocktails are popular have enough bar staff, shouldnt have to wait 15 minutes for a glass of wine to be poured.

Really good food and service. Service was a little slower when it became really busy but overall we had a great time and it was good to have plenty of people to create a good atmosphere compared to many restaurants around that were noticeably empty on a Thursday evening.

We thought the food was really overprized. For us it was too hot/spicy and we asked if the maincourse could be less spicy. Yes, they could do that, but then we got three plain chicken skrewers with half a lemon. So either it is very spicy and if you don't want that, you get no flavour at all. Staff was very friendly.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Went for the pre-theatre menu which was good value for money, but if you don't like chilli, don't eat here, it was in every dish. Some a bit too hot for our party. Also a bit of an issue with the pre-theatre menu because you could choose either 2 or 3 courses and some people in our small party wanted starter and main and others main and sweet and we were told by the waiter this was not possible. However the Manager said it was possible and we were given what we requested, but it was not a good start to our evening meal.

I wanted to book somewhere new for my husband and I on our date night last night, I looked at trip advisor and the reviews on this place don’t lie! Beautiful decor, great service. Food was exceptional and very reasonable!! We enjoyed the tacos, nachos, Peruvian skewers… it was all amazing. We have already told our friends about it!!

The service is very slow. All plates are sharing even the main meat plates, but they don’t come together so if you don’t want to share you have to eat alone and they other watch you and have to wait. The food was good quality but everything was really spicy. If you sit in the front part each time the door will open you will feel the cold air flow. The waiters are very friendly and the place is nice but the whole concept isn’t really structured.

As vegetarians, there was enough choice on the menu but probably not quite enough to have a different selection if you were to return. Super location for Leicester Square and Theatreland. A return trip after an outstanding experience in July when we were looked after by the fabulous Natalia, this time Jannat was the star of the show who really made us feel welcome both on arrival and when checking on us multiple times during the evening. We were not served by Natalia this time but a gentleman who seemed really busy and the way Jannat doubled up to support him showed a real team atmosphere. Top marks. The food again was outstanding. Will definitely go back again and hope to be looked after by both Jannat and Natalia next time.

They charged me £50 for a meal that was not eaten. They weren't able to accommodate anything for my son who didn't like the set menu despite me asking and then charged me full amount for food he didn't even eat. Food was nice but service was poor.

They took a booking for 8pm but last order was 8.15. How does that make sense ?
