We only came here because the Barleycorn was holding a private function or something, but glad we did! The food is fairly modest pub grub, but done very well. Served hot and with some of the best chips this side of the Granta. I can heartily recommend the pie. Desserts such as sticky toffee pudding are generally something one can rely on in most pubs, and there was no exception here. Decent beer, too.

Really lovely pub that we stumbled across by chance after taking a break from the motorway. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We both had the steak and ale pie, which was huge and delicious. Sadly we were too full to try the desserts. Maybe next time. Would definitely recommend.

Good, traditional village pub, very welcoming. Just 3 minutes from J10, M11. Staff are very friendly and we were served promptly. Our waitress was very sympathetic and helpful with my wife's dietary requirements (i.e. gluten and dairy free). Good selection of drinks. Family group of 6 + 1 border terrier. We visit this pub usually once a year on our way to Suffolk as it's a handy stop. Yet again it lived up to expectations. The food is all homemade and takes time to come out but is always worth the wait. We had great lasagnes and also the homemade chicken pie which is full of chicken and veg , and also a great steak and ale pie. All are reasonably priced and we treated ourselves to the sticky toffee pudding with lots of custard which was out of this world. The staff as ever were super friendly and they have a great choice of beers , all at around £4.40 a pint , The Everards Tiger as ever was excellent.

Your typical quaint english pub that does a beautiful Sunday roast! Parking was plenty outside, the pub itself with its inner wood beams and electric fireplace and decor was lovely! Everything felt cozy, warm and inviting. The hosts/landlady/staff all lovely and helpful. I saw 3 dogs inside, all well behaved and friendly The roast its self was gorgeous, i had the chicken and stuffing option while my partner had the special lamb shank. Both were beautifully served and tasted amazing, no fault at all

Had tea tonight what a treat lovely wholesome food, fully satisfied with the dishes served steak and Ale pie and the special of the day. No room for dessert sadly. Staff very happy, smiles and made us feel welcome as a visitor to the area.Accommodating, with " walk in" (we didn't book a table) unlike another local pub The JB. Thank you very much to Lucy who was kind and helpful and polite who was able to find us a table and wait on us with her colleague Ava. The food which was ordered arrived in a timely fashion and piping hot and was good value for money. Lucy deserves a pay rise (hint hint). The pub was full with customers which clearly indicates how popular it is in Duxford. Don't miss this absolute Gem; we will visit again if we return to the area in the future.

Took ages to place our order, mushrooms on sourdough as advertised was mushrooms on a slice of thick white supermarket bread, chicken and chorizo pie was microwaved to death, so much so couldn't taste the chorizo. LL's scampi was cold. Staff kept telling us what a bad night they were having, friendly enough but we weren't offered more drinks at any point after the ones we got at the bar. When we did get more drinks previous empties left on our very small table. Could do a lot better

Entry is into the pub (standing only) and pub seating area. Around to the left of the bar is the eating area. Think pub food. The fish and chips was traditional and the waitress most accommodating although we showed up without a dinner reservation. Located just around the corner from The Lodge it’s an easy walk.

Chose this place based on the good reviews, and all I can say is those people must have terribly low standards. Took a good 20-25 mins for someone to take our order and a further 25 mins to get our starters. When we asked about the soup of the day, the response was "tomato....nothing special". Much like the rest of the dining experience as it turned out. Mushrooms on toast was literally that....a bunch of mushrooms dumped on a slice of toasted basic white bread from a supermarket own loaf. No airs. No graces. No flavour. As for the main, well it was tepid at best. I have given 3 stars because the service was friendly, but overall, my experience was disappointing. Would not recommend.

We booked for Sunday lunch as a halfway point between us and our son’s family. We’d usually swap the children over at Cambridge services but decided here instead. We arrived a little early but it wasn’t a problem. We all had the roast dinner including the children and we went disappointed. The meat was lovely & the veg perfect! Our son works for a big food supply company and even said how lovely it was commenting specifically on the gravy! Being ‘northerners’ we do like our Sunday roasts and this was highly enjoyable today. Will definitely be back (instead of the services 😂) a great little old fashioned pub just off the A11 (I think)
