Great service and really friendly, happy staff. We tried a bit of everything, toasties, cakes, coffee's and their ice cream. The unicorn gelato was particularly tasty with cookies and cream and the sorbet was very refreshing. Love going to the community cafés over Costa and Starbucks, this one was 5's across the board. Thank you so much

The Geographer is not the typical cafe. They struggle to serve great coffee from organic or conscious coffee roasters in fully compostable bags and cups. The rocky road sweets are tremendous and the european bakery is awesome. They offer fresh bread from a local bread maker called Fitzbillies. The staff is great and accomodations in the outside are superb. Of course, mind the weather, since there is no rain cover available.

My husband and I had a coffee at this cafe this morning, and also purchased laundry detergent. 'Discrete' conversation and glances from the staff from the kitchen area made me feel uncomfortable. Indeed, I suspect that staff felt my cloth bag might have contained items I did not pay for....as one of the members of staff, perhaps the owner, was leaving the cafe this morning, I emptied the contents of said cloth bag onto the floor. Thus, it was clear there was nothing in there except my own belongings and the detergent I had purchased. Members of staff have no need to be on guard...I do not shoplift, and I will not ever visit this cafe again. It is clearly a cafe for British people only.Dr and Mrs D-H BSc MPhil (Cantab)

Las papas al horno se deben comer de un plato imo.Servicio amable y rápido. Los pasteles y sándwiches se veían bien. Un montón de stock para navegar.

As a regular visitor to The Geographer I am appalled by the way a colleague has been treated today. The owner of The Geographer approached my colleague trying to enforce her to remove a bad tripadvisor review she previously wrote. I work in the area and regularly take clients to the cafe for business purposes. I won't be stepping foot back in the cafe and won't recommend them to anyone. The attitude and customer service of the owners is appalling and I personally think they should be embarrassed about the way they speak to clientele.

We have gone passed many times. Inside is quite 'cosy' and I did wonder if I should take off my shoes and leave them outside. Mother had breakfast tea, fine, and I an Americano. My Americano had little flavour and must have been machine made using a sachet - not how I like it. We had a selection of cakes and they were all amazing 10/10. The raspberry franzipan was perfect - the polar opposite of a Mr Kipling. Definately worth visiting. The lunch menu looks basic but I am sure that it is very nice - maybe we'll try that next time.

Very expensive (£12.65 for a jacket potato with coleslaw and salad, a large black coffee and a sausage roll). The large coffee came out as 8oz... Small in comparison to other outlets. Had to ask for more water and was told "it's quite a weak blend". Food arrived quickly during lunch time (microwaved potato, small side salad) and tasted reasonable. Coleslaw was good but did not justify the expense. Coffee was as weak as gnats pee. Just because you're a quaint little deli that sells expensive jams and pickles does not mean you can charge over the top for what was, essentially, a lacklustre meal. I won't be returning. Edit... Assuming that the response was to indicate I don't know coffee, as manager of an independent coffee shop with its own blend of beans, I'm very much aware. When you are trying to emulate Paul's Delicatessen, back it up. Obviously, still not returning...

Came in for lunch and was horrified with the prices. £7.50 for a jacket potato, 2 fillings. The potato was the size of an apple and we couldn’t find the cheese. They wanted £2 for a can of drink and a measly small pot of tea was given us for £3.75. I asked the staff if the sizing was normal and was told to give feedback if I didn’t like it! So here you have it. My friend had a couple of shavings of cheese on his potato, so I asked for some more and was told it had probably melted! No, it hadn’t. Unless it melted through the table. I found my butter portion in its wrapper wedged underneath my toppings and squished into my beans.

Myself & my friends popped into The Crown at Litlington. The moment we walked in the door there was a frosty, Hostile feel, for everyone to turn around and stare. We were then welcomed by the rather gruff Landlady/Barmaid, without even saying anything demanded to see my ID (i.e hello) even though I have visited this pub before. I have never been asked to see my ID even though I am 29 years old. I mistakenly forgot my ID, I had lemonade which was presented in a pint glass. At this point the atmosphere was still poor, so me & my friends decided to leave. Which was ashame as all local pubs seem to be struggling in the current economy climate and you would think a small local pub, would be happy for the customers and make you feel welcome and want to stay there. For this reason, me & my friends won’t be returning.
