Try to visit in good weather to fully appreciate the wonderful herb garden. A multitude of varieties, and associated scent. Sit outside and appreciate the simple, but well made menu, or just enjoy a pot of tea or a coffee. Purchase some locally grown and produced fruit based products. Also take advantage of the beautiful cakes on offer.

Very friendly and welcoming coffeeshop. The bakery offering greets you and theres a small farm shop area. The lunch menu was limited but what they had was delicious. Quality over quantity. 🤗 They had a hot chocolate menu and have to say I enjoyed the best hot chocolate Ive ever had. I took away the coffee for later which was also very good. I had the french brie salad which was delicious and filling. The breakfast menu looked amazing but unfortunately I arrived shortly after. Wasn’t dissatisfied with what I chose those. My friend had the sandwich which gave a choice of bread, filling and condiment. It also looked delicious. Would come again. The cakes were fantastic and we had those later. The best bit was the friendly atmosphere and the staff looked like the genuinely enjoyed serving us which is rare to find these days.

I’ve only tasted your Montys English mustard, and sadly it was not up to scratch. A reformulation is in order as it was rather tasteless and had an unpleasant lumpy texture. Do you carry out taste tests outside of work ? And do you compare to many other popular mustards. It’s important to get English mustard spot on, especially in Norfolk.

Was recommended to us, whilst visiting this area. We were not disappointed. The establishment is really light and airy, with an added bonus of being able to see the kitchen and the chutneys being made on the premises. We were greeted and seated as we walked through the door, to be left with a menu, after explaining a few changes to items that day. There were plenty of choices, but not too many, even so I had trouble making my mind up. From sandwiches to light lunches. I settled for a ploughmans and my husband had a lovely pancake filled with goats cheese, beetroot and garnished with a salad. We also brought some of the mustards, jams and marmalade made there, having spoken with one of the owners, who gave us an overview of the Old Dairy and its products. This was an added bonus and of great interest. (Maybe another time we should try the breakfasts, as these too have been recommended.)

£10.30 for a ploughman's, which was 1/4 of an apple, 6 small pieces of a baguette (not the baguette as per menu), 3 bits of celery, 4 onions and a pork pie (No sausage rolls were available) The price is not the issue its the lack of portions and a plate is better than a roof slate. Staff were busy, unfortuately there were many cyclists wearing lycra, after they had their pot of tea they were parading around looking to use the facilites with their daft shoes tap dancing on the hard floors. Put us off returning ever again.......

The worst service ever. The staff here pride themselves in ignoring customers. When we went in we were told there wasn't a table, what the young lady meant was a table was full of dirty crockery and she couldnt be bothered to clean it. She was told by a colleague to clear the table and we sat at it. Then after being ignored for almost 20 minutes we were served. When you get a hot drink at The Old Dairy you always have to ask for a tea spoon. Why does this always happen. The trouble is the Cafe is staffed by youngsters who have no work or service ethic. Ive had this experience too many times now I will not be using the place again. The food is excellent.

Positive reviews seem to focus on breakfast, but my visit was for lunch. Not much choice on the menu and not very exciting. Main complaint is the portion size which was really poor. My sandwich was tiny, served on something no bigger than a saucer with a teaspoon of salad. Scones were rock hard and only saving grace was the home made jam. Staff were friendly but service was hit and miss. I know businesses are working under COVID conditions but now is the time to make more of an effort to get customers back. Everything was just lacking sadly.

Food excellent, not any grease in side and the poached eggs were first class. Highly recommend 2 poached eggs on large portabello mushroom with bacon and grilled tomatoes. Will go back and thank you for making me feel so safe. Where I sat on the bbq table on the lawn at the front the nearest table was 4o to 50 foot away from me.

I've been here on quite a few occasions now and never been disappointed. I have only ever had their English breakfast - it's so good i haven't got around to trying any thing else! Good quality food does make all the difference, the Dairy Cafe is up there with the best. The atmosphere is cracking, especially on a sunny summers day. Kids have plenty to do here with all the facilities and i'd recommend a walk around the waterside after your food. I've started plenty of days off here on a proper breakfast, but the Maize makes it a day out as well. Well worth the drive.

This cafe was delightful. We happened upon The Old Dairy while exploring the countryside on a "Bank Holiday" . There was a MaizeMaze that was full of happy children. We were traveling with a 1 year old so we just stopped for lunch. The paella was excellent however being from the states I wasn't accustomed to head on shrimp. We also had a pita with farmer salad and hummus. It was supposed to come with falafel but since they were out it came with yummy sausage. The tomato basil soup was thick and hearty. We had a wonderful lunch and I hope I get a chance to go back.
