The best restaurants in Rochford Rochford East of England

Awesome food. Unfortunately, it took nearly an hour to prepare it, which was surprising due to there being just a few customers. The outdoor seating area could do with a serious clean-up. There was rubbish dumped around the place, which was starting to produce some unpleasant odours.

Went last night for a family meal, for the anniversary of my dads death. Food and service excellent

The Monsoon restaurant (Rochford) is consistently the best Indian in Essex for me and my extended family. Not only is the food outstanding the cost too is minimal in my humble opinion. 5*

Haven’t eaten there in years, had food tonight and the service was unbelievably friendly & the food was possibly the best fish and chips along with chicken that I’d probably say is better then kfcs and any other chicken shop I’ve had it from! The chips was faultless A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have drunk in this pub many times in my past and my recent visit was good to see not many changes. I was pleasantly surprised by the price of a pint of my favourite cider. Will definitely be returning

Food was decent but ridiculously small portion. £14.90 for medium lamb shish and extra salad. They forgot the salad but dropped it off to us. Will not be going there again

The room we stayed in, is looking tired, shame really as it would be a beautiful place to get married. Also when we stayed it was windy, and everytime the wind was blowing a pipe outside was rattling and waking my wife and myself up.

Nice pub, good pub grub, and tge range of drinks is also very good.

Normally we love this restaurant but our experience tonight was so disappointing. So much so it’s put us off going back. We love the fact we can say to the owner that we’re happy for him to make recommendations and choose our food. Usually he loves the opportunity to bring us dishes we’ve never tried and we love this. Tonight the owner was in a foul mood and point blank refused saying he might bring us something we don’t like. We explained that it’s our choice but he was very rude and just said no. Then when we went to order he contested all our choices and said we should choose other dishes! It put such a downer on what should have been a lovely meal out with my husband so sorry Great Wall we won’t be returning.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE. IVE LOST MONEY AS THEY ARE SHUT BUT STILL TAKING MONEY ON THE WEBSITE. Phone not connected so went down tonsee where my delivery order was and it's shut down (apparently a passer by said this)

Very warm and welcoming entrance from deco to greeting from staff. No waiting around had booked and was seated quickly. Front of house staff super friendly and efficient with delivery of all courses and followed up with asking if we were happy with our meals.We had three course meals from the main menu. Arrived hot and very well presented. Food thoroughly enjoyed by myself and family. I have recommended to friends and family.

I went to the taste of raj this week. To sit in and have a meal. The staff are very polite and helpful but that is where it stops!! The restaurant was extremely hot and it was making me feel ill. But the food came I order chicken dansk and a mushroom bhaji. Both dishes very extremely hot!!!! I was struggling to eat it. I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and never had this problem before. It must be under new management as I didn't know any of the staff!! The food came really quickly and wee were the only ones in there!! I couldn't finish the meal as I wasn't feeling well. In the middle of the night I started getting aches and pains all over my body. I had excruciating stomach pains. I have had this situation since I went in there. It's now new years eve (my birthday) I have spent to whole day in bed. I now have a extremely upset tummy. Finding it hard to get out of bed. I now believe I have food poisoning. I have never been so ill. It's ruined my birthday plans. I paid cash!!! I will never go here again and I certainly don't recommend it anyone
