The best restaurants in Thorpe Hamlet Norwich East of England

Very nice brewery pub, within walking distance of Norwich City stadium. They have a lot of tasty beers, and the freshly baked pizzas are also highly recommended.

We walk into the city weekly, the departure lounge is always our first stop. The main reason is, in my opinion it’s the best coffee in the city. We do not eat often but the food we have had is always good The current owner is a nice guy who always chats .

The best haddock ^chips & curry sauce I've had in a very long time. I enjoyed it so much I ate it all before even thinking of taking a photo. I will add pics next time.

After watching a frustrating draw at Carrow Road, I wanted something more substantial to eat before heading back to the Travelodge - I didn’t want biscuits or a savoury snack from a local shop! By chance Sall’s Lokma was on the journey back - which was very fortunate for me. I ordered a chicken wrap with chips from a varied menu that included burgers, wraps and vegetarian food. (There was also a wide selection of sweets and beverages.) The scrumptious chicken wrap was clearly the best I have had in years; solidly filled with chicken, fresh vegetables and coleslaw. The chips were chunky and delicious. All of which, was served on a wooden platter. I could have eaten inside but it was the first warm night of the year, so I ate the wrap on one of the tables outside. The whole experience was well worth the money, unlike the football game. So I think I’ll try a sweet and coffee after the next game before catching the train home.

Just had madras, korma, pilau, onion bhajee and peshwari naan delivered from here nice and early on a Saturday. Absolutely delicious. Best naan I've ever had from a takeaway. Madras was hot and flavourful, not just hot. Wife said korma was best she's ever had from takeaway too. We will be coming back! Thanks for a delicious meal.

Located in Elm Hill part of Norwich not far from St.Andrews Hall. I think they are only open Thu,Fri and Sat nights this time of year, so best check. The food was excellent and so much so we even had dessert. Starter of home made haddock coupons were excellent. Had the main course of beef cheek, which was so tasty and tender. The wife had lamb shoulder and that was very good also For dessert I had spiced apple crumble. Plenty of selection on wine and beers to cover most tastes. We will certainly go back.

A very mixed experience having takeaway hot food and sushi. The place itself seems clean, inviting, and friendly enough service when it's quiet. Our food however really did disappointment, we have had a lot of sushi and this was not worth the cost. After ordering the omakase we realised we should have asked for no cephalopods (more on a moral basis) but in reality the squid and octopus were inedible. The rest of the fish was OK, definitely not as fresh as it should be. All other food portions were quite small, mid flavour, no seasoning. Would like to try the food once more to give them another chance, but won't be doing so in a hurry.

Incredible people and breakfast - love the way they ask you to build your own breakfast. Amazing ambience with lovely hosts. Highly recommend as the first morning stop when in Norwich :)

I brought my parents here last night, it wasn't my first time going but it was for them. The staff made sure they knew exactly how it all worked and were very attentive throughout our meal. We were asked various times throughout if everything was OK and if we needed anything. The food is delicious, and you can order chips for the tablet as well, and grab extras from a salad stand. Plenty of rounds of meat brought to us, so much so that we very quickly had to start turning them away! You will definitely not leave here hungry, and for a set price you cannot go wrong! I would 100% recommend this place for meat lovers, and they also offer vegetarian dishes as well. Will absolutely go back willingly. Thank you to all staff who make it run so smoothly and efficiently!

Typical Irish pub, good atmosphere

Didn't eat there as it was Xmas day. Great selection of beer. Trendy pub with quirky customers. Just my kind of pub. Would love to visit again on a 'normal' day.
