Sall's Lokma in Norwich

After watching a frustrating draw at Carrow Road, I wanted something more substantial to eat before heading back to the Travelodge - I didn’t want biscuits or a savoury snack from a local shop! By chance Sall’s Lokma was on the journey back - which was very fortunate for me. I ordered a chicken wrap with chips from a varied menu that included burgers, wraps and vegetarian food. (There was also a wide selection of sweets and beverages.) The scrumptious chicken wrap was clearly the best I have had in years; solidly filled with chicken, fresh vegetables and coleslaw. The chips were chunky and delicious. All of which, was served on a wooden platter. I could have eaten inside but it was the first warm night of the year, so I ate the wrap on one of the tables outside. The whole experience was well worth the money, unlike the football game. So I think I’ll try a sweet and coffee after the next game before catching the train home.

The guys took great care of us, kind, fun and very friendly. Very helpful, my cell phone didn't work to pay for the coverage and they gave me the wifi, plus it was from Real Madrid 😂. I ordered the Norfolk burger and it was great, very good choice. For dessert I ordered the Dark Knight, which I expected to be a little tastier but it was still good. Everything was great, a very good place for a quiet dinner with good food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Is a phenomenal place to go, first of all a lovely atmosphere and impeccably clean and the staff are wonderful and the food there are no words to describe how good it is, I'd like to consider myself a fan of a burger and it's an easy thing to get wrong but blimey out of all the ones I've had this fine gentleman makes the best! The flavour profile of the burgers are quite literally the best! If you live near or are just visiting you absolutely have to go and try this!!!!

Just wondering if there was a reason why I always got a thick long black hair in my food... I go because it's literally opposite my work place... (12 hour night shift)... Is it me?? Is there a reason it seems placed right on top ? .... No one else was ordering at the time... So ... Maybe I'm paranoid....it being right on top seems..... I saw it straight away, surely with it being quiet you would too?? ... Money and food wasted....why can't multi cultures co exists here today...?

I’ve just had a Norfolk burger from Sall’s Lokma. It is by far the best burger I’ve had in a long time the food was amazing the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend and I’ll be using them from now on. Excellent work keep it up.

Wanted to try this place for a while and got the salls wrap. The meat was unreal and iced coffee was more like a milkshake! Unfortunately the food took 25 mins to cook which wasn’t ideal for lunch break so had to take it away and eat at my desk. Was looking forward to sitting in and enjoying the atmosphere but unfortunately wasn’t expecting the wait time for a wrap.

Horrific yellow and green off-putting decor. Greek salad confusingly served with a choice of Caesar or pesto dressing... I heard others ordering it equally confused. For some reason the food is put on the counter when ready and you have to go and fetch it despite the place being empty. Really makes the service very disjointed. It's really easy to carry a plate to a table! Greek salad was OK, but baffled as to the 5 star reviews. Seems to attract people who have no other purpose but to hang about. I was waiting for the train, that's my excuse! Better than sitting in station but don't expect a warm welcome. At time of visit they were hiring for staff, hope reinforcements arrive soon!

Popped in here for a coffee and a snack. All was good. Friendly service. Nice coffee, food was great, freshly cooked and hot. It was quiet (Saturday afternoon). Desserts looked good, maybe next time! Give it a whirl, there's nothing not to like.

Salls Lokma were absolutely brilliant, good communication and really good food

Got delivery everything was good. Didn't know the burger came with the wedges. I didn't eat the wedges, but apart from that everything was/is yummy.

So I had the norfolk burger and my partner had the Mediterranean burger and I have to say we where extremely surprised with the quality not only the food but the packaging and the delivery. very polite delivery driver extremely well packaged and the food was full of flavour. if you fancy a burger I'd definitely recommend.

This was my first dine-in at Salls. I had the Salls burger and chips which was fantastic. Hope to try amazing desserts which everyone raves about.

Excellent food, really good quality and generous portions. I don't usually buy burgers out but you won't be disappointed with a Sall's burger - Meaty, nicely prepared, fresh salad leaves, good quality cheese even! Try a lunchbox, try a breakfast, try a burger, definitely try a lokma. You won't regret anything and you will be stuffed with amazing tasting delights. The packaging is good too, attention to detail it won't spill and make greasy patches everywhere. Just be warned the chips are fantastic but might be too spicy for some.

Horrible service and maybe racist. Waited 30 minutes for a simple mint tea. A bunch of people arrived after I placed my order to place orders for cappuccinos, burgers, etc and received them way before me. When the fool behind the counter finally noticed(or cared) he quickly put together the tea and handed it to me without a word. No apology for making me wait 30 minutes for a bagged tea. Hopefully it’s just a coincidence that the sole non-white customer had their order completely ignored. I am so mad I threw the tea away.

Positives: There is some unquestionable quality about aspects of the food that gets served at this place. The ingredients are fresh, and of good quality. The guy who works here is very passionate, polite and friendly. Ive ordered here twice, having the Salls burger and Salls wrap, the restaurant area looks great and I love the presentation of the food. Negatives: Although the texture of the chips are spot on the spice level is controversial. I like spice but for me its a dry chilli flavoured spice that easily dominates the taste buds. A spice/non spice option should be offered. Our wraps this evening were also very greasy Soo much so that I was put off eating the second half. The description of what we ordered too appeared to be different to what we got. We had this issue on our first order when ordering what we thought were onion rings, they turned out to be some kind of battered cheese rings instead. Ive definitely experienced enough potential to want to come back to support this place again one day - it would be the ideal place to order from after a few hours day drinking but attention to detail and perhaps double checking orders on the phone would not go a miss.

I usually skipped writing opinions. But I was so positively surprised by this restaurant that I had to write about it. I received napkins where most places didn't even provide them. Food was very good, warm, cute packaged and most importantly I felt it was fresh. In my opinion, the prices are too low for what we get. I totally recommend trying it

We had a great experience here every time we came. The staff are friendly. The food is tasty! The burgers are delicious. They are also very accommodating - if you don't like music, you can ask them to kindly turn it off and they can. Many of my friends and family and I really appreciate this about the place. Thank you for being so kind every time we have come. There is some street parking close by.

Not sure what’s going on with these reviews if they are made up by them.. but I have ordered some food and sent me on toilet for few days. Most definitely not recommended, expensive, low quality, smelly, oily. Desert nope tasted old and definitely something odd used into. Whatever do not throw money. Oh yeah burger… tasted old like smelly trash, meat texture just not ok with lots of unchewable things in it, I just simply couldn’t chew, was not edible, threw my money in the trash but worst.. I was so hungry and after a long wait. And the spanish omelette was ton of oil might was the one which sent me to the toilet, a bunch of ingredients in it, they might put everything they want🤢 bye

Honestly one of the best eateries in Norwich. The chips are to die for, and the vegan burger is so satisfying. It's always an absolute treat to order from Sall's - an amazing place!

Came here on Saturday evening just after 6pm with our girls. The owners are so polite and were lovely! The old fashion burger was delicious and the girls loved the lokma!!! All around great to be somewhere independent and authentic. Great 👍

You can park opposite in Rose Lane car park, or it's a few minutes walk from the Castle Mall and the railway station. So no excuses. Give them a try.
