Always delicious and piping hot, chips are great and the fish and fishcake are second to none, always pleased.

Perfect fish and chips and so much of it. This is value for money and tastes great!

2nd time we've had the most delicious food from the Eaton fish bar, fish is moist, batter is non greasy and crunchy, chips to die for and the most generous portions, and its still piping hot when we receieve it, excellent.

Was really disappointed with the food after last time. Fish and chips were both luke warm and didn't seem freshly cooked like last time, when they were hot and really tasty.

Used to be great but definitely gone downhill . Portions smaller, prices a lot higher, just not what it was with previous owners.

The food was blooming lovely, piping hot and very tasty. My only tip for improvement would be for the delivery person to read the delivery instructions given which would have avoided the delay. Thanks.

This is the best chip shop hands down in Eaton Cringleford Hethersett, South Norwich! The staff are very attentive and the food is very fresh and delicious unlike a few others who reheat their afternoon batch of chips! If you're in Cringleford Eaton Hethersett, South Norwich, this is your craving place for a chipshop. Such a warm welcome on entry and always leave feeling good knowing that what was ordered is made without any problems on getting home. Order fresh, eat fresh, feel fulfilled, with no funny tummy. The chip shop is normally cash only but I think they may have a card machine now but best to be prepared, although Waitrose has a cash machine very nearby. Be prepared to wait as it gets very busy! 🙏🏽

I tried to call the restaurant to ask to add salt and vinegar. Could not get through with repeated message unable to contact number. Two diet cokes were ordered however Two regular cokes were delivered. Diabetic! We had to throw most of the order away. Someone called later to apologize for being out of stock of Diet Coke.

I hadn't realised I had forgotten to order chips with 3 portions of fish. The restaurant had tried to get hold of me but I get very little phone service and therefore the calls were not coming through. I only realised my mistake when the order was received and they provided me with a nice big portion of chips with a happy new year message written on. Very thankful they were good enough to do that, I would have had some very hangry children! The missed calls and voicemail came through an hour after delivery so I'm very grateful for their generosity.

Missing fish with order asked for a refund. I tried to call the chip shop, but the number was not recognised :-(

Visited at 7pm tonight to get my son sausage and chips after football training. Shop shuts at 8.30pm so lots of time before closing. Owner sighed when I walked in and said ‘yes’ without looking up. I asked for small sausage and chips and he said no, sorry all gone. He then offered me some frozen chips! I politely declined 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Definitely won’t hurry back.

Not only was my food delicious. I forgot to order chips and the restaurant rang me to ask if I would like some chips with my order. I did, than they gave them to me free of charge. Thankyou for going out of your way to ring me. So I definitely would recommend

Food was great, but it took more than 1.30 hours to have it delivered and I doubted I was gonna get it at all.

Nice small chippy run by cheerful chinese family. The son on the counter offered to bring our order to the car. Very reasonable prices too. I might try their chinese menu next time.

Very tasty but a long wait past the collection time. Very chaotic service, nobody seemed to know what to do. Three members of staff working and only myself and one other customer who was already waiting before I arrived and I still had 10 minutes wait past collection time whilst food sat prepared in the cabinet.

Food was amazing HOWEVER it took over an hour and a half to be delivered. Would use them again but collection only and probably not through just eat. The shop closed at 8.30 and our order hadn’t arrived nor had we had any contact. My partner and I were coming to the conclusion that we weren’t going to receive our order. A little while later, the food was delivered by a polite chap whom, we assume, works for the shop.

Ordered via Just Eat to collect my order, arrived 5 mins early. Queued with other customers which was fine, but when it was my time to be served, I had to continue waiting for my order which wasn’t ready for collection. Enhanced prices online to pay a percentage to Just Eat for processing the order, and a service charge when in essence I would’ve been better to telephone the fish bar and place an order over the phone for collection, or not bother and just rock up and queue with other customers. Absolutely no benefit ordering via Just Eat. Lesson learned

Ordered from here on just eat. Said it would be 50 minutes. Phoned the takeaway 70 minutes later to ask where the food was and they had forgotten to make our order. This is not an isolated incident as I have seen similar reviews. The food might be really nice but I can’t confirm that as it’s not here.

Ordered meals via 'Just Eat' for 7pm. As by 7.40 nothing had arrived and there was no Tel No on website I was forced to drive to the shop. When asked where my order was I was informed that it was in a queue with a dozen other orders. They hadn't even bothered to phone me and showed little interest in apologies. Beware if you're thinking ofvordering via 'Just Eat'!thinking

We arrived just after closing time on a Friday evening, having found this restaurant by chance, yet were served happily with large portions of the most delicious cod and chips we have eaten anywhere in ages. This made a great start to our weekend away in Norwich. Thank you.

I've always had speedy friendly service at this chippy, it's our local. They only do fried items but great for your basics. Very helpful, kindly came out to me to ask what I would like so I didn't need to disturb my sleeping baby getting up the steps into the shop when on my own.

I really don't know why there are lots of negative reviews. I live locally and have visited many times. Our last visit was in August 2017. The kids wanted a battered sausage each, my wife wanted haddock and chips and I wanted cod & chips. I ordered 2 battered sausages, one portion of haddock, one portion of cod and a large chips. The fish was freshly cooked and was delicious and one large portion of chips was enough to feed 4 of us. Every time I go in there is a queue and the food is cooked to order so is crispy and fresh. What is not to like? The customer service was great on my last visit.
