The fish is, I think, one of the best in Norwich.

Used to be great but definitely gone downhill . Portions smaller, prices a lot higher, just not what it was with previous owners.

This is the best chip shop hands down in Eaton Cringleford Hethersett, South Norwich! The staff are very attentive and the food is very fresh and delicious unlike a few others who reheat their afternoon batch of chips! If you're in Cringleford Eaton Hethersett, South Norwich, this is your craving place for a chipshop. Such a warm welcome on entry and always leave feeling good knowing that what was ordered is made without any problems on getting home. Order fresh, eat fresh, feel fulfilled, with no funny tummy. The chip shop is normally cash only but I think they may have a card machine now but best to be prepared, although Waitrose has a cash machine very nearby. Be prepared to wait as it gets very busy! 🙏🏽

Visited at 7pm tonight to get my son sausage and chips after football training. Shop shuts at 8.30pm so lots of time before closing. Owner sighed when I walked in and said ‘yes’ without looking up. I asked for small sausage and chips and he said no, sorry all gone. He then offered me some frozen chips! I politely declined 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Definitely won’t hurry back.

This is our local fish bar. Friendly service, great quality fish and chips.. happy to cook to preference (i like VERY crispy batter) definitely recommend.

Had fish and chips and scampi for 5 last night and all were excellent. Fried in nice clean oil/fat and decent portions. Highly recommended.

Nice small chippy run by cheerful chinese family. The son on the counter offered to bring our order to the car. Very reasonable prices too. I might try their chinese menu next time.

Claimed to be open on a Tuesday online...but they weren't! Wasted journey!

Ordered from here on just eat. Said it would be 50 minutes. Phoned the takeaway 70 minutes later to ask where the food was and they had forgotten to make our order. This is not an isolated incident as I have seen similar reviews. The food might be really nice but I can’t confirm that as it’s not here.

Ordered meals via 'Just Eat' for 7pm. As by 7.40 nothing had arrived and there was no Tel No on website I was forced to drive to the shop. When asked where my order was I was informed that it was in a queue with a dozen other orders. They hadn't even bothered to phone me and showed little interest in apologies. Beware if you're thinking ofvordering via 'Just Eat'!thinking

Hot and crisp batter, tasty and absolutely delicious. Chips hot and not greasy! The portions were excellent. Could not fault their cod and chips. Great customer service and friendly staff.

The most delicious fish in Norwich

We arrived just after closing time on a Friday evening, having found this restaurant by chance, yet were served happily with large portions of the most delicious cod and chips we have eaten anywhere in ages. This made a great start to our weekend away in Norwich. Thank you.

This is my local chip shop and the quality and service are excellent. My brother who visits me every 3 months or so, always asks to go here as it is so good. Highly recommend.

I've always had speedy friendly service at this chippy, it's our local. They only do fried items but great for your basics. Very helpful, kindly came out to me to ask what I would like so I didn't need to disturb my sleeping baby getting up the steps into the shop when on my own.

I really don't know why there are lots of negative reviews. I live locally and have visited many times. Our last visit was in August 2017. The kids wanted a battered sausage each, my wife wanted haddock and chips and I wanted cod & chips. I ordered 2 battered sausages, one portion of haddock, one portion of cod and a large chips. The fish was freshly cooked and was delicious and one large portion of chips was enough to feed 4 of us. Every time I go in there is a queue and the food is cooked to order so is crispy and fresh. What is not to like? The customer service was great on my last visit.

2 portions of chips !!, 2 battered sausages !!!, SIX QUID !!!! I SHOULD CO CO !! WILL NOT BE USING YOU AGAIN !! Could have bought a 10 kg bag of spuds and a pound of sausage's and still had change !!

It's an ok chip shop, slightly expensive but good quality food.

If you want to be given measly end bits of fish, instead of a nice piece of cod, and then be verbally abused by the (drunk) owner for complaining, then this is the place for you. I will not be going back.

I was delighted to find a local chip shop with not having to drive in to Norwich, but found the chips to be too hard and the service not very great and quite poor.

We were so excited to have a local fish & chip shop within walking distance of home, but were greatly disappointed with the standard of the food. The batter was soggy and not crispy at all, and the chips were not cooked enough - too hard. Such a shame as we would like to support local businesses
