The best restaurants in Great Yarmouth East of England

Disgusting AVOID AVOID AVOID like the plague worst curry I have ever had in my life! Ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka, chicken curry all had no taste what so ever colour was well off arrived cold honestly do yourself a favour and go elsewhere and save yourself some money just spent over £50 and thrown it in the bin and ordered from somewhere else

This place is amazing burgers for a pound along with bacon rolls the only thing I would say is to cook the chips for a bit longer. But for the price this is amazing

Decided to try here whilst staying nearby in Scratby after reading good reviews and the fact they fry the traditional way in beef dripping which is rare to find back home. Everything including the chips is fried fresh to order whilst you wait, nothing sitting under the hot lamp for hours waiting to be bought! The only downside is the portion sizes, the large chips were slightly on the small side and the large cod wasn't as big as we've had from other chippies. But can't fault the quality of everything we had and the prices are still cheaper than many others. 👌

We stumbled across this whilst staying at the local Haven. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and close to the haven site. Staff really friendly, would recommend.

Absolutely awful waited a long while for our food to be delivered and when it finally got here it was stone cold and half the food was missing ! I phoned up and complained and they wasn’t interested in the slightest . The food was chucked away and decided to go to the fish inn at Bradwell . will not be using litchfield chippy ever again dreadful !!!

No reviews since 2022. I wonder why? Different ownership? Went for a coffee before visiting sealife centre. Well I thought I was speaking a foreign language. Asked for an Americano with Some cold milk when one of the kids serving had to ask how to make it!!!! Eventually was asked was it a black coffee I wanted!!! Also ordered a Latte… well it had hardly any milk in it. Coffee was tasteless and looked like dirty dish water in the glass mug…. A complete waste of £6 When I took them back to complain and said what was wrong the young lad just said ‘Bye’ I hope others read this. Maybe it was the coffee machine but these young lads working in there could not have cared about a customer complaint

OMG. I found this place by pure accident; the Food was fantastic and there were very big portion sizes. It's a very small sit-in or takeaway. We got a table and ate, shame it's in Great Yarmouth. As it is too far to travel regularly for us. But will go again if we have to travel this way.

Had a Sunday dinner it was delicious 😋 and dessert I cannot fault it so highly recommend

Lovely quaint little place, best toasted cheese scones we've ever had. Lovely staff, can be a bit of a wait but it's worth waiting for.

Excellent fish & chips, so nice we had them twice last week when visiting the area. The local chippy’s near our stay in Hemsby Scratby & Newport were all closed, I would definitely come back to Ryan’s Fish & Chips on our next visit. Ring the number to pre order and they’ll be ready when you get there.

We have always loved the food especially the hot dogs proper ones not tin ones.The staff are always polite and friendly and prices reasonable.

Sampled 5 flavours in total. Was just ok. Tasted maybe a bit artificial/ mass produced. I've had much better ice cream in Southwold.

Quaint shop/cafe with friendly staff and delicious, interesting food options. Can tell that thought and care goes into the cooking. Dog friendly and not far from the beach/dunes. Breakfast and coffee was delicious, and the cakes are delightful.

After reading the positive reviews, l really regret not researching places that sell these kinds of tasty doughnuts. On the beach road we came across a rather insistent faded, bleach blond lady who was selling doughnuts in a bar stand. She wasn’t very friendly and insisted l buy more doughnuts than l wanted because she was in the process of making them. Boasting to me we or more like just her (because I saw no other staff member lol)make their doughnuts fresh. But there were a no. of other doughnut bars making freshly fried doughnuts 🙄. I would avoid this store and on our next visit to Great Yarmouth, we’ll be headed straight to Madisons.
