The Grill & Grind in Great Yarmouth

Brilliant place food is very affordable and as for taste you get exactly what you pay for will definately be going there again on my next visit to Great Yarmouth

They accept contactless. Incredibly cheap. Not sure how they make a profit, they must need to sell a lot. Cheese burger had a small square of cheese on top, massive burger, in a smallish bun. A nice snack while walking up the high street

Absolutely cracking place for when getting a bit peckish A hot dog (standard size), or 1/4 pound burger with or without pinions or sauce or a bacon roll at a pound each you can't go wrong. Hits the spot every time. I can't think of anywhere else you can get such cheap cooked food. Had their fayre many times while in Great Yarmouth. Cheap yes but certainly not rubbish, never been unwell after a visit.

Great food at fantastic prices , staff were great and as Millwall fans ourselves that was even better lol . Will definitely return . Millllllllllllll 🙂

Rude staff who clearly shouldn't run a food establishment if they don't know what's in the food they cook, food was a good price however.

Seen a cook smoke a cigarette, go back to cooking without washing their hands. Last time I visited, They had deep fat fryers that they used to pre-cook the food in before putting on the big black cook tops... the oil was completely opaque and black with bits stuck to them. I see a young woman (around 20s) ask for a certain sauce but he gave her the wrong one as when it was said about, they swore at the customer returning the incorrect order, wiped the sauce off and gave it back to them whilst still swearing like a sailor. After all this, I will never return and would rather pay a bit more elsewhere where they actually treat the customers nicely and have a clean kitchen... I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet! Update 30/06/24 Saw another customer receive the wrong sauce, complained and received verbal abuse from staff again whilst insulting the man's wife! Again another staff member smoking right outside then went straight back to cooking Poor quality food, feeling hardly surprised given the state of the staff.

Wow a foot long sausage in a roll with lovely perfectly fried onions for a great price. Great banter with staff as well. Will certainly make Grind and Grill my "go to" place to eat on my future visits to Gt. Yarmouth. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Great value for money with a family of 5. Food Is ok when your on a budget. Staff are all friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped into the town and my eyes glanced at the prices and it was steady with customers, on they way back we had the chips curry sauce and the footlong sausage. Staff were friendly and the food to my surprise was decent for the price, we went back on the sunday and had the same with an added tex burger (I think it was a 1/2 pounder). Again no complaints, Ive read some reviews and some negative, just remember how much your paying with overheads they are still a very good price. Yes there is several burgers etc cooked but I have no concern as they arrived to me hot. Carry on the good work will revisit again

Fantastic burger £1 hot dog £1 chips £2 £4 for a meal you just can’t beat it anywhere around the area your looking at triple that price and much nicer the a cheap maccies!! Lovely staff

Tasty burger and bacon roll just £1. Large Cappuccino also tastes nice and for only £1.50 . Always busy , served quickly . Absolute bargain .Open 365 days a year

Edited 29th October 2023. We went there again and the prices have gone up but the portions have gone down. The £1 hotdogs are tiny, kids portions, and the one that was £1 size wise is now £2. ' It's not the great bargain it used to be. If you are visiting great yarmouth, then a visit to get a quick cheap bite here is an absolute must. From cheap hotdogs to the 1/2lb burgers. They cook a ton off, so the wait is just a matter of seconds. Yes, they are renowned for rolling the sausage around in the hot fat to warm it up, but hey, it works. The prices have remained solid and cheap for ages and have no doubt will for a long time to come. The coffee is also nice and well priced too. This is definitely a must get a bite to eat place, staffed by very polite and friendly staff.

Sorry guys, we've always had good experiences here but not on Friday 21st July 2023. Burger was massively burnt and had a funny taste from the oil it was cooked in. Put us off from coming back.

Had severe food poisoning from the chips!!! I didn't think it was possible. But I hadn't eaten a thing all day so I know it was the chips.

Nice burger for a pound but don't understand why thier still running the business like covid times someone has to put the sauce on for you and not allowed to enter also closing at 3pm surley they loose out on the school kid footfall

Lots of burgers, sausages and onions cooked and stacked up ready to re heat when ordered. The food sits there for ages. I had a bacon roll cooked fresh it was awful.

As someone who has worked in the fast food industry before, it absolutely baffles me how they charge so little for food when a couple of shops down you pay 5 times the price. Food is great for the cost. £1.50 for a quarter pounder cheeseburger. Only issue I found was someone puts the sauce on for you (must be the portion control)

Impromptu visit to Great Yarmouth on a chilly rainy day. The Vietnamese restaurant we planned to go to was shut at that time so walking past here we saw how cheap the prices were and thought we’d give it a try. Even if it was bad at least you don’t pay a fortune for it. We got the quarter pounder with cheese and foot long hot dog. Both were surprisingly really good. Ok maybe not the best ingredients in the world but pleasantly surprised. Tasty and good portion sizes. Normally you’d pay about £5-6 for that size hot dog. Keep it up and thank you for providing an affordable meal.

No bullsh*t, no frills, no messing around. You get what you pay for, and for what you pay the quality is superb. If I ever have the displeasure to end up in Yarmouth again I know there's at least one quality spot in town.

What can you say about a £1 burger? It’s always busy and I’ve paid a lot more for worse. Easy peasy.

A £1 for a burger or hotdog might seem good but don't be fooled. As the saying goes you get what you pay for, and here I am still trying to work out if the burger I had was made with meat or sawdust as it was the most tasteless one I have had onions where a Mish mash of uncooked or burnt to a crisp. The three old guys running it looked more like they are doing the family Sunday afternoon BBQ then running a food outlet. And they don't listen to the order's when placed. So if you want a burger there are plenty of other food outlet's near buy, do your taste buds a favour and stay away from the grill &grind

Our family really lives this place, the food is really nice and freshly cooked in front of you. We have been eating here a lot of years now, staff are really friendly and pleasant too. The food is really cheap here and they are always busy. A few seats to sit down to eat outside which is nice and is always tempting to go back for a second burger. We think it’s better than McDonald’s and you get more for your money. Keep up the fab work Grill and Grind.

The Grill and Grind may at first look be not the best looking Café around it is like a road side stall in a shop front. I have eaten here multiple times over the last 10 years and have to say that it is excellent value for money even though I think a couple of the names are misleading. A jumbo hotdog with or without onion for a £1.00 is actually a standard 2 oz sausage not a hotdog but a standard sausage. A footlong for £2.50 is a jumbo sausage. The quarter pound 4oz burger with or without onion for £1.00 and cheese for extra 50p is excellent value but not top quality but worth a pound Tea and coffee £1.00 a cup. Food is affordable and has a fast turnover with food being continually cooked. I will be back again

I was recommended this place by a friend so when i came to Yarmouth on holiday i had to give it a try... it didn't dissappoint! Absolute bargain and it tastes great. Can get the whole family a burger or hot dog for less than £7, not many places these days where you can get that sort of value. Great bunch of lads aswell.

Burger with onions for only £1. Very tasty and such good value. I paid 3 times the price from a stall in Hemsby and it was not as nice as this. Would buy from again when I go to Yarmouth again 😀

I always take my kids here when in yarmouth, you'd think at those prices the food would be horrible but the burgers and hotdogs are bang on. £1 for a 1/4 pounder and £2 for a ft long hotdog, you can't go wrong. I can get me and 2 kids a filling lunch for a fiver, drinks from poundland or savers with a pic n mix, a cheap day out 🙂

The food is next to none! The service is brilliant and the team are friendly, helpful and observant (observant in the fact one of them saw a young girl struggling to put ketchup on her food and walked around and helped whilst making it fun for her and she instantly seemed comfortable with a stranger helping her) The food is cheap but the quality is high end. Best burger I've had in a long while. Highly recommend!

Always love coming here for the best burger in town. You never have to wait for very long. There is seating inside. Plenty of condiments to go with your burger or hotdog with onions mushrooms and cheese also on menu. Prices are slowly creeping up but hope they don't go up too much, as this will spoil the good thing they have going for them. Good fast food at a good price.

Stopped here on a day out in yarmouth could not fault the service very friendly staff but the prices were unbelievably cheap pound for 1/4 pound burger or hot dog 1.50 for footlong hotdog all was tasty and not greasy. prices like this are hard to find any were let alone on the busy seafront were over inflated prices are quite often the norm.
