We love coming here! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! Really large portions, so make sure you are really hungry when you go! 😋

Had a fabulous evening... sadly someone had collapsed, but staff dealt with it very well, with the help of a fellow diner who was a nurse, Connor our waiter, went above and beyond... Hope the chap was okay Food excellent... looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks

A bit of a trek but well worth it. Big choice of grilled/smoked meat. A good sized portion served with a smile. Very attentive and efficient even though full. Very impressed with our first visit

What an unexpected find in the depths of Norfolk. A great themed venue with lots of good parking and easy to find. Friendly reception and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and well prepared. A great experience.

Visited here in Easter Sunday with our son and partner, the food was wonderful, tasty and plenty of it. Staff were friendly, attentive and plenty of them, which meant you didn’t have to wait for ages. Cannot wait to return. Would recommend 100%.

Dined on Easter Sunday. Changed our booking from a table of 2 to 4 at quite short notice but were accommodated. This was my first visit and it was amazing!!!! Best brisket I've ever eaten. No photos sadly as I had to tuck in. I wish I lived closer as I'd love to try more from the menu. Massive shout out to all of the staff too. Restaurant was packed but every member of staff had a smile on their face. Great team.

We were very much looking forward to eating here as we heard lots of good reports. We were one of the first to arrive when it opened at 4pm. Highly recommended that you book as people were queuing to get there seat! We ordered ( table service) our drinks and then food. I ordered the full rack of ribs, which came with fries, coleslaw, corn on cob, and onion rings. On the menu it said the ribs would be 'cooked to perfection and falling off the bone, smothered in BBQ sauce' unfortunately for me, the meat was quite tough and I had trouble getting it off the bone and for me, it wasnt 'smothered' in BBQ sauce. I had to leave some of it...however the rest was delicious. I think if I had asked for more sauce, they would have gotten me some more. Richard ordered Beef Brisket, which was absolutely GORGEOUS! Yes, he let me try his... it really did melt in your mouth, I think I will be opting for that next time. We will be back as I think I may have just had a bad one off plate of ribs. The place itself is amazing inside and out and we can't wait to experience the outdoors when they have bands on and eating outside.

Highly recommend everything about this restaurant. Food was amazing service was great and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. I can't fault a single thing and have recommended to friends and we will definitely be returning.

Top marks for all aspects for this visit. We visited on the off chance and was found a table. The food (Ribs) cooked to perfection, with explanation of how they are smoked from Connor. Service, excellent, Atmosphere and decor great.

We had a meal here on Saturday, there was 10 of us so phoned up before as had a request to sit downstairs as I had a pram, the person I spoke to said yes no problem but when I arrived for our meal they put us upstairs! I wasn't impressed as I had a newborn baby and was told I had to go upstairs with the pram, I did mention to the lady that I requested to sit downstairs and the response I got was sorry too many disabled people in tonight! The food was good but if I requested downstairs and you couldn't accommodate we would of gone elsewhere!

Just been to this place the portions are huge so be very aware when ordering but the food is also amazing and the the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome ...would definitely recommend...happy eating people

As a family we have been coming to this area for a number of years and have driven past the Smokehouse. Finally tried it and wished we had come here before. Atmosphere, service and the food were 100% spot on. Definitely will be booking a table in August when we are next in Caister. I won’t post photos of the food as it tastes is better than any photo.

We ate here the last night of our holiday as we got engaged that morning, next day quite unwell in the morning and on the way home. It's a long way back to Brighton had to stop 3 times at services to be unwell. Had the ribs and while there is a disclaimer the meat will be pink cause of the cherry wood how are you sure they are Def cooked, maybe they were reheated. It's a shame cause while there we enjoyed it.

Honestly, it was okay. Coming to Great Yarmouth from London we were looking forward to the small town vibes and hospitality, which we got literally everywhere else in the town. Food is good, the ribs which are a pretty big selling point were not great though which was disappointing. Service good but you feel like you're in a chain with not more care or attention. If you're looking for good steak, Othello's in Great Yarmouth should be your go to!

What a wonderful evening. Great food, amazing atmosphere. The staff were exemplary, kind and professional. Our first visit, we cannot wait to visit again. Warning wear loose clothing, massive portions of home cooked, smoked food. Thank you making our visit so special and fitting us in. Please pre booked, very busy.

We came for the first time on mother's day last weekend . It was just myself and my two girls and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented . Our waitress Krystal was lovely and get checking on us, and lastly the atmosphere was great and made extra special by the table magician coming round . With such a huge choice on the menu we will definitely be back.

Place was buzzing with people. Staff were helpful and personable. The food was plentiful and delicious and quite usa authentic. Would recommend.

Lovely food, however felt really rushed by wait staff, told the food would take 30 mins however starters came out quick but before you could even take a breath the mains came out. Yes we all like quick service but that was just too quick therefore couldn’t finish mains and enjoy the food properly. Such a shame. Not the first time I’ve been here and felt really rushed.

This smokehouse is a great find! In comparison to Zaks this has a more varied menu. We ordered a variety of burgers and beef brisket which were all delicious. Sides and Fries were generous portions. Good value for money. Staff were friendly and efficient. The only criticism was our booth was a little tight for 6 adults. We will certainly be visiting again soon.

My 2 children, wife and I visited the Smoke House while down in Great Yarmouth for a short break 17th Feb 2024. Service was good and team were attentive through out our meal. Food was ok... we had an issue with one element of my wife's meal. They were quick to respond and the restaurant manager came over. She (with out asking) removed an item from our bill. Its a family run business so attention to customer service is important. I would recommend this restaurant for its atmosphere and service but feel more attention is need to the food, something the manager said she would do.

Went last night wwwwooowwww food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, to top it off we had a waiter can't remember his name all I can tell you is he had mousy brown and a blue bracelet on his service was outstanding very polite and could not do enough for us, he was polite and welcoming, will def be returning thanks again to the smoke House for the food and the waiter gor his great service. 👍

Excellent food, massive portions and friendly efficient staff. Also very honest. I'd forgotten I'd paid a large group deposit so it looked like we'd left a massive tip. They came straight back to notify us. We will return next time we're in the area.

Food awesome Service amazing Very busy however and took rather a long time to get food. But there was a booking of thirty and a booking (us) of 18 at the same time understandable but it was a rather daft wait to be honest. Atmosphere not bad just very loud. For so onw with sensory issues music could have been a bit quieter so people didn't have to shout at each other.

Fun place to go, especially with a group

Nice American themed slow cook bbq restaurant by Norfolk seaside towns. We stayed at Great Yarmouth and only took 15 minutes to drive here. The restaurant venue is huge, so there is no issue with car parking. Building and surrounding very nice, cool American diner interior. Service wasn't too bad. You might feel some staff seems a bit blunt, but they have many staff around to ask things, so you can get quick responses. Food was excellent with huge portions, therefore we had to take leftover home. I enjoyed beef brisket the most. You will experience a proper American vibe here.

Food always lovely. Staff absolutely rubbish. They’re rude with an attitude. We were a group of people and we all work in hospitality. We went to the bar for pay the bill, when asking for separate bills , they look at us as if we were annoying them, give us a side eyes. Really bad, and we need to figure it out ourselves how much we need to pay individually, it’s the first time going out asking to do it myself pathetic. Young people rude.

Went to the smokehouse for our work Xmas meal. 25 people attended and we had our own room. The staff were attentive, food was out of this world and everyone had a great night. There were so many compliments from my team as to how good their meals were. Even with so many of us, food was out quickly, and high quality. Thank you to all the smokehouse for making it a works night out to remember. I'm sure the team will defo be back!!

Food was lovely, however the staff where not! Our server was lovely however shellie was extremely rude, when serving our drinks they were slammed on the table, not even a smile when the food was delivered, and to top our experience off, the young man at the after paying, spoke to us very unprofessionally infront of the whole resterant for everyone to hear! This is not the service I wanted to pay for

Why have I never visited here before? An American style dining experience with delicious food and drinks. An inclusive friendly atmosphere with great service. The smoked brisket and rib were amazing.

The food here is amazing. I have been here twice and I would highly recommend it. Staff are friendly and the food comes out fast and I would say it is all good price and the food size is amazing too.

I am a local and own a taxi service in the area. I have eaten at the restaurant many times and taken many customers to the restaurant with no complaints. I have been reading through some of the bad reviews left and all I can say is it's a loud of trash. I have never had bad food here. Sometimes the service is ok but that is when they are very busy. All I can say to anyone reading the reviews is YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE ITS AMAZING. GARY scratby taxi

We travelled 2 hours to eat here as we had heard they do great burgers and steaks. We weren't disappointed. The steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted great. All I will say is go hungry as its big portions .

Every time we go, the experience is perfect. We had my sons 18th there on Saturday, and they did not disappoint. This is our goto for a large group party, we do sneak in a visit now and again as a couple without the kids knowing, but we'll keep that to ourselves.

We booked a table to coincide with a weekend trip to great Yarmouth,we had heard other people say how good the smokehouse experience was & they were so right,upon arrival we were seated & our drinks order was taken,not too long afterwards we ordered our food & when it arrived at the table it was nice & hot, delicious & big in portion size, couldn't fault a thing,we will definitely return to try other menu items.

We love this place staff are always super helpful and attentive. Food is just bang on and amazing. This is our go to place for a meal out. Tonight we were served by Bronwyn who was a perfect host thanks for a great evening.

Had an excellent meal with my partner and it was fabulous. The burgers are huge and the chips are lovely. I had one with pulled pork topping and there was loads. I couldnt eat it all. For dessert we had lovely ice cream sundaes

What a lovely night! Totally recommend this place. Great food, BBQ Ribs were amazing and the house slaw was tasty. Deco was fab and after finding out that it’s a family business it’s really impressive. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area you will not be disappointed. Staff were great and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our server Max was funny and made the whole experience even better. Oh and the music was on point totally fitted the venue, was told that this was down to Heidi, great playlist! Overall 10/10. Thank you all for a lovely night. We will be back.

First meal out after lockdown and we weren’t disappointed. Great food and the staff can’t do enough for you and are so friendly. Will be back soon, such a little gem of a place, we travel 20km to go there but so worth it everytime!

Visited this place with my family and had a good meal. My daughter and partner went there again only to be hugely disappointed. Waited one and half hours to be served and when the food arrived it was not cooked properly, did complain. This place was very busy which they clearly could not cope with.. I would not recommend this establishment.

All I can say is well done what a refreshing experience from start to Finish ! The staff have been well educated in all things covid and make you feel safe . The customer service is excellent and the atmosphere is amazing . The food was presented lovely and tasted amazing they catered well for allergies and nothing was to much trouble they worked hard to ensure everyone was happy and came and checked to see if our party needed anything regularly. All staff seemed happy and polite and were allSmiling which goes along way . I will definitely go back !

My family and friends had an amazing night at the smokehouse. The food was amazing (specially the well recommended beef brisket)but more amazing than the food was the customer service katie who saw us in from the start explain in full detail of what was to expected and boy we was not disappointed. It was so refreshing to meet someone who has a passion and drive about quality food. We really cannot wait to book again. Well done to all the staff for all their efforts through this tough time our country is facing.thank you.

My family visited the restaurant last night (this wasn’t a night of the eat out to help out offer before they reply blaming it on that) we arrived at 7:30pm and we didn’t get our food until 9:15pm!! We were told at 8 they had an issue in the kitchen and it would be a 35 minute wait which we agreed was fine. After that we never saw a member of staff again until 9 when we complained. No one came to check on us, update us on the situation or offer us any more drinks. When we did complain the staffs attitude was disgusting, they kept walking away mid sentence we was having with them and there was never any mention of the word sorry!!! When the food did come out It was a shambles. One of our party had to wait an extra five minutes for his to actually come out, sauces were missing and when we asked for them we was ignored and two of the main courses were missing meat items from them. We would of LOVED to of raised this issue with a member of staff but nobody came to check on our table the whole time we was eating and again there was no staff to be seen. It felt like we were being avoided due to previously complaining. (and perhaps when you’re sat in the bar you get forgotten about)We asked for the manager TWICE and never got them. And when complaining again when leaving a staff member went to go and get the land lady who also never came. The staffs attitude to our concerns were awful. It was just back chat and no individual was being accountable for our awful experience. When paying the bill the lady kept trying to patronise us as she kept mentioning ‘ well obviously you were given a complimentary round of drinks ...’ we NEVER received any complimentary drinks!! She had asked someone to do this apparently and it never happened. We actually have eaten here already this week and had an amazing experience with a lovely waitress called Beth this was on the eat out to help out night and we received much better service she couldn’t do enough to help us! I feel sorry that she has to share her tips with the likes of other people working there! Such a disappointment as we have eaten here so many times previously. Shocking customer service and it ruined our night.
