The best restaurants in East Flegg Great Yarmouth East of England

We always have a takeaway from here while on holiday in the area and in the past its always been very tasty and well worth the money, this time it was tasty but did not seem to be the same standard as other visits, the prices have gone up but the portions were a lot smaller.

We had one sausage and chips, and one childs chips, l have had chip shops all my working life ,things have gone up a lot ,but £9,for what we had ,and takeaway is far to much, chips were nice ,sausage was only the cheapest jumbo ones you can buy, sorry definitely not coming again, feeling sorry for the family's on holiday,

Brilliant little food van... Hot dogs are amazing and the burgers are divine. Lovely staff aswell.. Top notch!

Original pub full of character and charm massively extended through necessity.Our evening meals were wonderful and the staff excellent. However if you are staying the night check if the chirping heater outside the bedroms has been fixed.I wasn't able to sleep atall and a good nights sleep was much missed! I mentioned it the next morning and hope it gets sorted as wouldn't stay again if not.

Every time we went to visit it was closed it was always our favourite restaurant

Dissapointing visit last night all round. Requested our order to be collected for 8:45, we were five minutes early and the order was already waiting for us, which would seem nice but might explain why our food was cold by the time we’d driven only a couple miles home. The rice was hard and flavourless, the batter on the chicken balls was stodgy, the spring rolls were undercooked. The salt and pepper prawns were okay although strange to have cold lettuce instead of peppers or another vegetable , and to give credit where it’s due the chow mein was nice. Portion sizes were smaller than other competitors in the area, I’d highly recommend dragon palace in Caister as an alternative. There were no prawn crackers or fortune cookies included. For a £35 order can comfortably say that I won’t be returning or recommending.

Went here in 20203. Food wasn't great and the place was dirty! Went to Hensby in 2024 and it's completely close. It's the summer holidays so I'm not sure if sure its going to re-open??

In the 40+ years I have lived in Winterton, I have known the Post Office pass through four different owners. All have been genuinely lovely, in their own way - until now. Never before have I been treated so offhandedly and with such disdain as the current proprietors. They are rude and abrupt; why take on a customer-facing business when you so clearly DON'T LIKE PEOPLE? Especially so wheelchair users, the neurodivergent, any young people...or seemingly, anybody a little bit different. Both myself and my daughter have been on the receiving end of this; it is so unprofessional. I'd rather inconvenience myself by getting on a bus to Hemsby Post Office than use this place. It doesn't matter how well stocked your shop or how good your services are, when you treat people this way you drive away your customers!

This is the second time I've been and the guy was extremely difficult and overly lazy on both occasions. I wanted a doner wrap but for the walk and so he didn't have to deliver I wanted everything in separate pots etc and happy to pay extra. He wouldnt do it and said because he didn't want to. We are residents of Hemsby and the charge is the same as if in London. Not helpful, didn't appreciate his customer in the depths of winter. I will not be returning. Such an idiot in harsh times for custom. I will go elsewhere in future.

Took my family out for bowling had a lovely time the staff all friendly and polite had a really good time will definitely be back.

Supermarket cheap chips fried Fish was good but Chips were terrible also sauces are bought by the sachet not provided

Thoroughly disappointed. The staff were friendly enough but their queueing system had us and another group confused. The slush I received was basically flavoured water rather than the crunchy ice you would expect.
