In the 40+ years I have lived in Winterton, I have known the Post Office pass through four different owners. All have been genuinely lovely, in their own way - until now. Never before have I been treated so offhandedly and with such disdain as the current proprietors. They are rude and abrupt; why take on a customer-facing business when you so clearly DON'T LIKE PEOPLE? Especially so wheelchair users, the neurodivergent, any young people...or seemingly, anybody a little bit different. Both myself and my daughter have been on the receiving end of this; it is so unprofessional. I'd rather inconvenience myself by getting on a bus to Hemsby Post Office than use this place. It doesn't matter how well stocked your shop or how good your services are, when you treat people this way you drive away your customers!

I was waiting to enter the shop at 7.30am. The lady in front of me was being stopped from entering by the owner as she had a small dog. The unpleasant man said dogs are not allowed because of health and safety. There was a dog inside already and the owner said that he had special dispensation for his dog as a guard.

Found this tea room in the summer, staff are so friendly and helpful. Good old fashioned hospitality

Another case of the listing on google not matching the opening times. The post office shuts at 11.30 but googles listing shows this as 17.30. The shop and the post office should be listed differently to avoid people wasting their time coming to drop off or collect parcels.

Nice place and lovely waitress, poor joyless food however. Cheapest sausages ever. Why not use a good local butcher and promote a good quality sausage. Dry scrambled eggs no butter, margarine on the toast. It’s as easy to cook good food as poor

Lovely place, friendly & helpful owners, now offering a small café (Lavazza coffee, Yum!) but isn't open late. Small shop and, like most of Winterton, little parking. Dogs not allowed which means the cafe is rarely full, as most of Winterton owns a dog!

Very rude shop keepers / owners. In no way serves the community or feels like a friendly shop & post office. Best avoided and go across the road to buy supplies!

I lived in a Thatched Cottage near the post office in 1968. It was the coldest place on Earth, no heating and we just arrived from Aden, where it was hot. The house is now trendy and worth lotsa cash, but Winterton was the windiest place we've ever known, which explains the modern windmill generators. Dunes were a fun place to play, but we stood out as educated foreigners (Normal English kids) to the local rural community and it was very lonely. Glad to get out of there.

I didn't have any fish but had a 10oz sirloin steak meal and it was the best I've had. The staff are incredible and polite. Talkative too . I would recommend this place to anyone
