Incredibly tasty, well cooked food. And they take cards!!! This is definitely the best Chinese take-away ever! The prices are reasonable; the staff are friendly and everything is super fresh. They are also very helpful in describing the dishes and can adjust accordingly - no mushrooms in 'x' etc. It can get busy so would advise to phone ahead as they have 'locals' travelling up from Wangford and Beccles on the Suffolk border to eat here. I believe they also deliver too. We would never go anywhere else.

Can’t rate the food, we didn’t buy any. Chef said there were definitely undeclared allergens in all the food that wouldn’t be on the listed on packets, it all came in boxes and packets but he could guarantee it didn’t have what was in it listed on there which I said at the time was not legal he ignored that , but did say order if you want but if you get sick from it he’d “get away with it anyway” because he had a disclaimer and that other places won’t tell you they don’t know what’s in their food, but they’re all shopping from the same suppliers. He claimed it was just honesty though it actually came across as rudeness and being completely uninformed about his products and non compliance with laws (and if he’s not following one you have to wonder about adherence to others like health and hygeibe regulations etc) I was a caterer until fairly recently and often prepared various take away style Asian foods. The suppliers for Chinese items I used did in fact follow U.K. law and put ingredients on the packaging, and other take aways I’ve visited both in this area and in other counties also used suppliers and brands that labelled so I do wonder what suppliers and brands he was using that apparently don’t. Seems more likely he just wasn’t willing to check but had the time to act defensive and carry on after we’d said we wouldn’t order. It seems like they have no idea what they’re actually cooking in there, it’s all just mystery stuff from apparently unlabelled packets and boxes. The best thing about the place was the lady working there taking the orders who was polite and friendly and went to find out what she didn’t know, unfortunately it resulted in that behaviour from the chef.

We were staying in a caravan nearby and came across the shop. We viewed the menu from outside and decided we would order. On entry into the shop, we were greeted by a friendly lady. We were served quickly and were told it would be about 10 minutes, so to take a seat. The food was brought out quickly and packaged well. The food was hot and delicious back at our caravan. Definitely recommend the Salt and Chilli Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style.

Been there many years and always good food, this time the food was awful couldn’t eat anything, egg fried rice funny taste and really stodgy not been fried , beef curry way too hot couldn’t eat it the chips were brown and had been cooked twice to warm them up will never go there again what a waste of money don’t understand why they have become so bad.

They do some excellent dishes like the chicken in yellow-been sauce and their 'China Boy' special fried rice. Annoyingly, their chips are often a bit hit and miss (often a bit soggy), but their standard menu is great. Always pleasant and fast if you're collecting.

Used forthe last 16yrs. Can't fault them lovely food.

Not the best very bland ,used to be good so perhaps a new chef or something ,won't be buying again waste of 20 pounds dont normally give bad revues but felt this needed it

Seriously the best Chinese we have ever had. We got one last time we visited Hemsby 8 years ago and were blown away so couldn’t wait to have another take away on this visit. We weren’t disappointed it was just as delicious as we remembered. Shame to don’t deliver to holiday sites but totally understand x

Very disappointing meal. The food lacked flavour. The salt and chilli ribs were nice but the crispy chilli beef was terrible. It had a very unusual flavour which tasted like cinnamon. It was not spicy and definitely not crispy. I tried calling but they must have been busy. Make sure you take cash as the nearest free cash machine is a 15 minute walk. The sign says it’s temporary but it’s been up a long time.

Went last year..enjoyed it very nicely cooked..so made sure I went again..yep same great taste..plenty of meat ,rice cooked to perfection..great price too

Tried to place a £60 order but they had zero interest because they won’t deliver to holiday parks? What’s the point in being based around a holiday area! Absolutely poor.

On the menu they state they deliver. We had a £60 order but was told they don't deliver to holiday parks which is a joke. We have had two other delivers to us with no problem. We decided to order elsewhee which does deliver, China boys lost.

One of the nicest Chinese takeaways in the hemsby area and there are anorher 3 close by. Can highly recommend the special fried rice and special chow mein 👌

My daughter and I ordered from you this evening, delivered to long beach holiday park. Great service, absolutely delicious, footdwas hot and packaged well, the tastiest Chinese we have had in a long time.10/10

The quality of the food has always been good (for the UK) though the dishes are sweeter than anything you would have in Asia. But now it is 2023 things have changed. Before Christmas 2022 the prices went up. Understanable with the general price increases everywhere, so was happy to accept that. January 2023 they have reduced the sizes of the containers by about a third. Ordered the 2 same items - before Christmas couldn't finish my meal, after Christmas was left still hungry - on examining the previous containers (used to freeze things in) I see the BIG difference in Container size. Price increase I get - but making them smaller I do not. You seem to be squeezing from two sides - and actually went out of your way to order smaller containers... Food was not as nice - I am guessing they have chosen different ingredients also. You've lost my loyalty and my future orders.. You used to be the best Chinese in the Area but now it is smaller, pricier, and tastes not as good as last year. I have now moved over to buying Chinese from M&S. Cheaper, better quality meals and meat/chicken, and the portions have not changed. Unlike some others.. You've lost a (once a week) customer..

Having to call 111 at midnight due to possible food poisoning from here, for a 3 year old that won’t stop throwing up. Do not recommend. 👎

The person who took my order was very polite, clear and easy to talk to. Delivery was before time, respecting distance and polite. My food was piping hot and very tasty

Soggy chips. Soft CHRISPY chilli beef. Soft prawn crackers. Singapore chowmein ok wandering dragon very bland. Obviously forgot to season it soo disappointed.

Haven’t ordered from here for a long while and won’t be again… seaweed bitter, chips hard, spring rolls mushy, however satay chicken was nice ..but on top of that very bad stomach after, not to mention big price hikes 😔 very sad as they were fab so not sure what has happened!

But now you are charging delivery and prices up. We live here & order all year round . Tonight I'll bill normally £17.90 gone up to £21.40 will not be ordering again 😒

Complained about waiting time as they were over 1 hour late...food gone down hill. Said us regulars came after holiday makers...then band our calls. Hope they go bust ...no respect for locals.

Ordered from here whilst on holiday. Waited 45 minutes to pick it up and decided to take it back to our caravan back in California Cliffs (Scratby). Opened it to find some of our order was missing. We called them and was told to come pick the missing items up, whilst the rest of our order went cold in the caravan. We said we would like it delivers then and was told this would be an hour and 45 mins and then they told us that they actually didn't deliver here. We said we would return our whole order to be re cooked as didn't want half cold order. Went back to the shop and they handed us another bag with fresh order. We asked to speak to the manager as we were unhappy with service provided, they said they could do nothing about it and weren't willing to compensate us. Please avoid this company, do not deserve the custom. There were lots of other unhappy customers calling whilst we were swapping our food and customers waiting long time in store for collection.

We always used to love China Boy, however now we only order from there as a last resort. The standard of the food has gone down and we really miss the menu items that are no longer available.

After being a customer for years, we live local and all year through we order at least twice a month we complained that our delivery was over an 1 hour 45 minutes, when they had quoted us 45 minutes to an hour. When we tried calling again we found our telephone number had been blocked. I thought they would apologise but I was wrong, Is this what loyal customers should be treated like. We have had some good meals and some bad but never complained before.

Cost over £10 more for the same order at my local take away. Rice and noodles not packed tight in container so don't get much. Food was fine, quite tasty but not great.

Had a bad meal on Thursday (sauce was inedible and ruined the meal and a dish was missing an essential ingredient). We were less than impressed with the responce when we complained, being transferred to the chef who argued the point. Not good enough. The young lady who took the call was apologetic and is always polite.

Just had sesame prawn toast and shrimp chop suey, discus, nothing no juice just watery bean ting, soggy no taste of prawn whatsoever and as for the chop suey, worst ever, a dozen small flavourless shrimps and beansprouts, nothing else, nothing not even juice, never againany juice

After they closed for a while, we decided to try this take out again. Got through quicker than the usual 2 hour wait. Got told the food would be only 1 hour... after and 1 hour 30 minutes, I called up to query where my food was. I was informed that the driver was on his way back to the restaurant, then will be with us within 30 minutes. This would take the delivery time to 8:20pm. I ordered at 6:10pm. This is beyond unacceptable. When the food arrived at 8pm, the driver did not apologise for the lateness. When I opened the food, it was cold. I attempted to call the restaurant but there was no answer. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have been let down by this restaurant.

I do not recommend calling this place to order food. Started calling at 5pm when they opened. 210 calls later and still no response. Beyond disappointed. I cannot believe this has happened. Poor customer service.

Could not get through on the phone so went down to the takeaway. Ordered my food was told 15 minutes, ( just be aware cash only, taxman!!!!!!) Over 45 minutes later received my order and drove home. Only to find AGAIN the order was short ( this has happened before, duck wraps without duck ), I called them up, after 75 calls i got through. Was told sorry they forgot!!!! After a discussion in the background was finally told they would bring to me "thanks for that, your mistake". The food again was tasty but the portions are small and filled with a lot of filler, onions, peppers etc. The special fried rice had hardly no meat in it (maybe that's why its special). So please up your game.

Me and my friends got a takeaway from here one evening, food was good and not to greasy, clearly popular as we had to wait 1 hour just to pick up the delivery. I would recommend the staff informing that it is cash only over the phone before placing the order as we wasn’t told until we arrived to pay. I had read somewhere that it was cash only but that was a while ago so wasn’t sure with everything going on with Covid if they would of changed to card payments, wasn’t an issue though, we had the cash but might be best to pre warn people beforehand.

Ordered £100 worth off food tonight, everything was spot on and was hot when picked up!! Lovely service will definitely be ordering from here again! 100% recommend.

Highly priced for such small portions. The small containers had very little in them.... £26 for 1/4 duck, pork fried rice and sweet&sour chicken is expensive. Most main courses come in full containers, but these were only half, not worth the money. Although the duck was processed (not done in house) it was very tasty

Hemsby's finest. Sure, there are other local Chinese restaurants, but China Boy is the favorite child, the son who got the best presents and brought up like a King. China Boy shines out like a beacon on the night when you see those neons, you know it's time for a very special meal. You'll drift into China Boy on a cloud of aroma, and you'll be in nirvana - and that's before you have even had a bite. Legend has it that Tyga wrote his song "Get a taste" when he visited Hemsby and ate at Boy seven nights in a row. It's just that damn good.

There is no competition in the immediate area so they serve ok food, but clearly cheap ingredients, small portions and no rice included with dishes where you would normally get rice (Chinese curry for example) and no complimentary freebies despite a big order (prawn crackers cost nothing to give away with a decent order). Overall it was edible, but wouldn’t compete in an area with a few similar takeaways. It stoped me feeling hungry for a short while. Oh, and have plenty of fluid on standby, it’s salty and after an hour you’ll notice how thirsty you are!

One of the best Chinese takeaways we have used, we even travel from Yarmouth to eat from there. Our meals have always been very tasty and good value for money.

We have tried all the local Chinese takeaways quite a number of times over the past few years most are ok average but up until 3 weeks ago China boy was on that list but I do not know what has changed but it is a cut above the rest now in my opinion the best around

Had this place recommended to me by a friend who swore it was the best place around. Pretty hyped up for some tasty food but was met with bare disappointment. The food was clean and relatively fresh, but the portions and price weren't great Not the worst but not the best. A solid average that I am led to believe treats locals better than peeps on the caravan parks.

Reviews on here are mixed and seem to be dependant on who answers the phone and the quality of the food appears to be variable.However, my mum and I were staying at Belle Aire park and ordered satay chicken, lemon chicken and egg fried rice and all of it was delicious. The girl who answered the phone was fine but it would have helped if she’d informed me it was cash only as I’d have got cash before turning up to collect!Portions were generous and we ate more than we should because it was so delicious.

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways we have had in a long time. The capital ribs are the best ever and the curry sauce is also the nicest.

This had to be one of the worst Chinese takeaway places we have ordered from. First they could not say what meals were Gluten free and which meals were Dairy free needless to say some of the family were unable to order and had to go elsewhere. My daughter wanted 2 chicken and beef fried rice but because it wasn’t on the menu (you could have chicken and pork and other combinations) had to order something else. The dish I chose was nice but not filling same with the beef curry and fried rice. The curry came in same size small carton as the rice but was the same price as the one from the Hong Kong Chinese in same village to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The girl taking the orders was next to useless. Next time we are in the area we will not be going there again.

Never been treated so badly over the telephone the young lady was so rude, it was a pleasure to know they have missed out on a massive order which would of been paid for over the telephone and up front but as she slammed phone down on me,we didn’t get that far.Manager need to employ staff with people skills.

Have used this place for years and the food is good however I will no longer use them as the “girl” who takes the phone order is so rude. No please or Thankyou. Barks the price of the order and delivery and tells ME I’ve given her the wrong address. I do know where I live! Shame as we have used them every Friday for years.

We tried a Chinese on main Rd in and Indian both weren’t worth buying, this one is however but it’s tucked away at the back of the arcades halfway down . After getting our order we rushed back to our chalet in anticipation, we weren’t disappointed it was lovely. We will definitely use again when we are up there again .

Absolutely the worst Chinese takeaway I`ve ever had. It`s not that the food was terrible it was just totally bland, no flavour whatsoever.£22 spent and most of it was thrown into the bin.will definitely never return.

I had the special curry and fried rice which was up there with the best I’ve tasted excellent wide variety menu and prompt service would definitely recommend to Chinese food lovers.

We normally order from here all the time and it’s lovely but we ordered last Sunday night at 9; 40pm and we had duck that had gizzly bits in, the chicken balls I was unable to touch as cut one open and they were bright pink the same when cut the rest open. The only thing ediable was the chips and chow main weather this was because it was late and near closing I don’t know but it cost £22 and we couldn’t touch it

Excellent food, really happy with it. Sides also were fairly well packed rather than being propped up by damp vegetables like a lot of other Chinese takeaways. Really happy, only 4 stars however because it was probably too expensive for the amount we ordered.

This is a terrible takeaway and one to avoid. It's the worst I've ever visited in my life. It started with poor customer service. Even though they offer free delivery, was told "We don't deliver to Seadell Chalet Site", which is in the same road, but wouldn't give a reason. Then we were verbally abused by another customer, who called us "Foreigners". Never been called a foreigner in my own country before. So we waited for our order and others were served and got their food before us. Once back at our chalet, 2 rice dishes were missing, but when we tried to phone and tell them their mistake, they conveniently couldn't remember serving us? so no refund or replacement. 1 star for the food that we got.

We always use this chinese when we are on holiday in hemsby and surrounding areas. The food is the best around here by far! piping hot and fresh even after we have walked back to the campsite ( they don’t deliver there unfortunately) but the food is so good we don’t mind the short walk to get it. Polite and friendly staff who are more than happy to help with food intolerances, 5 stars from me :)

poor customer service, was told they won't deliver to a site which is a 5 min drive down the road! I offered to meet at entrance and they still said no. When I asked why they said "we just don't deliver there"

Food was ok. Not the best locally and its a bit pricey... i probably won't use them again if i am being honest. Gets you out of a muddle if you don't want to pay for delivery or drive a sort distance down the road but i think they make use of being in a tourist area rather than put effort into quality and service. Just my honest opinion.

Would recommend. Have a young family who tucked in heartily after a day out at the beach. Good food, plenty of it for a reasonable price.

We moved to the area earlier this year (2017) we have tried several Chinese takeaways but none matched the quality we had from our old location in South East London. A chap in our local pub recommended 'China Boy' for a decent takeaway. One evening we were returning from Norwich and decided to give China Boy a go, the shop front was very clean and tidy, 'Aku' (sorry if the spellings incorrect) the young lady taking the order was very polite and friendly. We ordered Chicken in yellow bean sauce with cashews, mushroom fried rice a pancake roll and one of their specialty dishes. The food is not cheap but the price is comparable to other Chinese takeaways in the area. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the food, but we went to one of the local hostelries to wait but the shop environment would have been more than adequate if you didn't want a quick pint. When we got home I said to my wife there doesn't look much for the price, when we dished up we found that there was plenty of food for the two of us but the best part was the taste it was exceptional, all the meats were perfectly cooked succulent and extremely tasty. We will be returning to China Boy in the very near future and hopefully the quality will be consistent. After our first experience of using China Boy I would highly recommend this takeaway.

Have eaten here back in 2016 all ok ordered again in June 2017 and was told we don’t deliver to holiday camps even though we weren’t staying at any holiday camp no explanation why either poor service which is a shame as the food is good

Can't fault this place, good value for money, well cooked and prepared food, great service will be returning the next time we visit.

On holiday at Winterton fancied a Chinese takeaway. Locals had recommended this one. We ordered Saturday evening and they delivered. Food was hot, promptly delivered and tasty. Would recommend and will use again.
