Wing Li in Great Yarmouth

We moved to the area last year and still haven’t found a Chinese takeaway that we all love. Tonight, We wanted to try out a new one. We chose wing li - and WHAT A MISTAKE! We ordered £47 worth of food for the family, which included sweet and sour chicken balls, two lots of chicken fried rice, satay chicken, chips, egg fried rice, bbq sauce, and a pancake roll. The satay chicken was just a bunch of chicken in a sweet and sour like sauce with lots of veg and little bits of peanut - only had hints of a real satay chicken. The chips were like fries, not proper Chinese chips, while the sweet and sour sauce itself looked curdled with little bits (not sure what they are) floating around in it. The “egg” fried rice tasted like just boiled rice fried for a couple of seconds. The quotation marks on the egg in the previous sentence was because the egg fried rice didn’t have any egg in it. The pancake roll was mushy as well as very very salty. And finally the bbq sauce was like a thick balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Nothing like bbq sauce whatsoever. To us, it was an absolute waste of almost £50 and I would not recommend whatsoever. I ended up giving the dog the egg fried rice and even he didn’t eat it - so that’s really saying something! However, if you do order from here, I hope your food was better than ours, or you’ll be going really hungry! Ps: the pic is of the sweet and sour sauce 🤮

Very good chinese food have used them for years very friendly people and do delivery or you can pick up

I just had a take away worth of £23 for two people usually it feels us up enough with other places but not today, I'm still hungry 🙄 it might be bacause we didn't eat a soup as it had no taste to it, like it has been mixed with water to add volume to the point it was just shrimps swimming between veggies. I don't like leaving bad reviews but you guys should start to season your food!! Kong pu chicken again no spicy at all, no much flavour in it. We liked the crispy, spicy wings at least they had flavour but they were tiny. On a plus side it was hot and quick.

I should read reviews properly next time….portions were dreadful to the point I went back to complain and the staff were abusive and said ‘well you’d pay that in a restaurant wouldn’t you’ quality of food wasn’t too bad in all fairness but I’ve had far better but again I’ve had worse. I won’t be using this place again. I think they take advantage of holiday makers and couldn’t care less about customer service, i feel they give poor portions to compensate for lack of local trade go a number of reason. Sorry guys but you need to sort yourselves out!!!

this is our go to Chinese. always hot and on time. amazing food. and good size portions staff are also very polite

What an absolute disgusting disappointment of a meal. I ordered from here as my current Chinese were really busy. Thought I’d try somewhere else for a change. BIG MISTAKE.! Chicken Satay came on skewers as requested but with no sauce or salad.... tasted rubbery, tasteless and just disgusting.... my husband said veg curry was ok though 😧

Wingli is my usual cloice over the years as they produce tradional Szechuan, Cantonese and Peking dishes to a high standard in a spotlessly clean kitchens. It is is family business and has trading in the Town for many years and I heartly recommend this to visitors and locals to sample from their well laid out Menu.

Highly recommended. Food amazing. Even after we were full we couldn't stop eating. Chicken balls superb. Chow mein brilliant. Chicken curry best ever tasted. Our 3rd anniversary meal (on holiday with kids) and it was fantastic.

Wow, just tried this place for first time, and it was great, wife liked it kids liked it and the Dog ;) all in all very good, the only criticism would be ......portion size ....needs to be abt 15% more, containers were not full but still a very good tasty meal

Podría empujar un cubo de Bisto con algunos fideos. No vayas. No cabe duda de que no es fresco. Hay mucho mejor comida para llevar a un mejor precio en yarmouth

Hard rice....chewy meat.....budget frozen chips. ...suggest you go to Iceland for a more authentic Chinese experience

So bad could not eat it! Slimy nasty muck my girlfriend was convinced the sweet and sour chicken was not chicken!
