Went here in 20203. Food wasn't great and the place was dirty! Went to Hensby in 2024 and it's completely close. It's the summer holidays so I'm not sure if sure its going to re-open??

The uks worst restaurant food shocking staff vulnerable on low wages owners cash only tax fiddlers. Should be closed down by Hmrc avoid at all costs. Don’t risk it

it was not a breakfast it was on a plate the hole place was filthy breakfast was worth 2 pience and thats been king never ever again will we set foot in that place close it down

Came last year and it was awful. Hoping that improvements had been made but it's actually worse. This business has huge potential,but these people just want to make a quick tax free buck by only employing children and taking cash. They couldn't care less if people hate it as there is always another suckered to go there the next day. Be embarrassed if you own this business as its filthy and your food is something out of the 70s. For the sake of the village sell your business to someone that will make a go of it and take pride in there work.

Ordered the big breakfast and it was swimming in grease, bacon had black bits on it, the sausages tasted funny and the eggs weren't cook properly, my son had a surf and turf burger on another occasion and the lettuce was covered in flies. Place seems to be run by teenagers and its not very clean in there. Turned me off going back in there

Have you ever wondered how clean a Turkish strippers posing pouch is? Then boy do I have a treat for you! Welcome to the Hollywood diner, where they serve crusha American milkshakes, there’s more flies inside than a junkies drug den, and more blood and stool in the toilets than in a mortuary drip tray. Average age of the staff is around 11 years old, and they wouldn’t know cleanliness if it ripped their nipples off. Unfortunately I have to go back as my shoe stuck to the floor as I left, and it’s probably still there, which doubles the value of the property. Food was ok, have spoken in lard bubbles since, and had a triple bypass from the onion rings, but hey, that’s American food for you. Congratulations Hemsby, you’re on to a winner here, you’ve managed to imitate American diners impeccably, apart from the food, staff, hygiene, drinks, and customer service skills. Employ an adult already.

This was not nice at all on entering should have left, tables with all left food on not been cleared. When they were cleaned the ones that plates but no food on table just relayed without wiping with antibac. Ordered two breakfast, had to listen out for number, when they come OMG fished up on plate not nice plum tomatoes with beans mixed in, eggs fried Rick hard not runny, sausages well they were so hard either pre cooked and nuked in microwave or left too long in airfryer or oven, there was no sausage meat left. Bacon well working round food defiantly been cooked in old oil all black and salty. Family across from us left there’s saying it was disgusting. I would have gave it one point only for the fried slices of potato, we both didn’t eat ours as disgusting. Staff need to be more on the hall clearing tables and wiping, kitchen well change the chef worst I have ever had. Place needs a re dock ration wallpaper coming off and booths looking tired and worn. Just like a giant cafe. Will never be returning ever.

Not impressed at all. The service was beyond poor, staff miserable and hygiene absolutely vile. Person taking the orders used her teeth to open multiple bottles, used hands to scoop ice whilst handling money. We got a breakfast and a few things were missing from the order (fried egg, fried toast) I also had some shell in my scrambled egg. They didn’t have everything on their menu. For example they had no baguettes and no meet for the roast dinners. Will definitely NOT be returning here for food again.

We sat outside and we were quickly greeted by a friendly smiling waitress. It didn’t take long for our roast dinners to arrive. Everything was piping hot and so delicious served with a nice thick gravy. ( late review as forgot name of here) . Will be coming here again this year .

Popped into here as i was feeling peck-ish one Sunday afternoon. Wasn't impressed to be honest. The staff was miserable, the food was basic and the record placemats - most of them were bent obviously due to hot plates! They only accept 'Cash Only', which is a bit suspicious. When you order you have a number on your receipt, an they call the number out and you put your hand up and they bring your food to you. I ordered a drink off of the menu and they did not have it, so i had to opt for a £2 can of pop instead. My food order was missing onion rings, i left it an couldn't be bothered to argue the cause. The person who brought my food - i have seen more life in a tramps vest honestly, his customer service skills were lacking immensely, a smile would not have gone a miss. If anybody looked like they did not want to be anywhere, it was this lad. We even had to ask if it was possible if we could have knives and forks!! The fact that you could count the amount of diners in there on one hand and still have spare fingers tells its own story really.

Fab food everytime and super friendly staff. Ate here nearly everyday of my holiday and will be back next year. Yes the decor is old and it needs a refurb, but don't let that put you off. The food is great value and has enough variety to be able to return. The breakfasts are top notch 👌

I think 1 star is a little bit generous for this so called eating establishment. We visited on a Saturday and it was empty this should of been our sign to leave but no we thought let’s give it a go.. the inside was absolutely filthy with left over food and plates all over the place, condiments all over the table and grease and crumbs all in the crevasses of the sofas (which are absolutely destroyed btw) the food lacked any flavour other than oil that clearly needed changing. The staff were nice enough but I fail to believe this establishment could ever pass a food hygiene visit? Everything was filthy in a way I’m glad the food wasn’t edible because I really believe I would of became unwell from eating here. Avoid.

Popped in for a light bite at lunchtime with my wife and daughter, I had a "small breakfast and a coffee and the girls had tuna salads, my breakfast was very good and well cooked, the coffee was excellent. When the tuna salds arrived jaws dropped, they were massive and really well put together both agreed it was a really nice meal. The only downside (and very minor) was, we sat in a booth, the table legs were a bit awkward and the seats could do with more padding but we would definitely come here again.

I really wish I could rate this place a zero as it was probably the worst restaurant if you can even call it that I have ever stepped foot into for a start no card payments, secondly the wait to order was very long then right next the table we were sat on there was a member of staff weighing and mixing some sort of Ingredients no clue what it was but white dust was blowing all around the table and onto ours this is definitely something customers should see and should have been done in the kitchen or another suitable place away from customers, the food took over an hour to be served and when it arrived it was served by kitchen staff with no masks on I couldn’t believe how terrible this restaurant was I really just wanted to walk out but I’m sure they wouldn’t have given us a refund. The food was sloppy and of a low standard plates were dirty overall just a very unsanitary place and the staff were minging just glad I don’t have to go back ran out as soon as we have eaten a couple mouthfuls and realised it was filth :(

Will not return again. We waited well over an hour for a prawn roll and chips. When it came the roll was rock hard!!! And the chips were cold and tasted of grease! Well what can I say for a start of cash only with covid about is a joke ordered a sausage bap and sausage and tomato with brown sauce. Waited a ridiculous amount of time for such a small order and they only had 1 customer who was already eating. Was given 3 containers in a carrier bag as had take away by the time I got to the car nag was swimming in tomato juice for some crazy reason they had given me a carton of tomato rather than put on the batch then not told me so great start I'm now covered my clothes included in tomato juice. No brown sauce on rolls sausages poor quality and hard all food given to the nearest bin. Went here as an alternative to our usual haunt and was pleasantly surprised, not only was the food very good to eat but also fantastic value for money. Sam our waitress was knowledgable, pleasant and cheerful, the restaurant is bright and decorated to promote its name. Lovely experience, nothing too much trouble and special needs were catered for. We needed Sunday lunch somewere as our original plan fell through. Saw a sign here for 2 roast dinners for £10.. well how bad can they be? lets go! Soon, signed in track and trace, and was shown an area to take our pick of tables. Ordered the 2 roast dinners, had a choice of beef, pork or turkry. We both chose turkey. There was a fairly long wait and the waitress forgot our drinks order... (not forgot to bring it,but forgot what it was lol(or couldn't read her own writing lol)When the food arrived it was massive!!!! one could have easily fed the two of us. Everything on the plate was hot. I have read about shop bought yorkies... so what? The icecream is from a tub and not freshly made same applies to yorkies! it does not reduce the quality! Definately excellent value for money. We left feeing full and happy.

Myself and my boyfriend ate out here twice - once for lunch and once for breakfast. The “big” breakfast was lovely and filled us for the day! I also had a baguette which came with crisps + salad - also very nice! Spacious, spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Didn’t get to try the cakes but they looked delicious! Would definitely return!

Burgers are the cheapest ones you’ll find on the supermarket shelf, dry and tasteless. Hotdogs the same, the sandwiches were fine for the kids as was the side salads, my wife didn’t eat any of her hotdog and she loves them. Three people sent stuff back whilst we were there. Could not fault the staff though. In short you get what you pay for.

We visited this restaurant during August and couldn't believe the number of staff employed here! Yet the table was dirty and there were no knifes and folks ready to take.we visited during lunch time, so you would have expected them to be in full swing, but most of the staff were just stood around talking or sat down on their phones. The food was not too bad, its what you would expect from a cafe. The portion sizes were quite large and the food tasted good. Unfortunately I dont think I will be returning as cleanliness is a big factor for me.

We have been regular patrons of the Hollywood Diner for a number of years, but today, as I queued in the socially distanced queue, I became gradually concerned at the growing lack of adherence to standard hygiene practice. The girl on the till (I've always wondered why they are cash only?) also makes the drinks (cash and consumables without gloves/hand wash?). This slows everything down to a snail's pace and allowed me to observe the young woman making up the cutlery sets without a mask, and the contact book which every diner was supposed to fill in with the same, unsanitised pen!The final straw came when I politely asked if they were partaking in the "Eat out to help out" Govt scheme. The touchy cash/drinks girl said no one in Hemsby was. When I said that a number of others were, and it was a real benefit to the customers, she said they were busy enough and I should go to one of the places that offered it, then!I left!

Went a few weeks ago & grabbed a frappacino to go. As usual, when offered too much choice I panicked and ordered a Choc one. OMG, so gorgeous & filling. Lots of flavour, Choc syrup AND cream.Went to Hemsby again today for some lockdown fresh air & decided to read the ice cream list BEFORE going in. Ferroro Rocher, don't mind if I do.... Only to be told they were out of this ice cream... Luvly staff member jumps in & whips me up a treat with Nutella, hazelnut syrup (?), ice cream, crushed nuts, Choc syrup.... I was on a sugar high for hours. Hubby & his son had a banana frappacino & a strawberry sundae. All made fresh to order & gorgeous. This diner has luvly outdoor seating and are fully adhering to social distancing inside by blocking off some tables/booths. Try them out, you won't be disappointed.

Went here for breakfast. Bit run down but that gives it its charm! My daughter loved it as had an ice cream waffle sandwich for breakfast. Big portions!

Four of us visited 15th July 2020.Due to the fact they don't serve Vegetarian/Vegan Sausage, in the end only one of us had food.Tatty, dirty ink stained tables, seats with no padding & a general grubbiness to the whole place.With lockdown restrictions being relaxed just a week ago, this is not what you want or expect. :(

We arrived a family of 10 we had two tables we was sitting near the door and had to move as they opened the door and said it can't be shut as the door was hanging off.the staff all looked like they didn't want to be there the tables cutlery everywhere was dirty.the food was nasty cheap would have got better in a back Street cafe.the music was so loud.I was so disappointed as it could be such a nice place but no would not recommend at all if I could have give a no star I would have yuk.

We visit this cafe on a regular basis whenever in the area which is usually 2-3 a month. In the last 5 years of doing so I don't remember ever having a complaint. The food is always very good and very filling with good portion sizes. We visited again today and as usual left very full and very happy. Today we had my elderly mother with us and this was her first visit and she spent the rest of the day complimenting the breakfast she'd had. Thank you,we'll be back very soon.

One of the few places with air con in Hemsby, good menu choices and very good portion sizes! I had a prawn sandwich and it was packed with prawns and very tasty

Came twice over a three day period as the other restaurant was not open . I’m totally shocked that on the first visit there was a dirty nappy in the toilet window ( men’s ) surrounded by flies . The second visit on day three the same dirty nappy was in fact still in its same place ( surrounded by even more flies ) whilst I appreciate the nappy was not placed there by the restaurant there is absolutely no excuse for it to still be there three days later !!!’ Disgusted

It was quite busy at 11.00am and we queued for about 5 minutes to order. We picked up a menu in the queue and it was really greasy and sticky.Sat down after ordering and the table was also sticky and greasy. We had to wait about 25 minutes for the food. It was a big portion, well presented with nice coleslaw and fresh salad. Chips were nice and I had the chilli dog which was big and very filling. The burgers were big standard, nothing special.So food was good but tables and menus could really do with being cleaned better.Staff work hard here and most are very young. They do OK.

Went for a jacket potato 7/8 at 6/30 .when it arrived after long wait we put mayo on it started to to eat it it was stone cold on calling the waitress who put her finger in it agreed it was cold & took it away . Expecting to get a fresh one wrong just reheated the old ones remembering the waitress had her finger in the food zero for hygiene. This place has gone downhill from this time last year. We came here for a breakfast (3 adults) one of us ordered a tea. It came and looked like dirty dish water while we was waiting for our food the table beside us had found a false nail in their food.. they told staff at the till and after they had walked away, they just laughed totally disgusting. By the looks of it they didn’t do much, I didn’t see them go back to the table. The food was cheap crap with no flavour. The fried egg was hard, the bacon was chewy and the potato slices were cold. The girl behind the counter could have cracked a smile and not seemed like we was asking for a lump of gold when we asked for ice in the drinks!! Also no staff was wearing gloves when handling food and ice cream. Maybe if they employed staff over the age of 15, they would have better reviews. It’s safe the day we will not be returning any time soon!!!

Me and my partner had a meal here and normally when i have a fry up I have a coffee and so does my partner we thought we'd shake things up and have a glass of coke it's the best fry up we've ever brought would definitely recommend this jewel a visit

Took a visit to the diner whilst staying in hemsby. Seen the mixed reviews on here so decided to give breakfast ago. I had the big breakfast other family members had the mega and others had pancakes.

Food fantastic but son had mega breakfast, sauce bottle top obviously not on properly, sauce went all over his breakfast, table and his clothes, waitress just took plate away to replace meal and we had to clean mess up ourselves because she didnt come back to do it, no sorry or compensation for his clothes, i would have expected to have a refund for the breakfast, very disappointed as we love the food

Stopped for a afternoon treat staff friendly and fast food. Lovely ice cream sundaes jaffa cake, strawberry and white chocolate a real must try for a treat.

Had wanted to come in for dinner but they closed before we could get here. Decided to come for breakfast and so glad that we did! The ordering was simple and easy the staff polite and nothing was too much trouble. Hot drinks made in front of you and piping hot.

Family own a chalet in hemsby and very often we went to Hollywood for breakfast last year 2018. This morning we got up and had a walk down to hollywood for breakfast. When we arrived we was surpirsed to see how quiet it was. When we went to order the young girl who was taking the orders seem to have no clue on what she was doing and got our order wrong at least 5 times!! We go to the table to them realise we are a drink missing to notice the girl didn’t even put it through! One member of my family ordered a meal off the extra breakfast for example bacon, egg and beans. This would have gone through separate on the receipt yet the girl didn’t let the kitchen know how to plate our breakfasts up. This very young girl brought out our breakfasts which was all plated up wrongly. The girl was very rude and had a very bad attitude towards one member of my family. The staff are all very young it’s almost like it’s being run by school children which is fine as long as they know what they are actually doing. I was also very disgusted to see that 5 members off staff went out the back to smoke, come back in and go straight back into the kitchen. We actually ended up speaking to the boss who was very friendly and offered all off us a free drink but we was so upset with the rudeness from the waiter we refused and quickly left after. It’s such a shame as we loved going to Hollywood last year.
