Cozies in Great Yarmouth

A regular local favourite. On the last three ocassions we have been part as of a large party and despite that the quality and service never fall below excellent. Top burgers and good value for money.

Every time you go its the same good value tasty food with lovely staff. A good honest restaurant. parking can be a problem we usualy park at supermarket and walk over.

Went to Yarmouth for the summer fireworks, planned on going to Yankee Traveller(been before) but I believe it’s shut down now but we’re glad it has as Tripadvisor lead us to Cozies. We were greeted by a lovely waitress and what I believe to be the owners wife? The decor was classic burger joint with old Hollywood stars photos etc, our order was taken promptly, drinks came fast, starters were quick and hot. Mains came out a few minutes after starters cleared away, lovely burgers, tasty ingredients and sauces. Music was great, waitress couldn’t be more helpful. Spree book has a bogof voucher. We go to Gorleston-on-Sea regularly so will definitely be back. We prefer to support local businesses.

Ive actually logged back into my account to write this but it was worth it. 1ST time here with friends and the kiddies, we got there not long after it opened so service was swift, waitress was lovely and kindly offered us colouring books when she saw we were about to lose our cool 😂. Great food too! Had the steak meal medium rare, the manager came out to check if I knew about the sauce I ordered which was a good touch because I was then able to ask for it on the side, my son then shared it with me which he enjoyed. Would definitely return.

If you are as snob don't visit! Sure, the decor and style is decades old..but....but.... The food, think great diner food, plus fresh fish is excellent. Big portions, hot, cooked perfectly... Waiting staff really lovely. This is our 'go to' place when we are hungry and want good food

The bar area was quite roomy, restaurant clean and comfy. Waitresses very kind and efficient. Ordered our meal, everyone was very pleased, my burger was delicious 😋 Reasonably priced with tasty cheesecake for dessert. Parking was a pain but there was a street nearby which most people used. Decor in need of update ! Definitely will visit again , great food and friendly staff. Thank you

Have not been here for years as i have lived in Yarmouth up until the last couple of months & it was always easier to go to Yankee/Fatso's. but having come here for a quick & easy evening meal we were not disappointed at all. Fresh burgers that were full of flavour & practically fell apart as we were eating them (goes to show that they were not some processed rubbish) the staff were lovely & they were reasonably busy for a tuesday night. Would be lovely to see them bring back their 241 deals on the burgers as they are now one of, if not the only place in the area to get a decent burger now Yankee has closed.

`I haven't been here for ages but it took me right back from when I first walked in. It has a very vintage / retro feel but it feels really cosy. The staff are really friendly and although really a burger 'joint' the whole night was lovely.

We visit here once a week when they run the two for one burger deals, the burgers are he best around and one the deal its cheaper than eating at home, Shame they have stopped them again as had to use elsewhere:(

14 of us from the lifeboat shop went for our Christmas meal and had an excellent time the food was very good and the service very good too the staff are friendly and helpful and the whole experience was delightful Well worth a visit Great

A known quantity. Every time you go its the same good service and tasty food. I don't know if they ever change the menu but to be honest its all good anyway. If you want good tasty food and leave feeling full this is worth a try.

I have been going to Cozies for as many years as I can remember and although some people complain it hasn’t changed decor wise in all that time, I always think “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. The staff are always happy, helpful and create a friendly atmosphere. I booked a table for myself and husband on our wedding anniversary at the last minute and even then the staff managed to put some balloons and banners on our table along with some flowers my husband had run in as a surprise for me! The food is always good. The burgers are always well cooked and tasty. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff and I’ve never been in and not had great service. They cater for large parties as well as more intimate dinners. The background music isn’t deafening like it is in most “popular” American burger restaurants. All in all I love this place, always have. Well done guys, you do a fantastic job!

We popped in tonight for a burger after seeing the voucher in todays paper, we were a little disappointed to find its not available for use until next week, But the burgers we had were very tasty and plenty on the plate, will return soon on the 2 4 1 deal ..

I love a good burger and this place is the place to go to for good burgers. the burgers come with dressings that I had never had before so it was hard to choose which to have but I think I would have been please with what ever I would of had, cant complain about anything food and staff were top notch.

There was no drinks menu on the table and when asked for one they said they didn’t have one and they only stated 3 available drinks. The portions are generous, however the chips tasted like typical greasy kebab chips and all our steaks weren’t cooked to how we asked. There was very slow service, we waited 15 minutes before ordering food, 30 minutes after being handed the desert menu and then 20 minutes to pay the bill until we walked and handed it to them. We all had finished our drinks and had to call a waitress over since they didn’t offer after putting out food on the table. All the staff were busy chatting to each other instead of doing there jobs. Over priced for the quality of food and atmosphere, will not be returning.

Great service, family favourite, excellent quality burgers and variety, long good quality reputation amongst locals! Retro style American .... Enjoy!!!

We’ve always loved cozies so we decided to have my brothers surprise 21st birthday meal there. All the staff were lovely and really accommodating, (we were able to add two more people onto an already full table)! The food and service was brilliant as always!

Went here with a few friends food was ok, service very slow they weren't even that busy but I think it's about time for a bit of paint and new table and chairs I didn't want to move in the chair as I thought it would break just needs a makeover

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Large group of us went out for a work meal, despite the amount of us the food came out quick and hot! A little hiccup but was quickly sorted and massive apologies (though we didnt mind). Will be returning 😊

Visited for the first time after being told about by friends was brilliant burger was brilliant quality loads of chips for clean plates says it all . The chef even brought out more chips free of charge not that we needed them. Excellent service very friendly will definitely visit again

Visited December 2017 - Table for 3 booked for a midweek catch up. Drinks were served promptly and order taken for meal. Large, tasty meals - we’ll come here again.

Cozies restaurant Gorleston, one of our favourite places to eat excellent burger meals , have been using this place for years now and never had a bad experience or meal ,would highly recommend easy parking in Morrisons car park (front part is public car park...

One of our local eateries three of us popped in randomly on an early Saturday evening and were seated straight away. We all had a different burger meal which all arrived superbly cooked with piping hot additions and plates. Excellent service and great value. We go back again and again...can't do better than that

Vaya a cozies regularmente. El personal era muy agradable. Estupenda comida. Me gusta especialmente las hamburguesas (nada), caseros. Medio ambiente agradable y relajante con 50 s/60 s decoración estrellas de cine. Bonito bar cuando esperando mesa, pero normalmente no tiene tiempo de espera.

Fui un viernes por la noche con la familia. El personal es agradable. Hamburguesas están bien con agradable salsas. La cocina cierra bastante temprano (10:00).

Ambiente encantador, excelente relación calidad-precio, grandes porciones, personal atento, buena relación calidad-precio. Hay una amplia gama de alimentos, desde hamburguesas hasta pollo y carne dulce y agria borguignon.

He estado en cozies varias veces a lo largo de los años y siempre entregan una gran noche con buena comida. . .

Just got back off holiday so went to my favourite little restaurant. Good food & fantastic staff. Long may it continue.

We came here during the week for lunch. The restaurant wasn't very busy which meant speedy service. We all went for different burgers, all burgers were cool great, good quality burgers and big portions of chips. The food was cooked quickly and the owner was friendly. Will definitely come back!

I have been here twice this month after not eating here for quite sometime. The food is good and the staff are excellent.

A lovely small restaurant. Quite a varied menu including a good veggie option... I recommend the veggie nut loaf. Really friendly staff.

We have passed Cozies hundreds of times over the last 13 years. We went there as a matter of convenience, but this will not be the last visit. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, great food and good portions.

As part of a group of six adults, we enjoyed our food here at cozies very much. With a quite extensive menu to choose from, All starter's were quite large and of good value. The main meals were of equal standard and all cooked to perfection as were the deserts, well worth a visit.

For a night out, eating and drinking with a friend, while the wives are away, this is ideal.Before dining here, we like the choice of local pubs within a short distance, and it's close to the high street, and suitable for many tradesmen staying at the hotels/Travellodge nearby.My favourite burger sauce is the blue cheese, it flows! And it's gorgeous, really complimenting the meaty burger. The chips are middle size and very good too.Washed down with the house red wine, we leave happily ready to return regularly.

Homely welcoming restaurant with extensive and varied menu, their specialty being burgers, the only place I know where you can have a Beijing burger. The decor is 1940's, 50's movie stars (Marilyn Munroe has her own wall).

We always enjoy goung to cozies with the family. Good selection on menu and good choice for children. Lovely food and friendly staff.

Having been here over a year ago I was throughly looking forward to a meal with friends. We sat down and instantly asked for drinks but had no drink menu so had to settle for something we assumed they would have. In minutes we were asked for out order and when we said we wasn't ready the waitress didn't look happy and said "we have a table in at half 7 and 8". Making us feel like it we were and inconvenience not being ready. Starters were nice, asked for a change which didn't happen however the chef apologised. Mains were lovely too in very good portions. Like other guests though we were not offered any drinks after the initial one. I feel some improvements are needed as the service impacted on the very good food they serve.

Bad service. Overcooked chips, dry burger. Bill was priced up after using 2 spree vouchers, then when paying they decided the bill was incorrect and added £10 on instead of accepting their initial mistake and accepting the payment. Will certainly NOT return.

I am writing to you today to complain about the unacceptable treatment that I relieved in your restaurant this evening. The service which me, my partner and our two friends received tonight was by far the worst I have come across, I could have given better customer service at the age of 15. First of all we were seated closest to the door, we were sat directly outside your kitchen and payment desk leaving us no privacy to discuss matters. Secondly when you did come over with our menus and offered us our drinks, we had been given no drinks menu. You then stated you had no drinks menu yet had no bar to go towards either, we asked what drinks you had and was given a choice of coke, lemonade or j20 my own fridge stocks more than that. When we got around to ordering our mains and I asked for my burger well done I was told your burgers were freshly made, this sounded lovely. However the moulded piece of processed meat on our plates was quite clearly not freshly prepared. I would also like to point out the incompetence of the service because all four drinks were empty half way through the meals, not once were we offered another. You did not come over and ask if our food was satisfactory nor did you come to collect our plates once we had finished they sat in front of us for 20 minutes. To make matters worse once we received our bill which a member of staff had written my partner went to pay. The lady behind the payment desk redone and changed the amount to pay three times. Once I had pointed out that another member of staff had already worked out the amount to pay and that was what my partner had come over to do so, I was spoken to in a horrible manor. I was being shouted out across a payment desk towards my table for all to hear, the atmosphere was very hostile and we were forced to pay to make the situation end.The women behind the payment desk handed my partner a menu and said "I'll let you keep this and here have a menu, because someone must be confused about the menu" I will state now very clearly. The confusion laid at fault with your staff for writing a bill out incorrectly. I will not be attending your restaurant again nor will I ever feel the need to recommend it! I hope in future you treat your customers with a little more respect and go the extra mile to make sure they are happy, your customers pay your wage.

I came here with my family and step family this July. The restaurant were very helpful with providing a table and catering for 11 people that we had in the end. They were also very friendly and had no problems with the four children we had with us playing while we waited for the food to arrive. The meal was really tasty and good value for the money we paid. The portions are big so if you are a light eater, I would recommend ordering a starter or two instead. We also had our twin babies with us in car seats to which they allowed us to keep on the floor beside us. I have had bad experiences with the other local restaurant tides in the past with them asking us to leave because of the noise from the children but this restaurant seems to be more understanding and helpful in regards to child guests. A great place for families!

Been going to Cozies since I was a child and even had the hog roast at my wedding reception. Great food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Love how it hasn't changed very quirky and enjoyable. This isn't for suits and nice dresses it's a burger/steak house but delivers and food is always top notch. Will continue to go and hope it's still about when my girls are older and they can tell people how I took them.

Enjoyed an evening meal here with six friends to celebrate a birthday.Lovely food, Good value prices and above all pleasant staff. Nothing too much trouble for them.Liked the decor!Definitely go again.

Went in this afternoon for a spot of lunch, was made to feel like Phillip the owner had known me for years, He was so friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic I had the Piri Piri burger and it was delicious. Fantastic atmosphere and great decor. Definitely will be visiting again.

The food was absolutely amazing, We had the burger....Amazingly cooked, fantastic serving size. Couldn't fault Cozies at all!

Living in surrey, I often visit family and we like to visit cozies. We always have great service and everyone is friendly. Food is always great, although there is always plenty on the plate so not always possible to clear them! Highly recommend.

We went today at lunchtime for a meal as my brother is staying a few days and going to Cozies is a must. Excellent burgers,wonderful wedges, crispy onion rings and great chips. All served with crispy lettuce freshly sliced tomatoes onion slices and cucumber in fresh baps. The service spot on as usual. We are always made to feel important and treated with respect. Not many places give this sort of service. Prices are reasonable and we love this place. Well done to all who make our visits so enjoyable.

Went to this restaurant about twenty years ago, went again yesterday, seems it's stuck in a time warp, decor hadn't changed a bit. I was in a party of seven, two of us did not get what we ordered, I ordered wedges and got fries someone else ordered deviled burger and got sweet n' sour burger. I'm very glad that I was the only one who didn't order a burger as they were awful! Obviously not freshly made by the chef as stated. They looked like pre formed pressed meat that were disguised by the most sauce that I've ever seen on a burger, I mean they were totally smothered in sauce. Can only think that was deliberate to hide the very poor quality meat that was very rubbery in texture. Couldn't recommend this place at all, won't be going back.

tried to get into two other restaurants without success came across cozies. we both ordered fillet steak medium which was lovely so tender and cooked just right if I had any reservations it was that there was too many chips and the salad could have been more interesting but apart from that staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very interesting with all photos of old movie stars from the 30's 40's and 50's lovely would go again

Booked last minute for my husbands birthday & it wasn't a problem fitting the 10 of us in on a Wednesday night. Although a bit of a drive from Lowestoft it was worth it.We parked in the Morrisons Carpark as nowhere to park on roadside. On arrival I went to kitchen area to ask if they could bring out our birthday cake after desserts which wasn't an issue, we were greeted in a lovely manor and offered drinks.I loved the way we were left to chat by the bar area & ordered the food there, the children were relaxed and weren't fed up being forced to sit at the table.We were called through to the table just before the food was ready to come out and the staff had put up a banner & balloons on table which was a lovely touch. The children's meals were huge, suitable for any child up to 10-12years. It is a American style place to eat, so yes loads of chips with your food, but you can change these to a jacket potato or the fantastic wedges they do. The burgers are home made and full of flavour, not fat! All food was freshly cooked, I had SAS chicken (chicken poached in sweet & sour sauce) it's was lovely. The staff brought out the cake and were kind enough to bring a knife & tin foil for me to wrap up a piece of cake for everyone to take home. It was a very relaxed place to go so lovely for families. Will defiantly go again.

We visited last week, a warm welcome awaits you when you arrive. The staff are very friendly. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. You can tell they make the burgers themselves as they are so tasty. Very highly recommended :)

We went for a family meal here and it turned out to be the best meal we've had out for ages! The staff were very attentive and the food didn't take long at all. The burgers can be cooked any way you want them, and the selection of toppings offered is very good. So many wonderful dishes to choose from, not just "fast food" but others such as beef stroganoff, bourguignon, chicken supreme, sweet n sour and a good vegetarian menu as well as a great kids menu. We will definitely be back!

As many have commented, portions are large, think American Diner and you are there! We popped in for a quick meal and ordered drinks with our food and both came together a short while later, so no complaints on service or speed! The burger however was very compacted and had a dense texture and this did affect the eating experience. I am no burger expert but this would not be how I would not want to make a burger. The fries, and my wife's wedges were spot on. The salad garnish crisp and fresh. The burgers just weren't right. They were cooked well done as requested. I am not sure if it is because they were cooked from frozen or the butcher who made them over compacted them! My wife left half of hers and sadly we won't be going back for burgers, however next time we might try something different off the menu! Staff were attentive and our tip reflected their service not the food!

Brilliant restaurant. Best burger I've had in ages. Pure beef- no onion. Waitress very helpful and happy to adapt meals for fussy eaters or those with complicated dietary needs. Went away for a long weekend and ended up eating here 2 nights. Recommend that you book Friday and Saturday nights as it is very popular for families and couples alike.

Came here for a dinner on a Wednesday evening. We weren't particularly hungry so ordered a cheese and onion omelette and friend ordered the chicken with BBQ sauce. The waitress is heavily pregnant but look fed up and like we our custom was placing a burden on her. When my meal arrived I was very surprised and disappointed that it had mushrooms in, I even checked the menu on my phone to check I hadn't made a mistake, and no where does it say an omelette with mushrooms. She never came back to check if it was ok otherwise I would have mentioned it but even when she came with our bill she seemed to unapproachable and moody! First and last time I'll be eating here.

Lovely burgers and wedges. Excellent service and always look after us. Prices are reasonable and the beer is nice and cold.

Simplistic fare at affordable prices. Friendly staff and views of food preparation. Not austetatious. Easy on the pocket. Feel at home here . Many returning customers time and again . No hurry for your table . Permanent staff who do their very best to please,what more can you ask...

The menu may not be the most comprehensive in the world, but what they do they do very well! The food is always superb, and the portions are massive, if you leave here hungry there's something wrong with you! Staff are always very friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and it's very well priced. As a repeat customer i'd definately recommend Cozies!

Phil and his team did a fantastic job at catering for everyone's needs, an awesome hog roast and BBQ arranged for a 40th Birthday on a miserable weather day in June. The food was fantastic and they did an amazing job making sure I was disappointed. Thank you, we had an great night...

I came across Cozies by accident and was rewarded with a pleasant meal and friendly service. The food was well presented and tasty. The decoration features black and white pictures of film stars and films from a bygone age. Worth a visit.

I Liked everything about the place and disliked nothing about the place. It is central near the town center staff are very nice and friendly. The food is very good.

We have had better meals from IcelandAll food frozen and put off by constant sounds of microwave I would not visit here again and would refuse a doggie bag as we are not that cruel

Just had another meal at cozies,it's was delicious. Blue cheese burger and fries,my sister had chilli burger and my mum garlic burger with prawns. We would of licked the plates if the restaurant wasn't full. My sister also had a really nice sweet,lemon curd ice cream, it was heavenly. The waitresses as lovely as ever. Really lovely evening.

Called up on the off chance to see if we could get a table, of course they had one and reserved it for us :)Had a 5* meal, service great and friendly!Will be returning soon!

We had an excellent meal here, the food was well presented and boiling hot, to the point that I burnt my tongue... The only let down were that the serving staff were not looking too happy and seemed to rush your plates away as soon as you put your cutlery down. A smile seemed to be missing. Otherwise very enjoyable

We visited this restaurant as the service is always brilliant and so is the food. Home made fillings for the burgers unlike some other places. We shall be returning again :)

Heard allot about this place since living in great yarmouth and seen vouchers in local paper every week.Myself and my friends decided to eat here before seeing a theatre show.I found the restaurant small but cosy and nice atmosphere...waiting staff friendly and efficent.The food portions sizes are good and very similar to Yankee traveller or fatso if living in great yarmouth. The burgers come in 2 sizes 4 oz n 8 oz I personally found the 4 oz was sufficient for myself.Desserts I found was alil over priced but nice :) Would go back again more inclined with a voucher tho

We had another lovely meal at Cozies,starters were great,butterfly prawns, ribs and taramasalata. The kid as meal we really nice too. My sister had chicken in a creamy white wine sauce,which was so good,and I had grilled plaice with lemon and olive oil. Waitresses lovely as always, really friendly, will be back again vey soon.

Team night out on 25 September and as always, Cozies did not disappoint. Huge portions, food freshly cooked to order, friendly staff and quirky decor. My blue cheese burger was seriously yummy. Definitely the best burgers in town!

After a day trip in Yarmouth and exciting the kids to an "American dinner" went to book a table for six people (good business for a Monday night???) after we discovered them on the Tastecard website, only to be eventually told after waiting on the phone for ages that they now don't accept Tastecard as it's "too much hassle"

Cant really complain stuff were friendly, food was absolutly lovely and fresh thoroughly enjoyed it, my only downfall was the flat glass of coke but other then that ill sefo be returning

Visited with friends, expectations were good and menu looked tasty, sadly this wasn't the case for some in our group, burgers tasted greasy bun was greasy and chips were just warm, steak dish was lovely desserts too but sadly drinks order was wrong but server soon put right, decor needs updating very 80s, restaurant facilities very clean, as was bar and service is very friendly and polite, will return this year as my personal experience was good on night

My wife and I first went to COZIE'S about 7 years ago and we were not very impressed, decided to give them another go and boy what a change. The service and food could not be faulted and the prices were very good. We will certainly be going back again.

Nice venue, good service and atmosphere but the worst burgers ever. I don't know the meat content of the burgers, but I think it is very low. What a shame, could have been a place to visit often.

Cozies is a hidden diamond. Off the beaten track of Gorleston but well worth a visit. The meal is always of a good standard. We visited for my Mum's 70th and had an excellent meal

I am in the catering trade and know when a burger is not made on the premises. Was informed by staff that burger were made by the chef-but very disappointed to find it was one of those formed burgers. tough and dry. Sad really

Yes! it is not the first time! Again the same excellent menu and same quality. I do recommend crab claws and chilli burger. Nice service staff. Great atmosphere.

as always Cozies never lets you down with a good meal if you like your meat then Cozies is the place to go steaks and burgers to die for, and the deserts are just as good lots of ice cream so if you find yourself in Gorleston hunt out Cozies you will not be disappointed.

Five of us stumbled on Cozies whilst away on a work trip. The menu seemed simple yet promising from outside so we headed in & dived back into the future. The chef greeted us at the bar, up selling his "fantastic sirloin" which had been popular all night. We asked where the steak was from, expecting one of a multitude of answers... Perhaps Aberdeen Angus, Herefordshire, or even Norfolk's finest?? His answer was Makro (which isn't a farm... but a wholesalers). Nevertheless, he brought a sample steak out for us to view and to be fair it looked OK for the money he was charging so three of us ordered it, the other two ordering burgers.Starters came, one of them was wrong (Taramasalata instead of prawn cocktail). All starters were served on a plate with doylees, as if we'd gone round our nans for dinner.All 5 main courses were smothered in a rich but extremely heavy hollandaise based sauce which ruined the meal straight away. The portions were huge so value for money was good, but it all looked way too much.Overall, a good effort by the chef but a massive fail instead.

We arranged Phil and his team at Cozies to carry out the barbecue at our wedding in September, I cant compliment Phil and his team enough on the quality of the service and the food. We had people visiting from all over the country and everyone complimented the BBQ. I would recommend Cozies for their BBQ every time. Thanks a lot Danny and Helen x

all our family had our usual xmas eve meal at cozies. meals (x10) could not be faulted, even though restaurant was extremely busy. good value for money and exceptional waitress service. well done to phil and all his hard working team..

Another night out in the busy town of Gorleston with yet another mistress. This time we found a nice little restaurant just off the high street away from the crowds initially we were weary of entering the restaurant as a lad was sat outside in a run down escort with blue led lights illuminating both the inside and outside, he looked like a pasty Pablo Escobar and was wearing a stained Ralph Lauren hat he made a comment about "thingsh" which we ignored as we entered the poorly decorated establishment. The waitresses seemed pleasant although difficult to understand and soon we had received our starters and just as we began to eat them there was a loud noise which managed to empty the entire restaurant. An idiot in a red car had decided to crash in to the wall while singing out of his window with a loudspeaker, everything seemed under control so we returned to our table to continue with the meal which finished without further incident. On the way out the pasty individual surprised us again by asking us to come for a drive with him and "TONE" his cat which was sat next to him in the front seat, we decided to ignore him and returned to our vehicle before further incidents could occur.
