Every time we went to visit it was closed it was always our favourite restaurant

Absolutely love this place, food is great and well priced and cooked to how you want. The staff and the manageress are all very polite, kind and very helpful and welcoming. Also l like the fact that they only take cash and not card as they are a few companies keeping cashless from happening. Would highly recommend and over all the best restaurant in Hemsby

The weekday manager who is the owners daughter,is so polite and friendly,and helpful, always come here for food and drink when in Hemsby, all the staff are very polite and friendly and helpful. The food is cooked to your liking, so much to choose from on the menu. All round a very lovely and welcoming place to sit inside or outside to enjoy a meal and drink. Defiantly would recommend

We had a lovely meal here, the service was friendly, everyone had a great time. The restaurant is so cool inside takes you back into a Grease era.

Service was polite and friendly. It was cash only though, so we had to go find a cash point to eat here. I wished I hadn't bothered. The food was absolutely terrible. It's rare that everyone in my family doesn't like their food and couldn't finish it. It was very, very cheap quality product. Everything tasted as if taken from a packet mix or frozen product. Quite unpleasant to eat. Shame really as the staff seemed really nice. Clearly an issue with stock that the owners choose to source.

DOES NOT TAKE CARD PAYMENTS! About a third full today, still took half an hour to get our order. Seating was tatty and uncomfortable. Food ok, and the young members of staff at the front were working very hard. Cups of coffee very small and far too strong. Unlikely to bother again !!

Overall, the food was ok abit greasy and small portions but decent for the price. Staff were polite and quick to serve us and clean the table afterwards. What we were not happy about was the noise , there's music blaring so loud you could barely talk to each other and children running around the place. The place could do with a freshen up on interia as chairs and booths seemed to be falling apart.

AVOID AT ALL COST... Learn to clean your tablets, you disgusting people!!! grubby black, we had to clean the tablets , shocking tablets unstable, and fifthy you should be ashamed of yourselves.. change of owners... lazy staff dirty black under record discs!! It's utterly shocking.. environmental issues surrounding food hygiene. Tablets rock and unsteady.. ripped seating. Worn out place. Change of ownership, and you can tell it too.

Food portions are huge even the small but its not bad. Quite expensive for 4 meals tho. The bacon has a weird chewy thing to it. Half of the items we out of stock

I found a black hair in my food and my food was swimming in grease and water don’t recommend on going. Half the food and drinks wasn’t available and when asked for gammon the woman on the till asked if it was ham!! It’s run by children between 12-16.we got told one of our meals was waiting on the side for 20 minutes!! Unacceptable

Our food was disgusting, ordered pie and chips and the pie was burnt could only eat half of it, my partners, who I ordered at the same time as, food came out when my food had gone cold,the waitress said that his food had been sitting there and she wasn’t sure why, his plate was missing food and his food was burnt. My friends who had ordered spaghetti bolognaise weren’t very happy to find a swimming pool at the bottom of their bowl… plus a hair in one of their plates of food. The way the food is taken out doesn’t seem that great either, they bring the food out of the kitchen and shout your order number, and when you try to get their attention you get ignored. Considering how empty it was you’d think they’d pay a little more attention. All of the staff were children, I didn’t see one adult. Every item we wanted off of the menu was unavailable so left us with little choice. And the lady behind the toll didn’t know what gammon would be on the till and asked us ?

We’ve been coming to this diner for years, we came today well what can I say! Avoid!! The kids meals were microwaved no ice cream afterwards not the end of the world but the quality and portion sizes have gone down hill, the place used to be heaving with people it was us and a two other groups. Needs a good clean

First time we’ve visited for a while, hoping it had improved. But it hasn’t!! Woman taking orders chewing away and very noisy every time she took an order- probably because there was a radio blaring ridiculously loud just behind her - what happened to the old rocky jukebox music? Still got the old ridiculously unhealthy LPs as place mats (thought I’d read these had gone) and the tables and chairs are getting very tatty. The food was ok, but the dessert cakes have gone! We used to be regulars here pre-covid times but it is very disappointing now. Has it changed hands?

Nice food shame it shuts so early

Do not bother! The place is run by adolescent children! I’m 20 myself and honestly all the staff were younger than me! Not an adult in sight! Then at 5 o’clock they were shouting about being able to close because the kitchen staff said they could close at 5! Very unprofessional and turned away customers! No wonder the place was empty when they have that attitude. The decore was nice but that’s the only positive I have for this place. The Mac n cheese was just Mac! Tasteless! So all in all rubbish and I highly recommend you Stay Away!

Had to return food as it wasn’t cooked properly young lad just serving must of had a chip on his shoulder to go along with his attitude. Girls behind counter at least smiled when taking money and was polite. ( no wonder why small businesses don’t last with places like this )

The food was lovely but poor service,several wrong orders and bad attitude from staff.

Staff are rude, food isn't great and the seats are very uncomfortable if you choose to sit in Booth.

Poor service asked for bread with my breakfast and do not serve bread with a breakfast meal yet other customers had bread been lied to i will be specking with trading standards not upto standards you better think twice before lieing to me i do not recommed this place if you have experinced this bad level of service try beach cafe next to hemsby beach at least they will serve me better avoid hollywood diner its a rip off service no wounder the records need replaceing on tables food put on unbalaced service how can you eat with a spinning plate moving fix your records for a start.

Came in for food and drinks not expecting to pay £1.60 for a can of coca, if Harry Potter visited this facility he wouldn’t have the wand power to change the front door, me and my partner will never visit this facility again.

We went for a meal on 9/4/23, after waiting for 45 minutes for food it arrived and was cold. This is not acceptable especially when the restaurant was not busy. There were not enough condiments to go round and when we asked for ketchup we were handed an empty bottle and told there was a shortage. People around us were complaining and asking for money back, we decided to cut out losses and left. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be going again.

Was on a drive along the coast road when came into hemsby and spotted this place doing a roast dinner and wow was it worth the money £8.95 it was fully filling to where i couldnt eat anymore have given them ideas of doing take away sunday roast or delivery to your caravan lets see how things go great family run business staff great to talk to you should give this place a try great sitting in the sun on decking support your local business keep the great work up dan

If The Two Way Cafe across the road is closed, and you really need to eat, then The Hollywood Diner would do the job. It's not terrible, probably just slightly below average, but the miserable teenage staff were too much to bear on a cloudy September morning

Walked in, there was a dog under the table so walked in with my dog and was refused entry "NO DOGS ALLOWED" surely this is discrimination....... went to Two Way Cafe where we were greeted :)

Right came in on Friday with family my dad took really ill on arrival. The lady Sam ♥️ was a lovely lady and helped every way possible with getting him a seat and bottled water. Wouldn't take any cash or anything. Luckily my dad's fine. So came in Saturday morning and had double burger with bacon. Family had breakfast everything was spot on great food Fantastic service definitely be back soon. Once again thanks so much for helping me out with my dad. I'll never forget that.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The place is worn out and sticky. I witnessed the main waiting person wipe her nose across her arm while carrying someones food out in the other hand. The person was laughing about how they had smashed most the plates and cups... after seeing the above I was repulsed and we took our custom esle where.

A very popular place to eat so can be a queue to order food but it is worth the wait. Great food and good value for money. Staff work hard.

Friendly staff, latte and tea were perfect. Both brekkies hot and tasty. It waa a bit of wait bur we could see that it waa super busy plus the breakfaat was great so worth the wait !

After seeing they recently been awarded 5 stars We gave them another try, Seems not alot has changed, one person taking orders making coffees etc stood in queue for about 10 minutes Sat down for 5 minutes then told they had run out of eggs, this has happened in the past our coffees was left on the serving counter going cold, there was a older ladie member of staff walking about in a see through dress inappropriate for a diner,also disappointed in the music

After many years visiting, ended up not going there again! Portion sizes erratic, food not coming out together, ordered toast and bread and butter with breakfast only to pretty much finish before the missing items coming out even after asking and then when it did it was burnt and un-edible!! Made comments in fb page and ended up being told to basically like it or go somewhere else, then comments removed and blocked from commenting on the page again!!!! For that reason alone I'll be avoiding and somewhere else will get our business... Sad end to a 14 year visiting period 😢

If I could give 0 stars then I would. Visited here today with my family. The sticky tables should have been an instant red flag. The staff member that took our order told us how she wished she was ‘f**king going home’. Food eventually arrived. My son ordered the bbq burger and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was swimming in enough bbq sauce to sink the titanic. He also had the added extra of a long black hair in his fries. We’d also ordered a veggie burger. It arrived and we were told it was a chicken burger. Informed the waitress we’d not ordered a chicken burger but a veggie burger and she just shrugged and said ‘ well it might be veggie burger’ and then walked off. There was another waitress walking around in a skirt so shirt that if she bent over you’d have been able to see what she had for dinner last week, never mind for breakfast. Highly inappropriate dress for a family restaurant. All in all, it was pretty grim. We will not be returning and would advise anyone else not to bother. You’d probably get a more hygienic and better prepared meal if you scraped out the contents of the local dustbin 🤮

Went for full English breakfast. Absolutely spot on .and coffee very good too

The food was a five star rating the best me and the family have tasted for a long long time and saff , Lucy and Lauren was excellent hostess and made us feel happy and welcoming and we will be going back there again as soon as we can 100% perfect staff and food thank you all very much for such a pleasant experience with you all xxx

We normally come here every year but unfortunately the star rating is 0 on the government website until it goes back to 4 we won't be coming witch is a shame but can't risk kids getting sick and to have a 0 on your store is really bad

If there was a nil rating that's what I would give this place. After queuing for absolutely ages, only one person taking orders, making drinks, was told the food I wanted was not available. Surely this should have been put in some kind of notice board. After I left, I discovered my purse had been taken. I went back into the diner to check it was not at the table my family were seated. Not one member of the staff were interested, apart from one girl who checked in the CCTV. Not one member of staff offered my 3 year old granddaughter a drink, who was asking for one. I had to ask for a glass of water. Absolutely no people's skills from the original girl serving. Disgraceful place.

Food was awful, the kids running the place looked bored. Dirty rickety tables. Tatty decor. Food came quickly but was obviously reheated from frozen, or cooked over and over. Nothing American about the diner other than few signs. Avoid

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast we had was lovely! Beautiful bacon and my scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection! Would highly recommended

Went there today as it looked busy but still had plenty of seats. I didn't notice their "CASH ONLY" signs till the member of stuff who took my order pointed them out nothing a quick cash point dash couldn't fix. The staff were all friendly and helpful even when we complained about the food. The kids meals are sized well but the pizza looked like a frozen tesco special pizza. The all day breakfast was all reheated to the point it ruined the sausage. I didnt eat my burger as my child ate it to replace the pizza we got refunded. The chips were nice though. The place was dirty and could do with a good sweep from time to time and the bathroom floor is like an ice rink and a accident waiting to happen. Over all very disappointed for a place that looks like it has great potential.

Food was cheap but enjoyable, place is a bit worn out but with the after effects of covid it's hardly surprising they cant afford to update. Lovely place to eat , plenty of space to sit inside and outside, great service from the staff and great food . Always come here for food when we visit hemsby. If your very hungry and have a big appetite go for the mega breakfast 😳, you will be full for the whole day !!!

I took a look at the remarks made about this hollywood diner before going, had I took notice of the remarks I would not of gone, but I went to see for myself 3 days on the trot, believe me it is the best place to eat in hemsby, I think there are some other very jealous cafe owners in hemsby, who are running them down, it's the best place to eat.

Is this diner still open? Visited twice recently and was closed on both occasions.

Had a meal here on Saturday 28th may , very quiet but let down with staff just sat around laughing and being loud while tables sat with tissue and food under them , one guy serving and working while two girls behind counter with multiple male staff just laughing and messing around ,staff sat on counter and work space behind counter, senior member of staff came out and told them to find things to do ,has soon has this lady left one female member of staff took a sweeping brush and pretended to sweep back and forth the same area while looking out for senior member of staff all the while laughing and messing about. We have eaten here many times and always excellent, this time there was lack of service and no cutlery even tho about 7 staff members acting the fool . I know it was quiet but there was dirty tables and floors ,they are lucky to have jobs

The place needs closing down .Takes on kids to work for them at the age of 14 with no breaks shouts at them with customers outside .And don’t pay them for there work .Giving a 14 year old a job with 7 hours a day to work is breaking the law . Plus they need to sort there floor out very very slippery

A decent breakfast in a retro themed diner. They even have old LP's as place mats! The only draw back is they only take cash which in modern times is very backward in my opinion. The most annoying thing is that the 'cash only' sign was right next to the till so unless you sat down first to browse the menu you wouldn't know until you ordered!

A venue that would appear to be in decline. Shoddy food prepared by youngsters. Cheap bread and stale crisps. Tired tables with dropped food left on the floor. The icing on the cake was CASH only which put a lot of people off.

Great place to eat,, based on an American Diner. Staff were very friendly and the portions of food were so big that we couldn't eat it all.

It's a shame use to be lovely place, staff are friendly but place needs a really good deep clean like some of the chalets do. My feet were sliding on the floor.

Worst meal we had in a while. Waited an hour for the food, could hear the kitchen staff swearing and shouting, no one in the restaurant around us finished their food, 2 other tables had to send their food back and 1 had a refund and walked out. We could smell the toilets from where we were, the food was low quality and overcooked, and more.

Took over an hour to bring our food and was gonna charge £1.50 for tap water and the food wasn't even that nice wouldn't come back they need Gordon

We waited ages for our food but it was excellent, friendly staff only downside was when we sat down we kinda sank into the seat apart from that lovely place, would eat again
