This is the first I've given a review, it's also the first time my wife and I,have had a Sunday lunch from Tavaglione's, it won't be the last, we will know have to rest, as the food was to put it mildly,GREAT we have never had such good food, plenty of it,well cooked piping hot,and delivered to the door,what more could you want, we will be back for more, thank you

Randomly found this place after going to the zoo and honestly it is a gem. The food is 10/10 service was wonderful & will definitely be coming back. I had oxtail & a rum punch & everything was wonderful.

I try to give a restaurant more than one visit before writing a review, I have visited the spice for times now. Sadly not one visit has left me feeling a if I received value for money, or did of a good standard. Four dive in experiences and the take away (solely because its the only Indian in the village. Whether it's the Onion Bhaji ( three very small over fried dry balls for £4.25, or the tandoori king prawn balti with only 4 prawns in for £16.95 - or perhaps the truly putrid chicken korma for£9.95. Save your money and use a different restaurant

Handy for Whipsenade, but food underwhelming.

Absolute bliss! We took two of our grandchildren for a festive Afternoon Tea to celebrate their 18th birthdays. As you would expect, the service was immaculate and the food out of this world. The weather was atrocious, very wet and windy, and the car parked about 300 yards from the main entrance. A member of staff retrieved our coats and blew us away with an offer of a chauffeured ride back to the car park. A memorable end to a memorable day!

Got tipped off about this place from a friend, and it was well worth the 20 minute drive. 2 large cod that were more like whales, with perfectly crisps batter. Large chips that were nice and soft and the perfect amount of salt and vinegar. Great value for money and really good fish and chips. We will be making that journey again regularly!

Went to the hotel for pre booked afternoon tea. Location is very scenic but decor is dated and not well maintained. Our table had a great view but the heater was broken and blowing out cold air on us. The tea was brought out after we had finished the sandwich’s. Although the waiter did apologise. The food quality wasn’t great considering the price. Definitely better on the area. In summary nice views and setting, needs to be maintained better and food quality needs to be improved.

Perfect fresh French sticks served by two happy smiles, great food at a good price

Visited on a Saturday where there’s currently a pie and a pint deal (currently £10). The pies are freshly made (I’ve been told with fresh produce and meat from a market, gathered that morning) as a result the pies on offer do differ from week to week. I had a Chicken Balti pie and it was gorgeous! The staff are very friendly too - definitely recommended as they’ve recently reopened under new management, but this is my first time here in total.

We were there for afternoon tea yesterday. The building is beautiful and stunningly decorated. We enjoyed our tea and the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Varinder and Jennifer were very attentive and courteous. We would highly recommend.
