Skyfry's in Central Bedfordshire

Got tipped off about this place from a friend, and it was well worth the 20 minute drive. 2 large cod that were more like whales, with perfectly crisps batter. Large chips that were nice and soft and the perfect amount of salt and vinegar. Great value for money and really good fish and chips. We will be making that journey again regularly!

Have purchased the chips twice now , both have been so hard there not edible. Won't be buying again .

Worst chips I've ever had ,think they must have been yesterdays,rock hard and Luke warm ,chucked um out for the birds and they didn't touch um ,pucka pie was anything but pucka ,over cooked look warm ,so first and last time i go there(skyfry) no apologies ignor the bad reviews and answer to the good ones

Chips absolutely awful. Full of chippings Hard to find a decent chip. Would not recommend if you want decent chips.

Tried 1st time yesterday evening. Nicely cooked and very tasty cods and fair portion of chips . Would recommend.

Very good chips cooked in a light oil. Had good service despite arriving very close to shutting up shop.. The owner cooked me a special portion of chips to take home.

Canny pie and chips with curry sauce

Very disappointing. £6 for plain over cooked beef burger that was like chewing on an old boot and a portion of chips that didn't taste or look fresh either.

I've been using Skyfrys's for years and the food quality is second to non, it's the best fish and chip shop around. Family owned, family run, lovely friendly people. Thank you.

Best fish and chip shop around, we won’t get from anywhere else after getting fish & chips from Skyfrys. Portion sizes are great, food is fresh & value for money, staff are lovely and super friendly too, highly recommend 😊

Having called & ordered by leaving a message we waited & waited. When we called later to find out when it might arrive they told us that they had no order from us. We said that we had left a message on their voicemail were told that they don't listen to messages as there are too many. Quite what the point of having a voicemail is I do not know. They told us that we should have used our common sense & not left a message - quite rude we thought. The meal arrived in good time & the delivery man was very friendly. The chips were lovely but the batter on the fish was really soggy. Don't think we'll be ordering from them again - shame as we like to use local businesses.

Purchased fish and chips at Skyfrys in Caddington on Saturday. Got home unwrapped fish and chips to find the meal soggy and dripping in fat (wrapping was soaking wet with fat). Totally inedible. Had to throw it all away. As no contact number listed for them - wrote this review instead. Won't be going back.
