The White Swan Inn in Central Bedfordshire

We found the bar staff to be very rude and we felt very unwelcome. The girl serving was moaning we had turned up without booking, if that's the case why is their no signs outside saying you need to book for a drink ?

A really lovely pub right in the heart of Dunstable. Tash and all the team do everything they can to make you feel welcome and looked after. The food is great, and you can speak to them for holding space/events too. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is great, especially the roasts and sharing platters. They're family friendly and have a kids menu, going above and beyond to accommodate sometimes fussy eaters. And not forgetting the quiz that's on every other wednesday - it's great fun too and includes food!

A great warm and welcoming experience. Great food. All food allergies dealt with. Home-baked food was greatly received. Al in all a great win 🏆

Went for lunch after shopping, fab! 3 of us all had food, quality excellent, cooked beautifully and very reasonable, quick service too, will definitely be back

Popped in to visit a mate for a pint...clean & tidy with TV screens & pool table. Food looked good, various levels & a rear garden . Minimal local parking.

This is my local and I visit regularly. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is very nice and the prices are comparable to other pubs in the area. Great place to go for a business lunch during the week. And great for a night out at the weekend.

Perfect place for a great eat definitely worth its price and to stay with the amazing and friendly staff who do amazing with serving drinks day and night and the amazing kitchen staff who always come out and make the best meal for you and your friends and family as well been able to host amazing events for everyone as well as the community for Dunstable best place to go may not be the biggest pub but one of the most loved pub with there amazing garden

De passage dans le coin pour le boulot, je me suis arrêté ici pour dîner. Bon Établissement, le personnel est accueillant et sympathique, l'ambiance un soir de semaine était plutôt agréable avec une table de copains qui rigolent et qui chantent ! La carte est variée, la cuisine est bonne et le choix de bières corrects. J'ai passé un bon moment !

Me and 4 friends went for the Boozy Afternoon Tea on The Tipsy Terrace. Excellent value for money!! Loads of home made food-cakes, sandwiches, sausage rolls, cake shots! Lots of drink choices. The staff were very attentive and we felt very looked after. The terrace is beautiful and really well thought out. There was a DJ all day. We had such a great time, the vibe was friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend this pub for food, beer in the garden or a night out 👌

Staff so friendly and helpful. They made the 10 of us very welcome. You lost a star because we would have all had dessert but you had nothing in on the menu only a brownie - you lost a few pounds because of that.

Lovely roast from Tash and the Team as always, perfect treat on a Sunday after work, no cooking for me !! Never had a bad meal from The White Swan and if you have a food allergy just let them know, they cater for my Coeliac son whenever I ask !

Went for a Beer 5th January 2023. Girl behind the bar poured my pint and sat out of site in eating area on her phone. The pub was empty. After finishing my pint I sat for a while with an empty glass. More people arrived who were served immediately. May as well have stayed at home. No dialogue, poor service.

Lovely meal delivered warm. Really tasty cheeseburger. Love to know what cheese that was. Might want to check your coleslaw. Was a bit sour and had a bit of a whiff, so I left it. But other than that…yummy 😁

Food was vile. Burger was way to over cooked. Chips cold. Only decent thing was onion rings.

Ordered and paid for cauliflower cheese but didn’t get any 😞

Quite small. Potatoes taste like they have been made hours earlier and Yorkshire puds were flat soft and chewy.

We went there as we thought the carling premier was on but it wasn't (I would maybe take the sign down). However we got a table and the songs on were very much my style. Good music, not too loud and seemed to be well controlled in there. Definitely go back again if I was in dunstable.

Unfortunately for me it's Monday and not a good day to rate a pub but was a comfortable experience if a little expensive compared to its sister pub the Old Sugar Loaf, Swan always had a good reputation in the 1990s so good luck keep it up.

Came in with my daughters for dinner, gammon egg and chips was delicious. Friendly staff and very reasonable priced.

Ordered a takeaway today . Got home to dish up . No Yorke puds no stuffing . Very disappointed.😞. However the food and the portion size was amazing. Lovely tasting . Just like a great home cooked meal 5 star food . Shame was let down by yorkie and stuffing missing .

Ordered sunday beef lunch.....only downside was veg carrots and runner beans were slightly undercooked and my fork handle snapped whilst eating dinner but all in all I would definitely come again.....

Lovely little pub. Cosy and lively. Good pint and nice crowd. The gardens pretty and the whole pub has a rather posh feel whilst also being comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. Im yet to sample their food but im told that both the dining in and food delivery is top notch. Live music events are good here especially on St Patrick's day

Extra yorkies missing which was a shame as they were lovely! But things happen and didn’t spoil the meal overall. Otherwise very delicious meal will order again

Burgers were amazing especially the veggie burger. Chip portion was a little small, if you’re a big eater then order 2 portions of chips

My meal was missing half of the items and the excuse I was given was “they cannot sent replacement because of how just eat works” and to add it onto my order next time. So because of a error made by the restaurant (not handed to the driver) I have to just accept it, therefore it becomes my problem.

I didn't go in as they weren't doing food but the doorman was cool

The food is really good that we have ordered from there, the problem we have is the restaurant can be open but just eat never seam to show them as taking orders, there one of the best burger places about but have real problems ordering, last time we set it all up to order then it said not taking orders. By time had sorted out a diffrent order threw another place, added the just eat gift card and within the 30 mins it took to sort other order the white Swan were taking orders again. Its very frustrating But food is normally quite good, although chips were cold last time

Roast potatoes were hard and no vegetables delivered.

Chips came without cheese and bacon. Toffee pudding rock solid with no custard.

The food was so nice, it makes a change from the usual Chinese etc. The quantity is very good too, will definitely order from them again .

I made a mistake with my order. I'm so used to restaurants including chips with their main course. Unfortuantly I ordered just a plain hot dog with a sticky toffee pudding. I felt very frustrated.

My food was delivered 45 minutes late. I ordered a Jacket potato and beans. Eventually The White Swan called me to apologise as they don't know where the delivery/just eat driver is. They had to reheated my meal several times, due to just-eat driver being uncontactable.. When the driver did eventually make it to The White Swan, then subsequently able to deliver my order some 10 minutes later. Which is what it should have taken initially.... NOT 45 minutes later...

Roast potatoes wasn't cooked they was rock solid still which ruined 3 roast dinners..ended up throwing all 3 meals in the bin..when u spend £37 pound for 3 meals you should at least get cooked potatoes..

Food was barely warm, hardly any veg or gravy and never got the extra Yorkshire pudding. Food isn’t as nice as it used to be.

Great food as always but smaller portions than normal and both portions of pigs in blankets were missing.

Unfortunately this was the second roast we have ordered but probably out last, the meat was dry and fatty, we weren’t given any gravy, parsnips weren’t really cooked properly it was a real let down!

Just delicious! Our cheeseburger and veggie burgers were quality product and cooked to perfection. But the real star was dessert. Thanks so much for the little boxes of substitutes you gave us as our dessert was out of stock. It was better than the desserts we’d actually ordered. You should have it on the menu! The food was lush - well cooked, tasty, well packaged and delivered. Made a change to the usual takeaways. You should defo give the Swan a try!
