Thomas the manager at the star Wetherspoons in Hoddesdon had the worst attitude. We asked for a brandy and it came with ice. We called someone over which happened to be Thomas and advised there shouldn't be any ice in Brandy to which he sharply responded "well I'm not making you another one". He advised us it was our error for not removing ice on the app, however there wasn't an option to remove. He was talking to my boyfriends dad and his partner who are in their 70s showed he was being ageist and kicked us out. Absolutely appalling service and I would never recommend coming here if you are being served by him. Please re-evaluate who you employ.

I ordered peanut soyp with Tilapia Fish and I received meat wit Tilapia soup which is so disappointing

We have always used Tandoori Nights when we order an Indian Takeaway and have always been happy with the food. However, we have not had food from there for a while as we are cutting back on takeaways. It was my husbands birthday on Saturday so we thought we would treat ourselves. We were so disappointed with the quality of the food. Maybe they have a new cook? It seemed as if the meat ( not the good quality we remember) had been pre-cooked and then put in whatever sauce it was meant to have. The chicken Tikka was dry and quite tasteless. Even the Peshwari Naan seemed to be missing the raisins and very little coconut. Unfortunately we will think twice about ordering from them again. So sad.

I’m so pleased this takeaway has been taken over,they were the only place that would make me a curry just how l liked but when they went downhill it was like they just didn’t care anymore.I heard they were taken over and they were better than ever so had to try for myself,I was not disappointed.My husband went in with my specific requirements (I know,I’m that difficult customer) and boy did they deliver,I literally felt like it was my birthday,it’s been so long since I could enjoy a good curry and I’m just so grateful to these guys for making it happen. Needless to say I highly recommend the new and improved Nabila Spices and can’t wait for more. July 2023

Thought we would give it a try being a fairly new establishment, Coffee is really nice , however food options are very limited but loads of toast / egg options ( tuna melt, cheese toastie, eggs florrentine, eggs benedict eggs royal, egg on toast, scrambled eggs... and also frappes.... they also do individually priced items for a fry up, clever move as it can cost a small fortune) I asked if they if they would make me a ham salad on brown bread and got the most weirdest look to be told the only options were what was in front of me in the fridge counter. Not a lover of fridge sandwiches and definitely not doorstep ones sitting there that aren't covered. Ok i might sound fussy and boring butJust for that reason I wouldn't go back. There are some superb cafes and coffee bars in the area

I visit here once a week for a treat. I enjoy double sausage, soft egg and chips. The food is very good and the service very prompt. The waitress always remembers my weekly order which is great. I recommend this clean and very friendly cafe. This place is very friendly for solo travellers.

They lie about delivery times. Will tell you it'll be within the hour, then when you call back to a no show its 'another 20 mins, drivers on way' then no show n so it goes on and on until they turn up over 2 hrs later with cold greasy pizza and a wrong order !! Food and service has gone down hill, never gonna use them again ! There's far better pizza delivery companies locally (pizza go-go, pizza hut, papa John's etc)

Situated inside Sainsbury's, this is a pleasant space and a lovely cup of coffee can always be found there. The staff, all of the staff, are personable, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite Starbucks being global and as homogenised as possible, the atmosphere and staff team can vary - happily for this branch everything is at the fabulous end of the spectrum!

Sunday lunch was appalling, tasteless and overpriced Carvey with limited choice. Extremely disappointed.
