The best restaurants in Shenfield Brentwood East of England

So glad Brentwood now has an amazing Chef. Every dish here I cannot fault. Fresh, tasty, well presented. The whole team are lovely. Well done.

Once again, we headed to Sienna's for Sunday lunch. And, once again, we were not disappointed. Having also had some excellent evening birthday meals here, it's high time to share a review...With just enough covers to give the restaurant a welcoming atmosphere but not too many to lose its intimacy this is a superb spot for Sunday lunch or weekend dinner. The fixed price (two/three-course) Sunday menu has a great choice of tasty starters, mains including, of course, the staple roast beef dinner, which was first-class. There was no room for desserts but the blackboard did have some very appealing sweets chalked upon it, too. With cocktails, beers and a decent choice of wines, there's something for everyone at all levels and at a price that represents good value for money in this day and age. The young servers were efficient, polite and helpful, too. The owners have clearly come up with a winning formula. Definitely worth a visit.

Went last night for the first time to celebrate a family birthday. The food was fantastic, staff could not have been friendlier or helpful. Reasonable prices too for Shenfield.. will definitely revisit !

Just the best here!!!! Visited several time since first finding it in February this year, travelling by train from Ilford. Absolutely worth the journey. Its like an oasis in a desert. All the staff are so luvvvvvverly, and really can't do enough for you. The menu is so original, the food is really good, with a constantly changing "daily specials" choice, and their home made really cakes are amazing. Who needs fancy London venues, prices and crazy crowds. Well done to all at Woody's and yes, we'll be back. Michael G.

very ordinary nothing special and over priced at £41 for three breakfasts. My first and last order unfortunately.

What a coffee shop should be , very friendly and love to treat any pets that visit so they enjoy it too . Great coffee , very clean , love the cakes yet to sample the lunch but it looks great .

I ordered motor paneer, tarka daal, and veg Passanda. From the vegetables to the paneer cheese, everything was mushy, and tasted suspiciously similar. All ready for takeaway in 20 minutes... Not awful, but not great. I've definitely had better at other Indian restaurants.

BE CAREFUL, ordered a spirit & mixer and was served a double (which I didn’t not ask for or want!)… This has happened on both the last occasions I visited. Luckily I was sober and my taste buds knew how strong this small glass of drink was so I questioned it… Bad business just trying to sell more alcohol to what seems like a more younger crowd these days. Also dangerous to anyone who may be limiting or tracking their drinking. Used to really enjoy a late night stop off at the vault, until recently… Last two times I’ve been in there not only do you have to now pay to get in there & queue, the bar staff (most, not all) and what appears to be a new manager are so so rude… You don’t serve someone a double unless they ask for it!! Be careful everyone not only are you drinking more than you realise, they are charging you more money than you need to spend…!!!

We have had Sunday lunch several times in the last 2 years and the standard has definitely dropped. Soggy roast potatoes undercooked vegetables. Such a shame.

Literally the world’s worst costa. Unless there is literally no one inside you’re waiting until someone has walked to South America to pick coffee beans themselves before being served. The fact that it’s the only real coffee shop on the high street remains the only reason it hasn’t been made to shut its doors. Anymore than 1 customer in that store and it’s a guaranteed 10 minute wait. Staff are nice enough. Place is just hardly ever clean. And only come if you’ve got half an hour spare to wait for a coffee being made. Still it makes for a fun game playing ‘which one of these people who placed an order after me will be served before me’ Last 5 years has been the same. Sooner someone who cares about service puts it out of business, the better

Food was fantastic, had the trio of roasts and all three meats were spot on. Some of the best chicken I’ve had in a very long time and the roast potatoes were lovely. Service was also great.

Ordered coffee, but was disappointed as it wasn't as nice as usual. Not sure why, but we'll still go again as I'm sure it was probably a one off...

Went here this evening to see what it was like and was warmly greeted by the staff and seated very quickly. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the wines were really good and the Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve ever had. I’m very fussy when it comes to roast dinners and honestly, it was insane! We will certainly be back!

Best indian in brentwood - dont do delivery service, collection only. Amazing quality meal and good value, have brought many friends and family who all agree the food is some of the best they have had
