Expensive cake is getting thinner

Good outlet with friendly staff, not always a fan of the ubiquitous chains but this one's alright...good for a tea and a sausage bap on a Sunday morning stop whilst walking the dog...tea especially good 👍

I was sent the wrong coffee. It had caramel added which I didn't order. It would have been simple for Justeat to refund the one coffee and that would have been fine. The rest of the order was fine. But Just eat have spent 3 days emailing me back asking for photographic evidence of the caramel in the coffee!! Still waiting for them to explain how a picture could show that. Avoid using Justeat as if you have an issue they do not do anything about it

No caramel syrup was added it tasted so strong that couldnt drink it.

im gay and this place is really lgbt friendly especially the women workers who know my gay struggle i came in with my boyfriend rifat ahmed, who attends a sixth form in tower hamlets and he enjoyed his gayperience too. he was allowed to embrace his gender identity (he is genderfluid afab queer) and i am guy born with a meat rod.

Lemon tart was nice, skin became yellow. Thanks for making me Chinese. Now I can do maths twice as fast, and ace my exams! Also the coffee was energising to say the least, I guess you could say it “fired up my insides”! Cheerio, see you on the next one! 👋 P.S life is what you make it, make the most in life - cause life is short. There may be bitter moments, but we should strive to appreciate it for what it is, and learn to grow from it. This is what life is all about my friends.

Not a pleasant experience. The Manager on last week is rather rude and unapproachable. Ordered coffee and cookie to eat in. The coffee was taken as a free coffee on my Costa card when not asked to do so and my order was presented as a takeout so a bag and paper cup. I said I asked for this order to be eat-in but this simple request caused an unnecessary reaction from the manager and staff member for their own error. The cookie was thrown on a plate and I foresaw the coffee just being tipped into a cup so said I would drink the coffee (which was mainly milk froth which once it settled was less than half a paper cup) as is. This is not the first time the manager has been unprofessional so this will probably be my last visit to this particular Costa as clearly there is staffing problem at this venue which ideally an area manager needs to review.

This place is now marked as phone stealing place with paper distracting tactic Two days in row people with Paper in hand enters to store, tries to reach customers sitting, show something in paper while trying to steal your phone under the paper. Baristas cannot help with this as they are busy but COSTA management needs to do something BE AWARE!

Popped in for a coffee and catch up, very busy, tables not cleared quickly and service was slow.

I had a hot chocolate, when is nice weather I like to seat outside.

I frequently come here. "Medium hot chocolate please"... It'll be served semi warm, or even worse the glass will be cold... so I return yet again to the counter. This time... semi warm... 50% foam. Only once, in recent weeks, did a young girl warm the glass while the milk was being heated... and it was correctly filled. Is it really too hard to train staff and serve hot chocolate hot and in a full glass?

Can't make coffee... one of the worst "capuchino" coffees I've had. Barely any froth and so milky... more like a latte. I didn't drink it. Couldn't be bothered to return it as I'd already changed from a medium to a small and got money back on that. Please ask customers what size they want rather than offer the one you want to sell!

Came for a coffee after work, refurbishment looks great. Staff are friendly & the atmosphere is much more inviting than before. Pricing is on the expensive side but that’s costa for you.

Very busy noisy but always a much needed pleasure. Great service from a young lady who was very keen on cleaning away tables after people were leaving great to see hope she makes it to become a barista one day

I opened our drinks to find we only had half the cup full on a large drink order. Wasn’t very hot.

Only been here once before years ago so went yesterday to meet friends. Very busy to the point staff couldn’t cope, long queues and no one to clear tables, was dirty. Wrong drinks being given out, lots of small children (afters school) running around, one unbelievably riding his scooter inside! Went to the loo, absolutely disgusting wouldn’t let the dog use it. All in all a bad experience and won’t be going again. Also has been refurbished with cheap furniture and feels like a bus station waiting room.

The Costa in shenfield needed a lot of work both with a referb and some decent baristas/staff in general. We visited again today, they have had a great refit and the staff seem very happy and the atmosphere is great. My two year old son made friends with a great new worker canned Sef and I’m sure they will get some happy new costumers now they have implemented some changes.
