The best restaurants in Breckland East of England

Decided to have a snack here and apparently had run out of jacket potatoes!. Slightly surprised, but had to pick a toastie which was nice and hot and enjoyable.

Excellent food and service at a most reasonable price. Lovely surroundings in the centre of Thetford. Well worth a visit!

Reservamos una mesa para las 20: 30, pero llegué temprano para tomar una pinta, pero ellos arreglaron una mesa temprano y también una gran variedad para los vegetarianos. Las raciones son bastante grandes y los dos no pudimos comer toda nuestra comida. Lo que fue difícil, ya que era muy agradable y también un grupo tan amable de personal que nos sentimos muy bien atendidos. Recomendaría este lugar a todos.

Home-made cakes, light meals and a range of drinks served at very fair prices by friendly staff. The 1950s atmosphere of the place is pleasant and on some days you can watch the trains running in and out of the station. A great place for meeting friends for a mardle.

I happened to go in on the day they first opened. Home cooked food and cakes, friendly service and the profits go to local community causes.

A greatvlittleccafe just off the beaten track. Well worth seeking out. Excellent food and service at fair prices. The range of foods is hood as is their afternoon tea.

I popped down to one of the car meets that takes place (second Sunday of every month). Just had a coffee but the place is nice inside, clean, toilets spotless and the new owner has plans to further expand/improve. I will definitely be back for a cooked breakfast or similar soon.

Such an amazing place amazing food amazing people the warm welcome and felt like it was home from home Karen was outstanding in looking after us her team were outstanding we like it so the first nite we booked again for the following had he stayed in the area we would have booked every day cannot recommend this little gem highly enough We shall be returning at our soonest opportunity

Nice venue (if it's not raining) cakes expensive (£3.50), scones no cream & no carrot cake. But service quick & efficient. Nicely kept lake/pond & nice view.

We have eaten here for Sunday roast and enjoyed a recent 'round the world' evening (Caribbean). The staff are wonderful ... really welcoming and attentive throughout. The food ..... omg!! You can smell how wonderful it's going to be, as soon as you park your car ... It is absolutely delicious 😋... the roasts are gorgeous, loads of tender meat/choice and beautifully cooked veg.. with a huge yorkshire pud ... that I wish I could master, but why bother when you can come to the L&R!! 🤔😁 The themed nights are tapas style with loads of meat/veg/hot/cold options and believe me.... each dish just absolutely melts in your mouth, and all are all so full of flavour and perfect balance of herbs/spices.... just simply delicious. Before each time we've been, we said to each other... 'we're not having desert' ... then seeing what comes out of the kitchen.. that statement went out the window!! Once you've finished, you can also then take home a selection of goodies ... pastries/pies/cakes etc from the fabulous deli counter... and I challenge you not to eat them before you get home ... or eat them as soon as you do get home ... as they smell, look, and taste so delicious. There's a fabulous choice of beers and lovely wines. Please visit, you will not be disappointed. Thank you L&R... keep up the good work and delicious food... and as Annie said .... we'll be back!! I've only ever popped in for a coffee and a cheese scone but have found both to be excellent. The staff are wonderful and always smiling and courteous. I hope to make time to pop in for something more adventurous soon. Would highly recommend a visit if you've not been already.
